Is there a way to change the Nectar Slider autoplay settings? Presently the slider does not alternate slides unless the user clicks the arrow. How can I change this? Thanks!

Hi. I have items sorted in columns on a page which displays all of the portfolios. I have this page set to display a certain number per page. The pagination page numbers automatically appear at the bottom. Is there any way to get the page numbers to appear at the top preferably under the headline text instead of at the bottom underneath the content?

Hey, you’ll need to edit the nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php file in regards. In there search for the “nectar_portfolio_processing” function

Im in need of more accent colors for my theme right now I am limited tor four colors for Icons is there away to add custom color beyond the four I set? I tried adding a color code in the icon itself but it required on of the accent colors.
Hey, as of now the only way to handle this would be with custom css. If you can share your URL and let me know which element you’re trying to change on the page I can provide an example

Please fix the external links option for the Visual Composer Gallery option. I would like to use URLs from Flickr in the image gallery so I can make my site faster by using flickr images instead of local images.

In regards to WordPress 4.5
The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.
Hello. Love your theme. We recently bought VC Grid Builder, only to find out later that in order to use it we need to disable the Salient VC. Unfortunately we rely heavily on your VC and can’t disable it. I noticed in a previous comment, dated 11 months ago, you guys said Grid Builder would be added to the next version of VC. Although I’m not seeing it in the most recent release. Am I missing it or did it not get added to the release? If not, any plans on adding Grid Builder? Thanks for your time.
Hey, it was a possibility at the time but Salient ended up getting the extended control of the portfolio type to allow similar setups instead for the time being – it’s still an item that’s on the wishlist though
Is there any way to control how embedded youtube videos display when added as portfolio posts? They are automatically scaled up and to fill the full space. It is nothing I can control via the Page Builder and I really don’t want them to be scaled up so large.

Hi. I have Salient Version: 1.1.4. and the latest WP 4.5.1. and I have VC version 4.7. Where do I get Salient 7.0.8 (and how do I update it without losing content) and how do I get the required VC for free? What’s the process?
Are you using the Salient VC or regular VC? As the Salient VC wasn’t included in Salient v1 – you can download the theme again from here though or use the Envato toolkit plugin http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/toolbox-of-the-smart-wordpress-developer-the-envato-wordpress-toolkit--cms-23883
Also if you modded core files of the theme those changes will be lost in updating

I update the plugins when prompted. I also tried to download the latest Salient theme on my account and upload the theme again, but it says the file already exists. The page builder does not work. I have the latest WP and need to know how to update Salient without losing content.
There’ no prompt to update Salient from the admin panel unless you’re using the Envato toolkit plugin as I mentioned above http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/toolbox-of-the-smart-wordpress-developer-the-envato-wordpress-toolkit--cms-23883 – you can either use that or you’ll have to delete your Salient theme before you upload the new version. Once you have Salient 7.0.8 you’ll then have access to the Salient VC update in the plugins section of your admin panel
Hello, I am using the Calendarize it! plugin and am having ONE issue.. On the actual event page all of my text is being surrounded by a blue box.. it’s almost as if it’s being surrounded by a button that I created in the salient theme..

As for the areas of large text where you’re using inline styling to get 60px on a paragraph tag, e.g. “Spurningum svarað”. Instead use heading tags which you can define the attributes in the Salient options panel > typography tab. This way the line height won’t be messed up on smaller screens

It still looks terrible, the background images i’m using on two rows just kind of gets messed up on smaller screens, the custom button in the menu merges into the letters of other menu items and certain row panels aren’t getting placed properly – it’s a mess. I need real-time assistance guys, i’m desperate here.

Quick question – getting ready to migrate my site from GoDaddy to WebSynthesis and wanted to verify that the theme would work on their hosting platform. The only item to verify with the theme is that it does not require the exec() / exec.php or url_fopen functions, as both of those have been disabled on Synthesis hosting for security reasons. Can you verify? Thanks!

Hey – it shouldn’t take long at all, there could be something configured on your hosting setup that’s not allowing it to go through. If you want to try importing the raw XML files you can find them in salient/nectar/redux-framework/extensions/wbc_importer directory

Hello,
I know I may be asking for help out your control, but I’m looking for guidance. I accidentally placed the salient theme files directly over the Wordpress files in the first directory in the htdocs file via ftp and messed my site up. I have reinstalled my database and a fresh wordpress install, however most of my content will not load or show on the site now and I cant upload my previous plugins as this causes the site to whitescreen. Portoflio pages will not load even though the content is visible backend. Help would be appreciated.

Hey, I’m sorry to hear that..have you contacted your hosting company in regards? If you’re experiencing these issues on a fresh install you’ll need to check the server error logs to see what errors are being reported when the white screen is triggered

By default the video is replaced with the “Preview Image” you have set in the slide – mobile devices do not allow video backgrounds
