New version of Avada is already in RC versions and will be out soon, however there is no exact ETA available right now that we can provide to our customers, it is a major release and requires lots of beta testing but it will be out sooner than you thought

Hello, I am enquiring about multisite – we would like a setup whereby we have some global control over multisite for example if we change a theme setting like layout we could apply the change to multiple sites. Do you think this is a feature you would add or how much would you charge for a custom development this kind?

Is there any ‘real’ launch date yet for 5.0? I have client sites to build but don’t want to use another theme (using Visual Composer) if this launch is imminent.
The fact that your builder has been ‘proprietary’ (until 5.0) has been the ONLY thing that has stopped me adopting Avada as our ‘theme of choice’, but a standalone composer will ‘swing it’ for me.

Right now we do not have a proper date but it is coming out real soon, sooner than you thought as its in final process of Beta testing, since its a major release we need to make sure everything is tested properly hence the delay

Did you just wipe out the theme options and css from installs that didn’t verify purchase? I have two clients who purchased this but never got an API key who’s sites were affected. Can the info be retrieved? This is very bad if you in fact did that.

What you’re insinuating is not possible. All of your data, including your theme options and CSS is stored in the database on your server, not ours. We don’t have access to it and have absolutely no reason to remove it. Registering the theme is not a requirement, it’s only recommended if you wish to receive automatic updates from WordPress.
I would recommend getting in touch with your web host and ask them to take a look at this for you. If possible, they may be able to restore a backup of your database from before those settings were removed.

Apologies. Thought it might have been an automatic theme update. I’ll check with host. It’s very odd that the theme options/settings were the only thing that were reset. All other content remained intact. Thanks again.

Hi… My Client’s Website is using Avada 3.8.6.1
The home page has a Youtube video that was working when the site was created several months ago. NOW THE YOUTUBE VIDEO DOES NOT SHOW UP ONLINE EVEN THOUGH IT IS SETUP ON THE BACKEND.

There is an error in the console of your site caused by using an old version of Avada with a new version of WordPress. To resolve this issue, you will need to update to at least Avada 3.9.4. As the latest version is Avada 4.0.3, I would recommend updating directly to the latest version. You can find all the steps on how to update in this article:

I imported all pages to learn how to use Avada as a blog. Unless I’m mistaken, all the sample blog posts are STANDARD FORMAT. Is there anywhere to view the other types of posts (F.I. Gallery, Link, Image, Quote, Video, Audio & Chat) so that I can examine them and begin to understand how to use them? It would be wonderful to see an example of each type. Is that possible? Thx!

We currently don’t use the different post formats extensively (it does control some of the post icons). However, since our page builder is available on regular posts, it’s quite straight forward to create different layouts for your different post formats.
I can see how this would be useful though. If this is something you would like to see added to Avada to the future, please email your suggestion through to support@theme-fusion.com with “Avada Suggestion” in the title so that it can be reviewed by our development team.

After posting my question I went back and looked at these post formats. And this is the first time I’ve ever been completely baffled by what “something” does” or what it’s purpose is—when using Avada. Don’t get me wrong – I love Avada and think it is super intuitive and easy to use. But I cannot, for the life of me, understand what that list does or what it’s function is.
When I hilight all - OR - just a section of a post – then click on one of the formats, nothing changes when I preview it.
I hear you – you are saying – “just use the page builder.”
But how can I find out “what” these options do?
Looking over all your tutorials – I noticed there wasn’t one (or did I miss it?) specifically about using the Blog features. Would there be any videos covering this? Many thanks!

As Ryan mentioned, we don’t currently use the formats a lot as only one of our blog layout uses it which you can see here : http://avada.theme-fusion.com/medium-alternate-right-sidebar/

Checkout the icons in on the left bottom of the featured image just below the date box, they will be changed depending on which format you are selecting like you see a video icon for the video format.
However we do have multiple layouts for blog and you can read all about our blog layouts and blog shortcode in this documentation below.

Does this theme have an element where i can display an image which when the mouse is hovered over, some test appears over the image (not below or above) which is then clickable? Also, do you know which plugins are not compatible with avada? Also, will visual composer be compatible with Avada 5.0?

You can present videos on a page for sure, it all depends on what exactly you want, but you can insert Youtube or Vimeo videos anywhere (like in Grid format), and self hosted videos in sliders or full width container backgrounds.
