Hi Themenectar,
Did the new update take care of the “icons in Microsoft Edge issue”? BTW, the new demos look uber hot. Can’t wait to test out the new toys :))
Hey flkay,
Yes – they should work normally now
Cheers
The latest update broke my page at http://jaysportfolio.com/resume/ what should I do?
Hey JayCarver,
For the time being you can either turn off the header resize effect or the header parallax on that page – the fix for this will be out tonight though
Cheers
Hi! re: Nectar Slider
Currently, the Nectar Slider works on mobile, but on desktop versions I get a spinning icon that won’t go away and no sliders appear. Any ideas? I haven’t installed any new plugins or made any changes.
Please help!
Ryan
Hey Ryan!
Please share your URL in regards so I can take a look

Hey, do you have a background image or video set on your first slide?
there was no image associated with the first slide…would that cause an error? I added an image and it seems to work fine now… would it work if the slide with no image was second?
Yes, it should if you move it to the second
I would appreciate seeing a youtube tutorial or run through of the changes.
Is there a way to shrink the header. It takes up too much space on a laptop screen.
Hey palsy1149,
1. They’re coming – should be here in 1-2 days
2. You can control the header size via the header options tab in the Salient options panel. Please share your URL so I can take a look at your settings
Cheers
Masonry blog isn’t working, it has reverted to Standard. Masonry full width is selected in the options panel, as well as in the blog element. And the featured images are showing when the option to hide featured images is unchecked in Salient options and individual blog posts. http://hashtagsebrell.com/blog/ In regards to #2 above, I decreased header padding which helped.
Hey, since this isn’t a known issue could you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a further look? Also when you updated did you do a clean update by removing the old theme before uploading the new? https://themenectar.ticksy.com
I opened a ticket. Yes, I deleted the theme, then reinstalled version 7.5.01
7.5.02 corrected the issue. The problem was the settings were reverting to default after I log out and log back in. Now they’re saving correctly after I restored them.
Hey, glad to hear
After updating to the newest theme my child theme css is not working. It seems that custom css only works in the salient options css area. Is that normal?
I dont mind putting the css there I just prefer it in the child theme css.
Hey humblebear, it’s currently a known issue – the minor update to sort it will be out later tonight
Awesome thank you!
Cheers
Thanks for the update TN!
BTW, I have debug mode turned off. And I still get the error.
Ah, thanks for noting
Let me know if you run into any other issues
Cheers
Hey guys,
In regards to 7.5
If you’re seeing the warning on line 4173 message, please update to 7.5.01 and it will go away – the warning was only thrown by specific PHP versions and only showed up if you had debug mode turned on in your wp-config.
For everyone else updating, please remember to clear your cache after doing so if you’re seeing issues
Cheers
Completely broken my website the new update. Deleted theme and tried to reinstall and now get – Fatal error: Class ‘WPBakeryShortCode_VC_Row’ not found in /home/danbathie/public_html/wp-content/themes/salient/nectar/nectar-vc-addons/nectar-addons.php on line 277. Can’t even access my site at all.
Thanks, solved with updated 5.1.
One other question. When I’m on Safari my Nectar Silder font is a lined version compared to the normal version when viewed in Chrome. How can I make it the normal version in Safari too?
Shown here – http://i65.tinypic.com/25q4umf.pngHey danbathie,
What version of Safari are you using to see that and also are you able to replicate on the demos which use Lovelo?
Cheers
Hi there,
I need to change the width breakpoint at which the mobile menu kicks in from the default of 1000 to 1080. I’ve read previous posts on this subject and saw that you advise to do a search and replace for the string “1000” in the init.js file and the responsive.css file.
I am concerned, though, because it seems as if there are instances of the string “1000” in init.js that are not related to the breakpoint behavior (unless I’m mistaken). One example is:
setTimeout(function(){ $(’#ajax-loading-screen’).addClass(‘hidden’); },1000);
Also, there are several instances of the string “10000” in places that would be changed by a search and replace for “1000”. I assume this would definitely not be desirable.
I suppose it would be easier, if the breakpoint could be set as a variable, or even better, in Salient’s option panel… Is that maybe provided in one of the recent theme updates?
How can I make sure that a search and replace operation will only target the appropriate parts of these files, and do no harm elsewhere?
Thank you, as always, for your help.
Marc.
Hey Marc,
It couldn’t be a mass search and replace – you’d need to go through it unfortunately. I’ve noted your +1 for the idea for the breakpoints to be set in the options panel. If you’re only trying to change it to stop your menu from overflowing, that can be handled easily with css. Let me know if that’s the case and kindly share your URL
Cheers
Hi there. Thanks for your response. The site in question is www.stevefund.org. Please notice how the menu starts moving into unwanted places at 1080 or so, before it switches to the mobile menu at 1000. Thanks again.
Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) {
#header-outer[data-lhe="default"] header#top nav > ul > li > a {
padding-left: 11px;
padding-right: 11px;
font-size: 12px;
}
}
Cheers
Just did. The menu items still pile up underneath the logo in the width range 1090-1000. At thousand the mobile menu kicks in. Thanks again.
FYI, I’ve added the css code below. Seems to have fixed it. #header-outer .row .col.span_3, #header-outer .row .col.span_9 { position:absolute; }
header#top #logo .starting-logo { left: -70px!important; }
Hey, glad to hear you’ve sorted it
Hello,
We are using the Salient theme but it looks like there is a bug on the code, either on Visual Composer plugin or the Template itself.
We want to make a full-width section in the middle of a Portfolio Entry Page. I’m selecting the option ‘full-width background’ in the Row Options. However what happens is that the full-width section starts inside the regular container and then stretches to the right, outside the screen.
You can see the problem here, in the image with the word ‘Testing’ at the bottom of the page. http://w2.wdl.pt/portfolio/testing/
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong but I believe I followed all the instructions.
Thank you for your time. Best regards,
Ana Bernardo, WDL, Design Studio
Hey Ana,
You need to turn on the full width project layout option – that will allow full width sections/content rows to behave normally
Cheers
Hi.
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Unfortunately I had already turned on (Enabled) the “Full Width Portfolio Item Layout” in the Project Configuration Section. It was the first thing I did, otherwise I would have a sidebar. The problem persists. This is happening on the imported content as well, without any Custom CSS at all (I tried). Both on the Portfolio Page and Single Pages as well.
Somewhere in the code there’s a negation of a negative left margin value (I assume it is some commented CSS or contradicting syntax).
The CSS for the Full-width Section shows on the browser inspector as follows:
element.style {
padding: 132.8px 90px;
margin-left: -90px;
visibility: visible;
}
With the margin-left portion crossed over.
This bit is relative to the
I got as far as understanding why it is a negative value, as it contradicts the left-padding of the but I must admit I’m stumped on how to fix it.
You can check what I’m saying here: http://w2.wdl.pt/portfolio/sushi-passion/ The dark/bluish illustration at the bottom of the page was supposed to be a full-width background (I configured this is the Row settings).
I also had already Enabled the ‘Responsive Design’ option in the Salient General Settings in case that might be a factor.
Again thank you for your help, and I hope I helped to make this a bit more clear. Can you please help me?
Best regards. Ana Bernardo, WDL
Hey, you could please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a further look at your setup https://themenectar.ticksy.com ?
Cheers
Hi,
I tried creating a new ticket but it’s complaining about the purchase code date. In fact we bought this theme a while ago (it was meant for a client’s website but they changed their minds before the project almost even started), but we have never used it so far. This is our first time actually installing it because it looked like a good product and we had already invested in it.
Although we installed the most recent version .zip (the one before yesterday) we never actually tried this theme before, and it’s not being a good start unfortunately.
Can you help us with that?
Best regards. Ana Bernardo, WDL
Kindly shoot me an email with the credentials then via my contact form and let me know once you’ve done so https://themeforest.net/user/themenectar
Dear ThemeNectar,
It is done.
Thank you!! AB
Hi ThemeNectar.
Just to let you know that I have updated the theme to the latest version available, in the hopes it would fix things, but the issue persists
Please let me know when get around looking at it.
Best, Ana Bernardo, WDL
Hey, just responded
After uploading the update I got this:
Warning: _() expects exactly 1 parameter, 2 given in /home/site/public_html/xxx/themes/salient/nectar/nectar-vc-addons/nectar-addons.php on line 4173

