I am seeing the same problem as most comments left here about Visual Composer not working when adding / editing posts.
I have upgraded to WP 4.5.1, Salient Theme 7.0.8 and Visual Composer is 4.11.2. However when editing or adding a post I see the “Classic Mode” button so this is on the Visual Composer mode but I see nothing (code and even the buttons to add content). However if I click “Classic Mode” it takes me to the classic composer and I can see all the HTML / code for the page.
I have uninstalled the theme and uploaded manually, deleted the Visual Composer and re-installed by the directions I have seen on previous pages but it still doesn’t work when everything is upgraded to the latest versions. I have even deactivated all plugins and the problem persists.
Is there an update coming to fix this issue?

Hey, there’s no known issue that causes VC to not work when using the latest version. Could you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on

Hi, problem solved…I logged in as the admin account and straight away I saw the Page Builder and the buttons to add more elements. So that obviously means it is working and there is no issues—so thought is it a user account issue?
When I logged back in again as my usual account and changed to Visual Composer / Page Builder it wasn’t there, but for some reason I had something telling me to scroll down…and there it was the Page Builder but minimised. For some reason (more than likely me ) it had moved to the bottom of the page and been minimised. Moved it back to the top and all is OK!
BTW: I do think this is a great theme, so keep up the great work!

Have implemented a nectar slider on my homepage with a height of 600px.
My first picture in the slide 1 is 899 wide by 600 pixels high?.
If we take a look at slide on homepage, image is cropped !
I thought that assigning a 16: 9 ratio convenience but it unfortunately does not seem to work.?
Seen on other post that you advise to using the Flexible Slider Height option in Nectar Slider?, but can’t find it !
Could you please give me the correct ratio to apply or explain to me how to make it work correctly ?

Hi, I did update salient and VB but under Slide Settings / Slide Image for both Home Slider and Nectar Slider, nothing happens after clicking UPLOAD.

You can use a Nectar Slider above the blog if desired – you’d just need to use the Nectar Slider element in Visual Composer with a Nectar Blog element underneath it

Hey guys, Speed issues for a new site; wait times on these elements when i do a ping speed test are BY FAR the ones taking up most time:

Loading is waiting for like 2-3sec on each of these then taking another sec to transfer data. Is this normal? Can I reduce these particular load times with plugin? Any known solutions for speeding up salient theme? Seems very chunky.

For everyone who hasn’t seen the announcements,
In regards to WordPress 4.5
The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.
Hi, is there a way to make the lightbox (LightGallery) on this site http://bit.ly/26suMDZ stay on top of the page, hiding the menu section and logo? I tried to make the header transparanet in order for it not to conflict with the Lightbox but the the icons on the top right aren’t clickable anymore. When you scroll down past the header height, the icons of the lightbox are clickable again. Please help! Thanks!

Page Builder functionality doesn’t appear on the new license I bought for http://eatwellplease2.wpengine.com, but it DOES work for the Salient installed on woodycreative.com.

Hey! Having an issue where when a site loads in IE11 it often doesn’t load the header logo but instead loads the site name. Is this a known issue? Refreshing the page a second time can help sometimes and it will load. Here’s a test link: http://e23.872.mwp.accessdomain.com/contact/

Was able to fix the logo issue in IE by using SVG format logo files instead. Still having the issue with the photo gallery too though. And also an issue where the locations page won’t load with the Hero Maps plugin. But I think thats an issue with that plugin and not Salient.

Thanks. Do you mean for the photo gallery part? Thats still an issue in IE only. Hero Maps is now working normally with AJAX transitions turned off. That was solved today.
