I’m trying to modify text color in text boxes but its not possible there is only options to resize and edit text but not to modify text color, any help on how to do that?
I also cant find the hundreds of icons you mention, and the unlimited colors… any help

1. Make sure you have the toolbar shown to allow editing of the text colors
2. In the nectar shortcode generator there’s a shortcode for “icon”

Which function can I use to create a special effect for a text so that once I hover the details appear… Not in a sense of a menu (I know that option in the theme). But rather when hover—> new text appears instead of the original text

1. Could you reference the theme demo and page you’re trying to copy the element of so I can assist? Salient offers many different elements that could display text on hover e.g. Flip box, Image Gallery, Portfolio etc.
2. You can add google analytics code in the Salient options panel > css/script related tab
the theme demo im using is Agency. and the page is (http://disrupt-0815.com/about-us/) yellow middle section of services, wanted to share just titles and details comes when hoevered.
Is there a tutorial or more details somewhere regarding the code and how to do it

another question, on the agency demo menu, there are comments under each page, how can I add that, at the moment I cant find it in appearance option.
how do you add an effect to videos so that they appear as if in the background (transparency effect)
Can anyone help! Do I really need to wait 24 hours or 48 hours to get a bare bone answer which doesnt explain anything. You say full video support and your videos are very limited so as your manual!
How can you create a full background video like here (http://matchstic.com/) ... currently it is possible in the page header section (Agency Demo) however it is not possible to have just one page! also if you just put the video in the header and erase all other elements there is still a white gap at the bottom. Secondly there is still an arrow pointing doing! is there a way to do this without page header !!!! info please

24 hours is the normal expected wait time for support – I didn’t see your comments on here that quickly because every time you post a new comment before I get a chance to read it, it unintentionally gets pushed to the end of the queue. Envato sorts comments by ones that haven’t had activity in the longest first and the most recent last
1. As stated previously the only way to show different content on hover would be with the elements I listed above. All are available in VC – if you’re trying to show an image on hover you’d need to use the flipbox element.
2. You need to enable the description metabox in your appearance > menus section http://imgur.com/a/8kkpn
3. Background videos are supported in Salient Visual Composer rows and in the Nectar Slider. When editing any Visual Composer row there is a checkbox to “Enable Video Background?” This creates inputs for you to supply your video file. The youtube video doesnt show how to add video.. I know the steps and I only shows the video as an image. ! can you advice!
It only shows a still image when I select the enable video, tried it 100 times

On the nectar slider it work but on the page builder the enable background video doesnt work! I know that the provide in depth details, but those steps when you do them in practice it is not working !!!!

I am trying to enable VC for a custom post type through the Role Manager. But every time I set the specific CPT and hit save, then reload the page (or go to another page, then back to the Role Manager), the setting hasn’t been saved.
Everything is up-to-date (WP 4.6, Salient 7.5.02, VC 4.12).

I am (was) using ‘CPT UI’ but after reading your reply, I thought I’d try with ‘Toolset Types’ and a completely new post type. That worked fine, so I guess there’s a problem with the ‘CPT UI’ plugin?

Hello again. Just a quick note to let you know I can’t use Toolset Types anyway, as it appears there is a conflict with Font Awesome, causing all my icons to disappear from the frontend when activating the plugin.
It is the same issue I wrote about in this thread regarding the Toolset Views plugin.
Could you have a look at it. See if your icons work, when activation Toolset Types?

I have one quick question about the Cascading Images. Is it possible to add an animation delay to the layers? I noticed that they pop in almost immediately and I think users may miss the animation altogether. Would be great if we could add a delay like we do to the image modules, for example.

It looks like the latest update to CF7 changed the default starter form to wrap the elements in labels. To fix this for now make sure the inputs are not wrapped. Here’s how it should look: http://imgur.com/a/q2JKk

I updated Salient Theme to the newest update you have released Version: 7.5.02 and also updated to WP 4.6 but now Visual Composer is saying it needs an update to version 4.12 and it refuses to allow me to update it 
The issue is I am now unable to see the Page Builder tab to edit my page or add any rows, etc. I can see classic however.

