Unfortunately, there is no step by step guide. The best way to get the new Linguini to work is to create a fresh WordPress installation and add/import the content from the old website.

of course, you can create your navigation with WordPress Menus (Appearance > Menus), and you’re able to add submenu up to 3rd level.

Thank you. It was just me being stupid. I was in the back-end working on my menu, but I hadn’t had selected the menu location, therefor none of the changes were made.

Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to write the instructions into documentation. These phrases are plugin based (“forqy-restaurant” plugin), so there is a little bit different way to translate it.
Please follow these instructions:
- Open Poedit
- Navigate to File › New Catalog from POT file …
- Open “wp-content/plugins/forqy-restaurant/languages/forqy-restaurant.pot” file with Poedit
- Save as file named by plugin name “forqy-restaurant” and your language and country code (“forqy-restaurant-language_COUNTRY.po” – “forqy-restaurant-fr_FR.po”, “forqy-restaurant-cs_CZ.po”, “forqy-restaurant-de_DE.po”, etc.) into the “wp-content/languages/plugins/” folder
- Fill in the translations
- Save the catalog

Hello. Thank you for your response. I was able to translate the strings. I have another question, if you don’t mind. I added the fonrtpage call to actions and the text has different lenghts, therefore the cta columns have different heights. I saw that you used flex box, but I couldn’t match the columns heights. Can you give me some help ?

I think that I’ve understood what you mean, but the call to action decorations are not applied through the flexbox, therefore isn’t possible to stretch up the columns. You can try to change the height of the call the action box manually:
.fy-homepage-call-to-action .fy-widget {
height: 400px;
}
... change the height according to your needs.

Hello,
WordPress should send the email when someone makes the reservation – to you and to the person that made the reservation. It seems that you have a problem with settings of your hosting. The theme using the inbuilt WordPress function wp_mail() to send the email that works with standard PHP mail() function.
You will probably need to use any SMTP plugin.

Media is not being imported when I attempt to import content.xml

And checked you an option “Download and import file attachments” when are you importing the content? WordPress Importer plugin is the little bit problematic, so sometimes the media are not imported.

I am doing that, and yes, it downloads one image and then stops. Is there an alternate way to get these images?

I’ve exported a separated files of Linguini content; you can download on http://linguini.forqy.website/linguini-content.zip – and try to import one by one. Also, check the permissions of your “wp-content/uploads” folder, must be writable https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

Permissions are good. The individual content files don’t have media data. The content does import. Can you do a media export and post it?
Oh, sorry, you’re right. I’ve exported only the media, just re-download the package http://linguini.forqy.website/linguini-content.zip
That’s not working either. Are you able to zip just the images? There’s a plugin available that will associate them to the posts.

I see there is a ”.grid-callout-home.posts-no-5 .post { width: 18.4%; }” so why is it when I create 5 callouts only 4 show up? Is there a way to show more than 4? I’m going to dig into the code and play and try and figure it out but hoping to hear back from you.
Solved this manually, now I have 6 call outs 
I fixed the issue with the slider by 1. In /wp-content/themes/linguini/javascripts/jquery.frontend.js 1.1 On LINE 440 you will find something like this: a[href=#]:not([href=#]) (you cannot use notepad++ to search for it) 1.2 Change THIS: a[href=#]:not([href=#]) to THIS: a[href*=”#”]:not([href=”#”]) 1.3 Upload the file again 2. Install following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-google-libraries/ 3. It works again!
Home Page slider not working? Please can anyone assist.
How do we update the theme to latest version?
It indicates there is a 2.1.4 version with the fix for the slider. How do I update the theme to this version?
I was notified of an update for linguini and installed it. Still didn’t work. I used countg’s code above and also didn’t work.
Installed this as a plugin and my sliders are working now. Install directions are under ‘other notes’. https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-google-libraries/I tracked this down through countg’s link. Thanks for the help!!!

I would love to get the homepage slider resolved! Please update if anyone figures it out.
It’s been almost a month since I’ve heard anything from this author. Slider is still not working and there is no update to this theme. Basically is going against the terms of service where the theme is not working. Waiting for the author to respond if not I will contact someone at Envato so the purchased users on here can update and get it fixed.
With the Wordpress 4.5 update the site (most importantly the slides) do not respond correctly. The art is not scaling like it has prior to the update. Please advise. Thanks.
