I am unable to add elements via visual composer, I have the latest version of the theme. I have not installed extra plugins. What is going on?

Chrome inspector says :

composer-view.js?ver=4.7.4:145 Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function

C’mon “Sorry, support for this Envato Market purchase code has expired. You will need to extend support or purchase a new license.” This is a conflict in your theme. I will not pay the cost of a new theme. Please advise

Please make sure you have the latest Nouveau 2.4 version.

If you don’t have that latest theme version – update the theme first :

To update your theme you have to:

1.Download latest theme zip file from ThemeForest

2.Extract it and locate nouveau.zip

3.Extract nouveau.zip and locate nouveau folder

4.Copy/Replace the content of nouveau folder to /wp-content/themes/nouveau folder of your web site.

After you have Nouveau 2.4 , you should update Visual Composer plugin to the latest included version 4.12:

1. Please make sure main theme is activated while performing other steps

2. Go to Plugins page in your WordPress Dashboard, locate Visual Composer in the list, deactivate it and delete it

3. You will see message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard

4. Install the plugin and then activate it

Clear cache after updating. It should be all fine then.

I have found problem about changing theme logo

Firstly, I would like to know whether can I change theme logo via wp-admin. If possible please guide me step by step.

Secondly, I try to change theme logo by access to wp-content folder by replace logo image by my logo(same image & same file pattern) but I found that when viewing source which image path is below

To change logo image, just go to Select options > Header & Footer and there is part for logo, where you could upload your logo images (normal, light, dark, sticky header).

I activate theme for a while, already import demo content and try to testing by my content. I would to know it’s possible to back to re-import demo content or not? If possible please guide me how?

Yes, you could again to the import process. First, you could install WordPress reset plugin to clear all database fields, and than you could again go to Select Import to import our demo content.

Please, note that on this way you will first delete all content you have.

Hello, licence for Slider an Composer was coming with the theme… I have issues now, cant update Slider and Composer… Mainly the Slider is a bit issue because it isnt working anymore… Do I need a theme update or how can I update the Slider and composer??

You should update our theme to latest version that is 2.4, here are instructions https://themeforest.net/item/nouveau-multipurpose-retina-wordpress-theme/7510444/faqs/20986 After that, update VC plugin to version 4.12 This is stable version and those are latest updates. So, just clear the cache and you everything should be working well.

Visual Composer and Layer Slider plugins come included within our theme, no need for any further activation. We bought extended licence for those plugins, to have rights to include it in our themes! We can’t share purchase code with users because of the privacy rules, but we will always update the plugins within theme update. You can ignore messages about activation you see in your WP admin and just use plugins normally.

Thank you for taking interest in our theme.

1) We included social share in our theme and it could be enabled for pages and posts as well.

2) This is content menu and it is adding as type of one row, so you could just remove this element from this page.

I’ve had no success updating the google map. I know that i’m required to use an updated Google Map API and i’ve found plugin to help https://wordpress.org/plugins/api-key-for-google-maps/. Even with an updated API code i’m having no luck with updating Google Maps. Same error each time “This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”

Layer Slider need to be imported separately. You could import it in Layer Slider Options, and choose LayerSlider_Export zip file from xml_folder you downloaded from themeforest main files.

There is lack of space on smaller resolutions and your logo image is too big. Try to fix this with code from below

Nouveau 2.3 with WP Bakery VC (4.11.2.1) don’t work anymore with WP 4.3.5. What should I do, buy a new theme and forget this one because every time a product changes, VC stops working correctly.

My support has expired, I followed all the instructions provided for the update (update the theme in the File Manager, deactivate and delete VC, etc.).

I am thinking now: Nouveau is on 2.3.1. Is this the problem? I can’t see and I can’t download this new version. Basically, are you guys forcing me to renew my support to have the new version?

As indicated, I tried to submit a ticket but my support has expired.

I repeated all steps for installation all over again, making sure to erase the cache, history, etc, even downloading the theme again, but I always see Nouveau version 2.3. I believe this is the problem.

On the other hand, if I have to renew the support for $44.80 for only 6 months, which is almost the price of a new theme, I would prefer buying a new theme that would be more up to the current standards than probably Nouveau is. Obviously, if I would have to buy a new one, it will not be one of yours.

Sorry for being so harsh but when I buy a product I am expecting it to work until either it becomes really old and decrepit or I decide it is about time to retire it. In this case, and correct me if I am wrong, one or more of these three components created a trigger that prevented further usage: WordPress, VC or Nouveau. Since WP (4.5.3) lies above every single theme and plugins and I don’t believe they would make something to make all themes not viable. At its turn, VC (4.11.2.1), didn’t change, as far as I know. We are left with Nouveau 2.3 that is not the last one (2.3.1).

Our standard image element does support alt tags. However, the image element used at your end is modified by the theme author which is causing this issue. You can get in touch with him and get rid of the modifications which are done, to get back the standard element. Kindly check.

On Fri, 17 Jun at 3:54 PM , Hi.. I hope you can help.. I updated my site a while back and thought that all the IMG ALT TAGS on the homepage (where I have been running tests) had been added.. I have checked a few threads here and there and I am sure I am doing it right.. if you check the image ALT TAGS they are in place.. and saved. But when you check the HTML code afterwards or run a SEO survey.. they simply do not exist? Please can you help I really need to sort this out and get them all in place. Many thanks. Hey! I’m interested in buying your theme but I’ve got one question in advance: What happens with the galleries, portfolios etc. if my pictures have another aspect ratio than a square (like 2:1). Will they be displayed as square nevertheless or can I choose a setting where they will be displayed in their normal aspect ratio? If not, can that be individually coded? Greetings, Betty

Hi Betty,

There’s no option for it by default, it’s using squares. But you can change portfolio list thumbnails dimensions in functions.php file of the theme, before starting your work, to define different dimensions, something landscape. Then all the uploaded featured images will use the dimensions you set.