You need to have you tried to delete your version of Salient VC from your plugins list and reinstall from the Appearance > install plugins section in your admin panel?

I would like to change the ‘Salient’ name in the admin panel to a clients name and have seen you offer responses to others along the lines of:

As well as changing the theme name in the child themes CSS file.
All of this is fine and straight forward.
Questions:
1) If I do this what happens when I update the theme? Will the change be lost?
- If I need to put the changed options-init.php file into the child theme, where should it go? Do I just drop the file loose in the child theme or do I need to structure the folders correctly?
2) When I change the name in the child themes css file, the css (blue strip across the top of the theme options panel as well as the darker blue on the left hand side, item positioning etc) for the theme options panel is missing and it defaults. How can I prevent this from happening to keep the styles? Or do I then need to style the options panel myself?

I’m trying to adjust the size of my h3 toggles. Manually changing these in the typography section is having little effect. And, I have tried using the css above as a form of fix:
.toggle h3 a { font-family: Lovelo,sans-serif; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 2px; font-size: 20px; }
Also not working. Do you have any suggestions, it;s worth noting the accordian is designed for mobile devices so I don’t know if it is extracting information from else in forcing the toggle headers to stay a certain size.

All other factors… such align DO have an impact. Just the size won’t adjust, almost as if something elsewhere is overriding it

I have adjusted the size in typography options… but doesn’t make the necessary changes… I assume it is the h3 settings I should be adjusting? Or is it another?
I have tried the custom css settings again too and still no change to the size.

Hi! Thank you for nice theme. I’m testing full screen rows. I have trouble to make contents vertically middle. When two contents side by side in the full screen row, the short one is aligned to top of the longer one. plz check mine. Hi, just tried out the new full screen rows effect, which is really nice – but has a few bugs when used with a fullscreen nectar slider as first row/section. The bugs are:
When using “Default Scroll” on the “Animation Between Rows” setting, the bg image on the nectar slider is stretched to the full page, which results in only showing the top 1/5 part of the image (when using 5 rows/sections). This forces me to use one of the other 2 options: “Zoom Out + Parallax” or “Parallax”, which have another bug: When pressing the arrow pointing down on the nectar slider it does not correctly transition to the next row/section, but instead does nothing.
Please help/fix!

On the Product-Landing theme I’m experiencing bugs when trying to upload self-hosted videos in a portfolio. When I click on ‘watch video’ the video appears but doesn’t play unless i clicked it, and there are no play control options, no play button, no time slider, no play full-screen etc, just a black screen. Suggestions?
Also, when attempting to use the Regular with-tilt button style on the Service theme, it messes up all other elements on the page, come disappear completely and others get moved into random places.

Also, if I click on ‘more info’ on the video instead of ‘watch video’, then the next view shows the video with the play controls, but when i select full screen the video is to the left of the screen, not centered.

One other problem I’m having is that no matter what I try, I can’t get an image with hotspots to be centered on a page.
Okay I finally figured out how to make the image centered, but the hotspots aren’t located where I have placed them on the preview. I’m guessing that’s a bug too?

1. Are you referring to the font weight? If so, in the typography options tab in the Salient options panel there’s a dropdown for weight for every section
2. In the header.php file you’d need to add the HTML, could you let me know where you’re trying to move the icons to so I can assist? If you could provide a mockup image that would make things easier
3. In the Salient options panel > header navigation tab you can define your logo height and the header padding – those two options dictate how tall your header will be

I try to remove G+ icon from the header. At social media tab it says “Enter in your social media locations here and then activate which ones you would like to display in your footer options & header options tabs.”
I did find footer options, but can’t find header options. Where are they? Thanks!
