For sure, you can insert any video you have, they also take Youtube and Vimeo videos, or you can simply set an image with parallax directions (up/down/left/right) along with the speed of parallax, or just a color.

It looks like correct behavior to me, if you have to assign a default sidebar you have to set it globally right? However in case you do not want that you can always assign a different sidebar to each post using Fusion Options when you are creating that post, it just does not feel right to assign a default sidebar to all posts because some people need different sidebars for each post and some do not want a sidebar with some posts and want it with some. It differs with the customers choice so we kept it as easily doable as possible

That might work for some people, but it doesn’t work well for me and I’m sure others would agree. I would like to email my posts using Postie, but there is no way to set a sidebar through the email. So, currently, I can either a) have EVERY SINGLE post on my site have the exact same sidebar, or b) send my email through Postie and then go in manually to add the sidebar. It would make way more sense to have any post that’s created automatically have a certain sidebar, and then go manually go into just the posts/pages that you want to have a different sidebar.

I’m sure it could be fairly simple to have Avada have a default sidebar that is then overridden if the specific post’s options are changed. If this option could be implemented in an upcoming release, I think people would really appreciate it.

Yes we are in agreement with you and this is on our dev list to try and work out. Hhowever this is extremely difficult to implement. How would we know which posts you would automatically want a different sidebar set on? That is the issue. There would still be some form of manual editing.

We’ve thought about listing out all posts and having a quick sidebar selection option next to it, but again that is manual and very much the same as we have.

We’ve also thought about and are certainly going to be allowing users to save a custom set of fusion page options. so if one specific post has unie settings, you can save those settings as a group, then easily apply them to any page or post in the Fusion Page Options box … but again, that is still a manual change.

The difficult part is doing it “automatically” without user interaction. The current system we have is the best out there, but doing something automatically makes it hard to do because we’d have to know which posts you’d want it to be applied to.

Nevertheless, it is on our list and our dev team will try every avenue we can to get it worked out if possible. Right now what we suggest is while making the post, simply setting the sidebar on it while making it, which just invovles one extra click under sidebar tab, then selecting the custom sidebar to override theme options. Past posts that are already made is the difficult part.

Hi, I tried to paste this in the custom css area but nothing is happening. What am I doing wrong here?

You can add custom icons through theme options, that will show up throughout the site. They will not show in the “share this post” box at the end of each blog post, but you could manually insert it at the end.

Just go to this section in theme options and choose “custom” for the icon at the end of the list, you can then upload one: http://d.pr/i/1dHZI

We do offer a skype icon, but not for sharing posts, only certain social sites will take sharing posts (which is from their own API)

I asked this about Envato and here’s what they said:

“All of the licenses on the Envato Market sites are for a single use. If you wanted to use the item you’ve purchased on multiple sites, then one or both of the following situations may apply:

1.If you are going to use the item on one domain, or multiple subdomains, you will only require one License. For example:

www.domain.com/siteOne siteTwo.domain.com/ site.Three.domain.com/

2.However, if you are going to use the item on multiple domains, then you will need to purchase a License for each domain. For example:

www.domain-siteOne.com/ www.domain-site.two.com/ www.site-three-domain.com/”

Hmm the part they seem to have left our in #1 is that if using it on multiple sub domains, it depends on the content on each one.

If each sub domain is different content, then we’ve been told by many times by them that it will require separate licenses. If not you could buy it once, and create hundreds of different sites, so it is the content that matters.

Maybe ask for further clarification? But that is what we’ve been going on for years now.

Yes there is indeed an option to enable the comments on pages in Avada, please go to Theme Option > Extras > Misc Tab and make sure that its enabled from there please.
