I have issues with adding a module using SP Builder. I have a html module to display 4 social media icons horizontally, within the module the icons are cantered and horizontal. When I add the module to the page builder, the icons are displayed vertically. Where am I going wrong???

You can use K2 with Flex. Some of our customers are using K2 on their sites. However, it is fair to say that we didn’t style Flex for K2. As we mentioned in previous comments somewhere, we were not motivated to go for K2, because of Flex’s blogging features (post formats), voting and comments engines, and now since Flex version 1.5 has been released, with new “Include Component” (shortcode) plugin which inserts component into Joomla article or Page Builder’s page. With this you can load PageBuilder’s pages (and Virtuemart’s) into the Joomla’s articles, blog pages (posts) and vice versa. So, this brings much more features to the website then K2.
Our support is focused on Flex template and extensions used on the demo website (Quickstart), not on K2.

Flex is coming with SP Page Builder Pro. There are two packages: Quickstart demo installation, which includes latest SP Page Builder with all the sample pages as seen on our demo, and “Template Only” installation which is for installation/update on existing Joomla website. Then, if you choose “Template Only” installation, you will find SP Page Builder Pro (latest version) in “Extensions” folder as required extension of downloaded package.
So, in both ways, SP Page Builder Pro is there. However, Flex and SP Page Builder are two parts that make up a whole or complete each other. Majority of pages shown on our demo are made with Page Builder.
Updates are coming regularly for Flex, which includes latest SP Page Builder’s version, so only way to update Page Builder is using Joomla’s installer (admin > Extensions > Install > Choose from “Extensions” folder of downloaded package.

Tooltips are not included into Page Builder, because it is tiny simple (bootstrap) html code like this: data-toggle=”tooltip” . You just change data-toggle= to whatever you want.

data-toggle=”tooltip” title=”Here goes the title”, and title=”...” will be your tooltip.

I am noticing some bugs in Firefox:
- Featured Box images are not resizing to be responsive. Images appear full width regardless of column width
- Google Maps zoom feature doesn’t work properly

Hi, How can I show a rsform inside SP page builder? I have tried text block, raw html and joomla module but not working. Any ideas? Rsform works with joomla article. Thank!

Did you try “Article” addon? If extension (Rsform) has module, then “Module” Addon should be enough.

You have found something that is old problem for all developers. For now, there is no way to have background video on mobile (specially IOS), it doesn’t support automatic video play. That’s why the fallback image is shown on IOS (iPad or iPhone) instead of video, looking a bit better then empty DIV. Page builder in Flex provides fallback image for mobile devices, that are not supporting video background.

I went through whole selection of theme forest Joomla based templates and i couldn’t find anything that was suitable form my project. Few days later i just searched for latest templates and Flex was the only new upload. When i saw it ,that was it ! It looked as someone just made it the way i need it to be.
Since the first day i purchased this great template it is only getting better and better with every new update.
Ability to place light box gallery anywhere in article is really needed.
I hope to see in new update more options of display order of articles.
This temple deserves to have enable more than one option when choosing “reason for rating”

Hi, I like flex theme design. After comparing between so many template, this is the best template design for me. I am interested to buy, but have some questions before deciding, please let me know.
In our country internet connection speed (incl. website speed) is an important issue. I’m trying to compare between flex and revibe (from joomshaper) template speed using gtmetrix.com, and the result is:
- Flex better on “pagespeed grade” score: 79% vs. 42%
- But on “page load time” score, flex slower significantly: 12.0s vs. 2.3S
- also on “total # of request” score: 143 vs 57
Do you have any plan to improve on point 2 & 3? when?

We didn’t want to compromise the look and length of the pages, specially Homepages, with a loading time. When you have quite a few images, videos and blocks, this means also a total of requests is higher, obviously.
If you decide to buy Flex, and you want to make pages “faster”, you can simply make “smaller” pages, and also, activate CSS and Javascript compression, that is available in template’s admin. Then, you will have significantly, faster loading.
So, as for the demo, we are not planning to strip it from the content, that it is there right now. I can tell you though, that in a few days, the new update is coming with great new plugin, we call it a “revolutionary”, that will load PageBuilder’s pages (and Virtuemart’s) into the Joomla’s articles, blog pages (posts). With this, pages are going to be even lengthier, but awesome. Imagine, that you can put Lightbox Gallery right into your article (blog) where you want?

Hi Aplikko, I tried to update the template using the flex_template_only_j3.zip (on a quick start installation) and even if I can see that the template has been updated to 1.4, the AP Smart LayerSlider is still in 3.3.1… What is the best way to install the update ? Can I use Akeeba Backup or other tools, fresh install Flex 1.4 and the restore ? Update process should be improve… Many thanks.

You can update AP Smart LayerSlider using Joomla’s installer (Extensions > Manage > Install). Please, choose from Extensions/AP Smart LayerSlider Module/mod_ap_smart_layerslider_3.4.zip from your downloaded package. It takes just a few seconds to do it.
Flex template_only package doesn’t include automatic update for extensions, like Virtuemart, AP Smart Layer Slider, SP Page Builder, SP Simple Portfolio and Acymailing, only template. This is normal, because some users don’t need all of the extensions mentioned, for example Virtuemart. They are buidling new website from the “scratch” and don’t need Virtuemart (for example). Updating all of the extensions is pretty quick, one by one, using Joomla’s installation (Extensions > Manage > Install). Of course, if you have current version of Virtuemart (3.0.14), then you don’t need to update, only extension that needs to be updated.
No need for Akeeba backup in this matter.
