Hey, I haven’t seen any other reports of it nor can I recreate it on my end. Have you tried toggling it, saving the options and then turning it back on and resaving? Also if you’re using a child theme try disabling it to see if the issue is contained in there

Hi I disabled the child theme and that fixed it – What do you suggest I do?
Do you have a modded header.php file in your child theme? If so your file is most likely outdated and the structure no longer matches the parent theme header.php (which is causing the issue)

The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.

Hi there!
So I’ve been using the theme fine and building my new website. Although a couple of the pages have randomly stopped being responsive to re-size. On the 6MOS page The Nectar Slider full screen header doesn’t adapt or fill the screen when the window is resized (unlike the home page), and all images on the page remain the size they are originally loaded. On mobile this causes the images to remain tall and thin even when the device is turned to landscape position.
This happened randomly, one minute it was working fine, then the next not! The problem is most obvious with the headers (which happen to be videos) but also apparent with other images on the pages. The text seems to respond fine still.

1. The issue seems to be stemming from one of your plugins – try disabling them to find the culprit
2. You can edit the file in search.php – however the transparent nav shouldn’t be triggered on that page. Are you on an up to date version of Salient and have you ruled your child theme out from causing it?

1. Woohoo! Found the culprit – thanks for the advice – I was spending hours fiddling around with different full width settings etc but this has solved it!
2. Currently running 7.0.8. Not sure about the child theme causing it or how to check – the child theme is what I’ve used to customise the site. Currently all other pages are set to transparency when at top but go to solid on scroll so presuming that’s why it’s doing that on the search page too. Any way to override?

One more thing. I’ve created separate portfolio items for each of my video projects. In each portfolio item the video is set to play in a lightbox. However I have come to find out that YouTube videos when ‘autoplayed’ (such as when the lightbox opens the video autoplays) don’t count towards the view count. I need a way for the lightbox to open the video, but not auto play. I understand that the user will have to click once on the lightbox and then again on the ‘play’ button on the YouTube video for it to play, but that is less of an inconvenience than the views not counting. Don’t worry about that last one! I used my genius and went to prettyphoto.js and turned auto play to false and now my views count yaaay I was worried I was gonna have to go into each portfolio item and individually change how the video was shown.
So in regards to the Search results page, I modified search.php and now the title shows in h1, but I’d like it to have a head like all of the other pages, even if it’s just plain black (like the single blog posts), but I can’t figure out how to do that without crashing the whole site. If it has a 300px paralax black header with centred title then there’s no need to worry about the nav being transparent. Cheers

I’m not sure, I installed the version that comes with the theme. The change log says it’s version 4.9.2. Where can I download version 4.11.2?
Nevermind, I’ve found out what’s happening. If we choose to download All Files & Documention, it contains SVC 4.9.2. But when we download Installable WordPress Files only, it comes with version 4.11.2.

Hi, love the theme, but am having an issue with the main page header. So, here are my questions. Page link is http://fairfieldmarket.co/
1. Is there a way to change the off canvas menu on the main page header to black? I would like the header to rotate colors as I scroll and I found that option, but the starting color is white and I cannot find where to change that.
2. Is there a way to always have the header transparent? When I navigate from the home page, I have a black background pop up behind the header along with a header break. I would ideally like to have the header stay transparent throughout the entire site.
3. When I navigate from the homepage (i.e click on vintage faire from the off canvas menu from the home page) the top image is being cut off by the menu. Then when I navigate back to the main page by clicking on the main header logo, the menu divider is still there even though the menu is transparent. Again, I think if the menu would stay transparent the whole this would fix it, but I am unsure how to accomplish this.

It does when I start scrolling. But upon page load, the top navigation is completely transparent. Since it sits on the slider with a bgr image, it’s tricky to get the contrast right in all cases. Is there an opacity overlay I can enable to cover the entire slider image?

1. To get 50% opacity while at the top and override the default transparent header state add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

2. It changes based on what the text color is set to on the given row – if you want it to change to the light version set the text color to “light”
