Hey again,

I have been testing everything on my site and I think I may have found an issue with the theme.

Once a user uploads a cover photo for the listing and then multiple gallery images, the cover photo keeps changing through the gallery images. It changes each time you view the listing and it also changes on the home page in “recent listings”. This is not meant to happen right? If i am mistaken and it is meant to happen, then why is there a cover photo option if it just keeps changing?

I love the new changes if 1.5.1 but there are a few bugs still. on my website www.theweddingmap.co.nz

1. Company logos are not showing in the correct ratio my circle is ovel and square is rectangle.

2. The verified “Tick” is not showing correctly on homepage or on single listing page

Hey! It sounds like when you upgraded instead of deleting and then uploading the new files, you may have just replaced the files. I find sometimes this results in older files still remaining on the server and then odd things happen such as things not displaying as they should i.e. verified tick not showing correctly.

I just know because I did the same thing.

Try deleting the theme, then uploading the new version, and if your web host has caching enabled ask them to “purge” the cache, same goes for caching plugins.

Bug Report for Listify 1.5.1

As far as I know, this only occurs with latest version of Firefox. I tested latest versions of IE, Safari, and Chrome and all looks good.

If using FacetWp, the dropddown facets styling doesn’t appear correctly on the Homepage and Listings page.

Sorry Adam, just noticed that the dropdown styling is still not right when viewed on the listings page side view. The top view looks good. Again, only notice it on Firefox.

I ask myself if it is possible: when you zoom in the map google map, the list is displayed simultaneously on Results, according to the expanded area or reduced from the map google map?

By default, results display according to what you search. There currently is no setting that will display results as you zoom in the map.

Other factors that determine results on the map include the default number of listings you want to display and the map settings. You can change the number of listing results as described in this article: How Can I Display More Listings on the Map and Search Page?

Another factor is determined by your radius settings, will determine the radius distance for location-based searches. You can view all the map settings here: Map Settings

FYI only, with 6/22 update the Homepage – Hero Overlay Style reverted to gradient display even though was still set as solid in Customizer. (Re-save as gradient then solid changed it back.)

No worries, great if it was an isolated issue with my site. No additional support needed, I fixed it on my site with changing to gradient (since it can’t be saved without some change in the Customizer) than back to solid.

Love the theme! I have a 3rd party listing service. I see that your theme will meet my needs for users to login, select a plan, complete a form, upload photos, and pay. But, I only need this information will only be seen by the user and admin (not actually listed, just submitted). They will also need to be able to view their submissions on their profile. Can this theme support these needs?

You can definitely get users to register and select a free or a premium Listing Package to create their Listing. Listings can be submitted and will not be displayed till the admin approves it. During this time both the Admin and User can view their listings.

If you submit it you can also hide information if needed with the WP Job Manager Visibility .

Unfortunately, it sounds like the upgrade you performed on your site was not applied correctly. 1.5.1 fixes issues that were introduced in version 1.5.0.

Hello

Please visit the WordPress customizer, to make changes to the home page, listing page, or widgetized pages.

You can see here how to edit for example the sidebar of your listing page, you can also edit the main content area with any content you wish to place on the page.

To customize your pages, please visit Appearance ? Customize ? Once the customizer launches, go to the page you wish to customize, for example the Homepage, then visit Widgets ? Homepage ? and you can then start to customize this page using the options available.

I have updated the theme and lost all the look of my site. Even though I didn’t touch my child theme.

Can’t customise the site. The widgets look wrong. All my text has changed.

I have deleted the old one and uploaded the new theme.

You were indeed correct and the customiser now works.

An issue I have found however is that even if there are listings on a page, it says there are 0 listings.

Thank you for the update but 1.5.1 does seem to have a bug whereby the customizer does not load at all or it does but there is only the option “Widget” to change, all the other variables have gone! Have gone back to 1.4.3 till this is resolved.

How can i restrict reviews to logged in users only?

Hey there!

You can simply restrict reviews to logged in users by going to the Admin Panel under Settings > Discussion. Under “Other comment settings”, you should see “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”. Simply check that and it should restrict comments.

Thank you for v1.5.0 release. There has been a lot of talk for quite some time about “Events” being released in an upcoming version for Listify. Is there a ballpark time frame you can share? 1-3 months, 6-9months, etc…

Events! Events! Events! ;) We are focusing on bringing new design options and better speed optimizations right now in the next few releases i.e. 1.6.0 / 1.7.0, But yes Events is on the roadmap which is great for our customers. We are also planning on adding private messaging support in the next Major theme release so that will be quite exciting. Lots of great things to come over the summer.

How and why is it saying job listing, when these are physical places, not jobs.

How can we change this?

Hello, the sidebar on posts no longer shows up after the latest update. It shows up in Customize, but doesn’t appear on the live site.

Go to Customize > Content > Blog Style > Default, Enabled. Blog Sidebar Position: Right. Enabled.

Hi,

Great theme!

Is it possible to have the tag filters in search results apply using AND rather than OR? As you click more boxes, you end up getting more results, i.e. those fitting any tags.

Thanks for coming back to me, I’m not sure I was clear in my question.

If two tags are selected, should it not show results only matching both tags rather than either? As you select more tags, the number os results increases, which isn’t what a user would expect.

Just following up on this. Can the tags be used to narrow down searches rather than expand? i.e. if you select three tags, the results should show results matching all three, all results with at least one matching.

With this the more Tags you select will filter further the results.
