Hi guys, great theme, i have a question, how to add a “hot” label to a product?

Thank you very much for your love with Porto theme. Please go to Theme Options >> Woo commerce >> Single product. scroll down to see ” Show “Hot” Label” . Set it to Yes. it it will display Hot label on the products.

From your Dashboard Please Go to Products >> It will open all your products, Now in the product row click on the empty star it will fill the star and the hot label will appear on that particular product. Actually by clicking on the star you are making the product a featured product and Hot label appear on it. Thanks

One of the best ecommerce themes btw, but I have an issue where I use Gravity Forms Woocommerce addon for price options, you are supposed to set the simple product to a price of 0 and it usually displays the lowest and highest price options, now all my products display FREE because all the prices are set to 0. They should be more like $2.50 – $13.50. Have a thought on that?

But the prices should be getting picked up from the variations in the form like before, or like when you set the product to actually be a variable product. We will go through and manually change all the prices from ‘0’ (gravity forms instructions) to something that but it will not reflect the proper prices in the end but will display a number.
Yeah setting the prices is not the solution, you guys need to tweak the theme to report the variable product in the gravitiy form like before per the Gravity Forms for Woocommerce setup guide. When you configure it properly, per the setup guide, the theme display FREE on all products, when You change it to a number, then the price is incorrect or misleading.
The prices should be coming from the gravity form and for these prices they should read $2.50 – $12.99

We have not tested this plugin yet with our theme and its not possible to guarantee 3rd party plugins for us. Please contact plugin author. This is the best info we can provide at this stage. However the option to show price range is already available in the theme when you create any variable product.

Yes I know the routine, but for one of the best ecommerce themes, you guys should accommodate one of the most important plugins for woocommerce and gravity forms, another hugely used plugin. The fix for me right now is to hide the prices completely. Unfortunately, the way that gravity forms for woocommerce works is that you use a ‘simple product’ set the cost to 0 (zero) and usually (used to) it would just display the variations from the gravity form. You guys should check into this as it is a big issues in my opinion. Fortunately, hiding the price on each and every product is my solution but time consuming.

This is because you have included the title in description too. when you remove it from the description you will see only one. Let me know if this helps you. The h2 is set for the titles of posts. Thanks

Is there a way to add code to the header besides putting the code in the header.php? I don’t want to put the header.php in the child theme, but I have to add code for favicons. I know there is a plugin for header+footer, but is there an easier way? thanks.

ok, I haven’t seen the different favicon sizes. I had created one online and it asked me to put code in the header for the different favicons (apple, android etc.). I will upload the images there in the setttings. thanks.

the documentation seems exhausting, but infact it’s not. When checking the theme options in the documentation, only the screens are shown. You don’t write in the documenation anything about the options and what they are for. Example: Theme Options – General: Loading overlay. What is this? And what does it do? And do I really have to regenerate the CSS file after each change? thanks.

Loading overlay will display a loading circle during the page load. Please read carefully it says “Please regenerate again default css files in Skin > Compile Default CSS after update theme.” This is to do when you update your theme version.

My google maps not working in the contact page. I know that it’s due the new google policy which requires a API key. I tried the API KEY for Google Maps plugin that IngentiThemes has suggested, but it doesnt work as well. Any work around or quick fix to where to enter manually the API key until the update will come out?

Sorry, it’s the default functionality of Woocommerce and you can not change it from theme Options but you can use this plugin for this purpose: https://codecanyon.net/item/visual-attributes-woocommerce-variable-products/7981304I hope it would be helpful for you. But we have not tested this paid plugin yet with our theme and its not possible to guarantee 3rd party plugins for us. So we think that if plugin is coded perfectly it should work with any WooCommerce theme like Porto. You can also confirm from the plugin author. This is the best info we can provide at this stage.

Hi, first of all, very nice theme! Of course it takes some time to configure everything, but I am on a good way. I have installed wpml and woocommerce multilingual. I have set the english homepage as the one with the sidebar (widgets on the left), not the full slider one. I have copied and translated the other languages. However, on the other languages, the widgets on the left are missing. I think it’s the home sidebar with “porto:block” with testimonials and recent posts. Why are they missing in the other languages? Do I have to create them? If yes, how? And where can I change the first widget “porto:block”, there is no text to change in it. However, it displays two ads. thanks

In the shop, when I choose to buy baseball product for example, I have 2 available options: color and size. But when I want to buy the other product, I can’t see the above options. Can you tell me how to add those option to the rest of the product in the shop ?? and how can I customize them ?? thank you

Thank you very much for contacting us. You have to make other product a variable product and include its attributes same as the baseball product. You can see settings of baseball product by editing it and scrolling down to Product data section. You will find all options in tabs there.
