Is it possible to get the Nectar Slider to show the full height and width of an image? The slider is constantly covering about 30 pixels at the top and approximately 50 at the bottom. I can’t cleanly show all my content.
For example, if I set my slider for 685 px height, about 80 of that gets covered up. So, realistically, it is only displaying about 605 pix OF the 685 height.

You can either turn off your header resize on scroll effect or use this css in the custom css box of the Salient options panel to remove the top space getting cut off:
.parallax_slider_outer.first-section {
margin-top: 0!important;
}
You also need to turn on the flexible height option

Dear team,
1) I need to have this feature in my Nectar slides that whenever someone clicks the slide on desktop or cell phone it initiates a phone call. I checked under slide edit but could not make it happen.
2) Isn’t there an automatic detection of phone number in the theme?
3) Also for example if in a button on the slide in Nectar Slider it says “click here to call xxx-xxx-xxxx” that also initiate a phone call on both desktop and cell phone.

Instead of using a nectar slider button input, you’d need to manually code the link in the caption field with this:

You can choose the full slide link option in the slide edit screen for the link type – however then you would need to edit the functions.php file at this section:

Video background not working with MS Edge browser. I looked at other comments to look for a solution. The demo at http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-agency/ also doesnt show the video background on Edge. I ran through everything I could to reset the browser to default settings but it doesn’t seem to work. MS supposedly supports WebM with VP9 encoding but they must have done something to mess with it…

Hello, I am currently updating the theme to the latest version. When I do this I lose all of the previous settings. Not the custom css settings but all of the salient theme settings. I also lose everything that was on my pages. All of the page layouts that I had are gone.
I updated Visual Composer which helped a little bit but now everything is super jumbled

Hi guys,
Just a quick that i’ve noticed that I hope there is a fix for!
It seems to work on your demos so I’m sure it will be no problem. When minimizing the window and then maximising… the background of the rows doesn’t quite respond to the the full width of the browser.
As an example a solid colour will not readjust itself full width and end being cut to the size of the previous window size.

What does “MissingKeyMapError” mean? I have tried to use the Contact Template of the Theme and I have tried to include a map, using the builder. No map appears, only the error. Any help is appreciated.

If you’re on a current version of Salient you can add your API key into the options panel in the general settings > css/script related tab

I use 7.0.9 and I can not see where to paste that api code.
The only version that includes it is the current (7.5+)
OK, I updated and the map was showing up. I tried FF first, then I noticed that on page refresh, the map is not visible anymore. So I tried Chrome and the map does not show up at all. How can this become so complicated? Google maps used to be a nobrainer. Any idea?
When supplying a correct API key there’s no such known issue. In regards to it becoming more complicated – unfortunately the fact that an API key is now needed is not Salient specific, you can’t use a Google map anywhere without an API now. Please share your URL in regards so I can see what’s causing your issue

New fullscreen page rows are broken on my site. I tried downloading demo content and it was still broken, so I don’t know any options left. The content isn’t centered in the middle and the button is weirdly shaped in the first row. Second rowand on is just blank. Url: http://fit-menu.com/home-2/
Hey vincentpontbriand, are you sure you did a clean update by deleting the old theme prior to uploading the current version? It looks like you’re using a CDN, make sure the clear the cache as well as it appears some of your files are not fully up to date

I have a question regarding some of the new demos. How do you get images to animate independently on top of one another? For example the “salient-app” demo shows an app screen offset but on top of another app screen.

I’m trying to modify text color in text boxes but its not possible there is only options to resize and edit text but not to modify text color, any help on how to do that?

2. In the nectar shortcode generator there’s a shortcode for “icon”

Which function can I use to create a special effect for a text so that once I hover the details appear… Not in a sense of a menu (I know that option in the theme). But rather when hover—> new text appears instead of the original text

1. Could you reference the theme demo and page you’re trying to copy the element of so I can assist? Salient offers many different elements that could display text on hover e.g. Flip box, Image Gallery, Portfolio etc.
2. You can add google analytics code in the Salient options panel > css/script related tab

24 hours is the normal expected wait time for support – I didn’t see your comments on here that quickly because every time you post a new comment before I get a chance to read it, it unintentionally gets pushed to the end of the queue. Envato sorts comments by ones that haven’t had activity in the longest first and the most recent last
1. As stated previously the only way to show different content on hover would be with the elements I listed above. All are available in VC – if you’re trying to show an image on hover you’d need to use the flipbox element.
2. You need to enable the description metabox in your appearance > menus section http://imgur.com/a/8kkpn
3. Background videos are supported in Salient Visual Composer rows and in the Nectar Slider. When editing any Visual Composer row there is a checkbox to “Enable Video Background?” This creates inputs for you to supply your video file. I am trying to enable VC for a custom post type through the Role Manager. But every time I set the specific CPT and hit save, then reload the page (or go to another page, then back to the Role Manager), the setting hasn’t been saved.
Everything is up-to-date (WP 4.6, Salient 7.5.02, VC 4.12).

I am (was) using ‘CPT UI’ but after reading your reply, I thought I’d try with ‘Toolset Types’ and a completely new post type. That worked fine, so I guess there’s a problem with the ‘CPT UI’ plugin?

Hello again. Just a quick note to let you know I can’t use Toolset Types anyway, as it appears there is a conflict with Font Awesome, causing all my icons to disappear from the frontend when activating the plugin.
It is the same issue I wrote about in this thread regarding the Toolset Views plugin.
Could you have a look at it. See if your icons work, when activation Toolset Types?

I have one quick question about the Cascading Images. Is it possible to add an animation delay to the layers? I noticed that they pop in almost immediately and I think users may miss the animation altogether. Would be great if we could add a delay like we do to the image modules, for example.
