The dropdown menus for my website have stopped working about 4 months ago. I tried updating the theme, etc. to fix the issue, but no luck. I’m trying to renew my item support, but am not sure how… Either way, I think this falls under “general theme funcationality.” Please advise and thank you. The site is http://botart.org and the Overview tab should have a dropdown.

Your site’s console shows some error, referring to incompatibility with new WordPress version.
Latest Capri 1.4.1 includes Visual Composer 4.11.2.1 that works fine with new WordPress. You have very old version of theme and VC plugin.
So, update your theme first
You can update your theme by performing the following steps:
Download the latest theme zip file from ThemeForest
Extract it and locate capri.zip
Extract capri.zip and locate the ‘capri’ folder
Copy/Replace the contents of the ‘capri’ folder to the /wp-content/themes/capri folder of your web site.
Then You can upgrade Visual Composer by performing following steps:
1. Please make sure main theme is activated while performing other steps
2. Go to Plugins page in your WordPress Dashboard, locate Visual Composer in the list, deactivate it and delete it
3. You will see message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard
4. Install the plugin and then activate it
And clear browser cache upon update.

Per your previously provided instructions on another comment, I now have no Visual Composer installed on my installation of Wordpress and have no way of installing it again through Capri.
I currently have Wordpress version 4.5.2, Capri theme version 1.4.1. I have deactivated and deleted Visual Composer, per your instructions. Well the “message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard” never shows, even after clearing my cache, etc. And when I go to the files for the theme (from the install download), there is no Visual Composer file in the plugins folder. Was it not included with the Capri 1.4.1 install file?

The zip file is not included when I download the Capri installation file. Please advise when it will be available again. I need it to continue work on my site and my inability to do so is costing me money. This is frustrating!

We just checked this, and last Capri 1.4.1 zip file that’s available on themeforest includes Visual Composer of course.
Please download the latest theme files from theme forest, and find capri.zip
Extract it somewhere on your pc, and inside extracted capri folder -> plugins -> there must be js_composer.zip , the latest zip file of Visual Composer, so you can install it manually.

2. For every post, in your WP admin -> Posts -> each post -> Select Title, you can set title background image for that post. So you can put featured images for each post there as well.
3. In Posts -> each post -> Select General, you can hide featured image for single post pages. If you want to do it for all items at once, add this in Select Options -> General -> Custom CSS field:

On the pages where you use portfolio list , like for example http://demo.select-themes.com/capri1/gallery-one/ , the featured image of each portfolio item is shown. And it links to single portfolio page, or some external link you set. And on click, you can enable lightbox, where one photo/video will open for each image. But you can’t directly open all the images from each portfolio item from there.
On single portfolio pages, where you add gallery , on click the images from the gallery open in a lightbox.

The portfolio section of my site is a grid of six images (http://www.hoppybunnies.com/portfolio/) – the rollovers show a text link, which is the only active link, not the image box itself. I’m wondering if this is why when I view on mobile, I touch the portfolio images but they don’t link to the pages – it doesn’t bring up a rollover state with the link at all, so there’s no way of reaching the pages.
Is there a way to either deactivate the rollover states, so the whole image is an active link, or to make the current format usable on mobile?

On mobiles, the click is actually hover. So when you click on your images,the hover information will appear, so you can click the link.
We’ve just checked it for your site, and works fine.
Alternatively, you can change this with custom css, so the link is initially visible on mobiles over the image. For it, submit a ticket to https://select.ticksy.com with a link to your site, and our support will write the css.

I just did every step you told me and my Home page continues the same. I cannot edit my images on backend. The only thing I have is a bar with visual composer symbol (witch goes to another page where I can buy it), a “Plus” symbol to elements witch doesn’t work and a templates button.

Just in case it can help someone, it is fix in my theme version, 1.2 (I have to say it is not update).
The problem: Selector is not valid. # is a special char and needs to be escaped like ‘a[href*=\\#]:not([href=\\#])’