Hey myuption,
please update to 7.5.01 and it will go away – the warning was only thrown by specific PHP versions and only showed up if you had debug mode turned on in your wp-config.
Line 4173 says:
"value" => array(__("None", "js_composer") => "none", __("Small Depth", "js_composer") => "small_depth", __("Medium Depth", "js_composer") => "medium_depth", _("Large Depth", "js_composer") => "large_depth"),
It seems to be missing a character ”_”, I changed it to:
"value" => array(__("None", "js_composer") => "none", __("Small Depth", "js_composer") => "small_depth", __("Medium Depth", "js_composer") => "medium_depth", __("Large Depth", "js_composer") => "large_depth"),
And now the error is gone, please confirm
Yes – it was a typo and missed because my PHP version didn’t throw the warning – it’s sorted now in the current release
Cool, thanks!
Cheers
I am getting the same error message after updating to 7.5 as rzzo, yunussb, alliter, and dcmmarvin!

Just doing my job
Cheers!

Thanks a lot yepyeh!
You guys are really annoying. Everytime a new update comes out it makes my website look old and flabby. Geez.
On a more serious note, amazing work! Keep it up
Really glad you’re digging it!
Changelog not updated for 7.5
Hey cubewebsolutions, it was – you just may need to clear your cache
Sometimes while navigating through the site, the menu disappears.
http://imgur.com/a/8Dnbz—> http://www.solistone.com/product/granite/It doesn’t happen all the time (nor does it happen on every page or certain pages) but often enough to be an issue.
Hey daviduyan,
Could you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on
