Has there been any more thought about adding the “nearby” widget for the listings pages/posts. This widget would be is just like the “recent listings” except that it would show the nearest 5 (or whatever number) listings to the existing one that the customer is on.
This feature has been on a few other plugins i’ve seen, but since the map and listing data is built into this theme it would have to be done on your side. It definitely would help decrease bounce and increase click-throughs on all sites running your theme and would be a major selling point for others who haven’t bought yet.
Its also simple because it wont require geolocation of the user, it just uses the meta behind the existing listing that the visitor is on.
Would love to see this in a update in the near future.
Yep! great feature and something that is on the roadmap, our roadmap for this theme is pretty large! and we are working through all of those suggestions, we just released 1.5.0 and another major release following pretty shortly after a few bug fix releases.

Hello! I’m planning to buy it but first would like to ask a question: is it possible to somehow show who submitted the listing? Like a username or something. And would it be possible to somehow rate the submitter? Because in my case the listings would be for kind of events/occasions so it is important to see who submitted it and to somehow rate the person.

Answer: You can add the Listing Author Widget on the listing page. This will display the user or company who made the submission.
Question: And would it be possible to somehow rate the submitter?
Answer: There is a review system in place for the submissions post, but there is no rating feature available for users, unfortunately.

I have about 24 different categories and over 500 listings. I’ve seen that a lot of people who’ve purchased the theme are complaining that their sites are slow due to a large # of categories and listings. I’d hate to buy this theme and then have to find another because it takes forever to load. Is this an issue your team is working on already? Or can you provide insights on why some users sites are slow?
Just saw that 1.5.0 is expected to be faster. Any idea when this will be released 2,3,4,5 weeks?

As Adam mentioned version 1.5.0 will be released tomorrow which is our fastest release to date. You will not have any issues loading your content.
It is important to remember that while the theme has been optimized that you are still running a complete web application and a cheap $5/month shared web hosting account a standard blog runs on may not be sufficient for a large traffic content-driven website. This applies to all “WordPress as an Application” solutions though.

Is woocommerce or authorize.net integrated for ad listings/memberships?

The WooCommerce plugin is a required plugin and you can integrate it into the theme. The plugin plays a big role with regards to products, listing packages, users management, and payment processing the theme does. The theme also uses the WP Job Manager plugin to handle a lot of the Listing components.

Just 1 question: I would like the featured image on my homepage (where the main search bar is) to keep changing. It would be nice to have 3 or 4 featured images changing every few seconds. Is there a way to do this? Or a plugin for this?

Answer: Yes, you can use the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin to edit the Fields on a submission page. You can add or remove fields using this plugin.

Answer: By default without the need of any paid plugins you have the option to review listings submitted. Only after you approve them will they be displayed on your website. This is a setting available within the theme : Does the site admin have the option to review listing submissions before they shown on the directory?

Answer: Once approved, the admin will have complete access of all Listings. You can at anytime edit and delete them.

Answer: You can have as many Listings as you wish. The theme is not limited to the number of listings a website has.

Answer: There is no autofill setting available with the theme. Something like this would require custom code to customize the theme.

Answer: In the demo, right now if you select login, you can register using social accounts. Social Login requires a paid plugin, but out of the box, there is a Registration form available.

Answer: If a user registers at the same time they submit a listing, there is no way around the verification. This is due to the fact they also need to set up a password for their account.

Answer: There is a setting within the admin panel that allows you to get users to register before they can submit a listing. They will not be redirected like you are asking, but if a Users clicks Submit a Listing, they will be asked to register with a link to the registration page.

Answer: There currently is no auto-suggest feature for the keyword field. There is one for locations at this time.

