My visual composer was not working so I update my theme files and reinstalled the VC. I am now noticing the VC is not showing certain functions & do not work (for example TEXT BLOCK)

Are there any errors getting reported in your browser console when editing the text block? Also have you ensured that no third party plugins you may have active are causing the issue? If so please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on

Is there a trick to getting the portfolio display to have the one wide and tall box and four regular sized portfolio boxes next to it? Whenever I try this I always get the large box underneath a line of four small boxes… Looking to have a similar effect to the salient corporate page portfolio display. Thanks!

For everyone who hasn’t seen the announcements,
In regards to WordPress 4.5
The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.

It appears that you have a visual composer separator with text element between the two – are you not seeing that in your page builder?

I cant see it, there is a divider above the gallery but there is no divider under it (at least not in the page builder)
I want to get rid of the gap under the gallery
(UPDATE) Now the gap is between the last two Nectar Sliders (The one with the cool pic of “LAGO” and the blue one that says “Cotiza ahora!”

Change the row type that’s holding the Nectar Slider to be “full width background” – also the object on the demo page you linked is a full width content row with a column that has a link & bg color set

i still can not get the SVG logo to work, i used the trick in the “functions.php” and also i tried the plug-in, works everywhere else but the logo, i am uploading the logo via the Salient header options
please help

Have you tried to add it in the header.php file directly to bypass the WordPress restrictions? You could move the header.php file into a child theme to keep the mod there as well

i was able to properly place the “trick” into the child’s theme function, yeah unfortunately when they give you the trick they asume one is good at php, nonetheless, it works like a charm, my issue was that i was not uploading a retina version, in this case it would be the SVG logo, so i didn’t catch that you always have to have a retina version uploaded as well.

Hello there, I have a question about the accordion toggle. As is, when I open the toggle, the page scrolls and cuts off the title (a class: iw-text-left). When I click to close the accordion, the page scrolls again. I’m not seeing an obvious reason for it.
I found the setting under the theme’s general settings for “One Page Scroll Support” and turned it off, but now I miss the scrolling. It’d be great if it could just land in the right place when it scrolls. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey – unfortunately there’s no option to have the main nav below the slider/header, however you can have a secondary nav in that position like so: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-corporate/about/ This can be accomplished via the “page submenu” element available in the Salient Visual Composer

How can I remove the transparent logo on the homepage, but keep the off canvas navigation (3 lines) and also change the color of the 3 lines. ONLY FOR THE HOME PAGE.

If you display your products in a default grid and not in a carousel it should allow that link to work normally

Hey, I was referring to fixing the clicking issue – in a carousel clicking on the quick view would just open it in the window instead of the lightbox. To fix the layout add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:

Thank you. This seems to have fixed it partly, well at least there’s now a background so there’s that.
