Just a note – visual composer wasn’t working, and I saw a few people post about it here and the support. There’s a hidden update – be sure to update it in the plugin menu, and it works great afterwards.

Edit: Ok this only happens when applying parallax effect. How can I have the standard display with paralax effect? (Adding parallax changes the layout)

You would need to add in image tags of the custom icons you have – if you also want them to display next to other Salient included social icons you’d actually need to modify the “nectar_header_social_icons” function in the functions.php
Hi, trying to display a different home page for different devices and different views (i.e portrait vs landscape) using the new Fullscreen Rows. I have two Nectar sliders on the page and added a class to each row that contains the sliders such as “mobile-only” and “desktop-only” and then added custom css (by setting @media only screen and (min-widths) This works perfectly when not using Fullscreen Rows, but as soon as I turn Fullscreen Rows ON each row creates a Navigation dot and I get a blank page in the different viewports. Any way to “hide” rows via CSS so I don’t get the navigation dot and blank page when they are not suppose to display?

Hello. On iPad, when I scroll the page… There is a temporary (very quick) loading as the page scrolls. The new content flashes white for a split second and then loads normally. Like its some sort of lazy load. Any idea how to fix

1. The code I provided to stop the image from growing and clipping forces the image to show without clipping, however since your content height grows on mobile and the width reduces, this outcome is a lot of blank space. A way to make it look better would be to change your row BG color to be the same grey as in your picture
2. The current Salient VC does indeed allow you to define the column number on mobile devices, which version are you using? http://imgur.com/a/EoiuA
3. As of now you can’t have tabs links to pages instead of showing the tabbed content, that would require custom coding

As for answes above thank you so much so I decide to change layout, all is ok now with table when I add it as html code, only things is that for some reason background is white althought I put code that all backround on web is grey. Do you have the Automatic Post Excerpts option turned off in the Salient options panel > blog settings and are you using a blog format that would be capable of showing the full content? (the meta overlaid masonry can not)

Hello I love this theme so much but I just has two questions. How can I add dividers to my mobile navigation menu? Right now there is no separation and the navigation buttons are too close together. Hey, something (possibly a plugin) is adding a paragraph tag to the menu which shouldn’t be there. If you add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options pane it will remove it though

It’ a great theme, very versatile and complete ! But ofc i’m struggling with some of the settings… I’m currently setting a portfolio with multiples projects categories, and would like to optimise it for SEO. Currently all portfolios categories share the same url rewrite including by default “portfolio” [ http://www.my_site.com/portfolio/project_name ] (Portfolio slug can be changed via the salient’s settings but only globally).
Is there a way to automatically have the project category slug to be included for the portfolio page and projects url?. (I tried to add some category , project-category and project-type with no luck…)
So, to have something like this : http://www.my_site.com/Project_category_1/project_name http://www.my_site.com/Project_category_2/project_name2 etc… Would be awesome for SEO accuracyThanks !

Make sure you’re using Salient 7.5+ and Salient Visual Composer 4.12, those are the only versions compatible with WordPress 4.5+

Hi—when I click on the 2nd page pagination of my blog it takes a long time to load and ultimately goes to a blank page. This seems to happen also when clicking the “next page” arrow when going from the first page of the blog. If I take pagination away it simply does not load all of my blog posts.

Can you verify that none of your posts on page two contain another blog element inside them? If they do, adding a manual except will stop it from getting called in the default excerpt section (which creates an infinite loop) and result in the issue you’re having

Nope, no blog element in any of them. And page 3 works fine the same as page 1 but page 2 seems to have this issue. Have you experienced this issue before?