The WP Job Manager and WooCommerce plugin are both free plugins that power our Listify theme. A lot of the paid plugins require these free plugins to be installed on the theme! So now to answer your questions.
Question: I can’t leave a review without Job Manager Plugin?
Answer:As mentioned above the WP Job Manager plugin is free!
Question: i can’t put a “Claim Listing” without the Job Manager Plugin ?
Answer: With the WP Job Manager plugin, you can integrate and install the Claim Listing plugin to allow user to claim listings.
Question: i can’t filter the search by tags without the plugin
Answer: Correct, to add the Tags feature you do nee the WP Job Manager – Tags plugin.
Question: i can’t login with social profiles without WooCommerce Social Login
Answer: The free WooCommerce plugin provides you with a login and registration page by default. If you want to add a Social Login feature you would need the WooCommerce Social Login.
Question: i can’t sell listings without WooCommerce Subscription
Answer: All you require is the Paid Listings plugin to Create a Listing Package and sell listings. If you would like to make recurrent monthly income you can use the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin.
Question: The advanced search (category/location)is already in the theme or i have to buy another plugin like FacetWP?
Answer: The Homepage search as displayed in our Listify Demo comes without the need of any paid plugins. If you require additional filters, you can use the FacetWP plugin.

I think there is a bug in the latest version of the theme.
The problem is in the “Preview page” before submitting a listing. It happens on my website, and also in your demo site.
If in your demo web I select the most expensive plan, and then fill all fields (including featured image) and press “Preview”, all is well, I can see the preview of the listing. But if then, instead of continuing to next step, I go again to plans and pricing and select the cheapest plan, if I delete the featured image and go to “preview”, the featured image I uploaded when I filled the most expensive plan still shows as if cached or something.
In your demo page this does not seem a problem since both plans are paid plans and have the “Featured image” field and all the same fields, but in mine, there is a basic plan which is free (no featured image or other fields), and if someone first select a payment plan, fill in all fields and go to the preview page, but instead of continuing goes back to plans and pricing, select the free plan, fill in the basic fields and press preview again …. the fields that should only be visible in the payment plan still shows in the preview of the free plan (as the featured picture, labels, operating hours …).
If i finally submit this free listing, in the administration panel, in that listing, the featured image and other fields that are only for paid listings appear filled.
My support has expired, but this is not a support question, because I think this is clearly a bug, in your theme or in wp-job-manager (that your theme requires to run), so it is a bug that you should solve.

1) Register 2) Select a paid plan and fill in all fields. Press Preview. 3) Then on the preview page, without proceeding to the next step, go to Plans and prices again from the menu and select the basic plan (free) 4) Fill the basic fields (fields, depending on the selected plan are correct) and press “Preview listing.” 5) The fields i filled before for the payment plan are still displayed in the free plan preview (it should not), as if they were cached. 6) If I then submit this free listing, all paid fields are saved in the listing. (can see them filled in Listings-> Edit Listing)
This is a big problem, because if someone detect this error, he/she could submit listings with all paid functionality without paying anything, he just would need to fill the fields of a paid plan, and after preview the listing, go back, select the free/basic plan, and the paid fields remains showing in the preview (of the free listing) as if they where cached, and this information is sent and saved when submitting the free listing. There should be a way to prevent this.

Answer: You can definitely Create a Listing Package for free or for a fee using the Paid Listings plugin.
As for limiting items from the submission field, we recommend using the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin. This plugin will allow you to hide or add fields.

Answer:I am not too sure what exactly you mean with this question but I will take a guess. Please let me know what you were trying to ask if I don’t answer it according to what you ask.
The users will be able to submit a listing using the Submit Listing Form. As mentioned you can alter the form using the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin and once they submit the form the admin can review the submission. This allows you the admin to make changes to the listing before approving or even deleting.

My message on 8 june : Hi team, I’ve updated : all plugins, your theme and wordpress. But since this update, the expiration date of listings doesn’t work with Listify. I used the last version of WP Job Manager – WooCommerce Paid Listings and the last version of your theme.
When a customer add a new listing or if one customer modify their listing the expiration date is : 1 january 1970 The data picker in administration listing do not works too.

We have been using the listing for 8 months now. Our clients keep asking us if there is a way that we can add a widget on the right hand side of there listing that will allow someone to email them a request. We are looking to feature a contact form that will allow a bride to contact the vendor without going into the pop us email window.

Installed new version and my site is totally corrupted, it just hangs on front page. When I do get it to other pages the map icons have disappeared, I can’t do any searches. When I go to customise and save changes it just hangs there. I have restored and tried over and over now. I have setup auto update as well and same problem. I have a child theme which i thought was the problem but even when i choose parent theme it hangs it just ignores my child settings.

Thanks, how difficult will it be to link the accommodation product to listing like with booking product? The problem with booking product is that it is not for nights but for days so when clients choose their days they book 2 days instead of one night.
