It could be that you update WP core files to version 4.5+ and there is conflict with jQuery. Check please first in Select Options -> Header, do you maybe have some header skin turned on ? Maybe it’s set to light – that means that menu items will be white!

And also – in Pages -> each page, under Select Header panel, check also if maybe Header Skin is turned on.

We didn’t test that plugin with our theme so we cannot confirm compatibility.

You could try first to disable ajax animations in Select options > General > Settings > page transition and there set No animation and save.

After that, try to use your plugin.

Yes, animation_type param for slider could be fade, too. Here is part from our Official Manual: animation_type – this controls the slider transition style. Possible values for this attribute are: slide, fade, slide-vertical-up, slide-vertical-down, slide-cover.
