Hello, I want to tell you one thing. Changing colors are very hard in my opinion. Very difficult to find where to change for only one specific part. Can u please provide a feature like one click skin generator. If we touch, usually we mess up the color combinations. Because it is so detailed. In skin tab, there are maybe almost thousand different settings. Very difficult to play around.
Please give us a bit easier solution. Thank you very much

Sorry for the trouble you are facing, But all the color options are under Theme Options >> Skin. and you can easily set them as you need. Sorry Porto do not have any feature like one click skin Generator.

Hi, in the theme options under Skin there is the Minify CSS activated. What if I use W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare. Should I deactivate it in the theme options? Or deactivate it in W3TC ?

Why is there no WYSIWYG/Visual Editor for the Category Page description?? It won’t even accept html tags. I had to install the enhanced categories plugin to be able to format the category description, but then I don’t have any theme options for the category page when I use “enhanced edit”. Seems like a huge miss.

Sorry Porto do not have any option like this and We have not tested this plugin yet with our theme and its not possible to guarantee 3rd party plugins for us. But we think that if plugin is coded perfectly it should work with any WooCommerce theme. You can also confirm from the plugin author. This is the best info we can provide at this stage. Yeah, I get that. I just wish you included a visual editor capability for the category description. Put that on your feature request list. Compatibility with Visual Composer would be good also (for the category page). Thanks.

I don’t understand the porto options “Wrap as Container” and “Is Section”. I can’t find anything related to them in the documentation. Can you please explain how to use and configure them and let me know how are they useful?. Actually, wrap container means to show the specific row in the container on the page while you have selected the full-width layout for your whole page. And IS Section means that you can apply the specific color or style to the specific row/section on the page. When you selected the row as Is Section and you applied the BG color red then it will only appear on that particular section, not on the whole page.

Besides the fact that your documentation (http://newsmartwave.net/wordpress/porto/documentation/) seems exhausting, it is indeed not. You only copy the options there and there is no real explanation of the settings. Most pages are only copies of the settings page and not even clickable to find out more. Further more, a search is missing!!

We have tried our best to explain all the features and options in the documentation. I think there is no need to add the search feature in the documentation because our documentation has the open wide menu where we have added the menu option wise. For example, if you need to install the theme you can go to installation menu if you need to update the theme and plugin you should click on the update menu if you need shortcodes you should click the shortcode menu means everything is openly defined in the documentation.

Don’t get me wrong, I like your theme and your support is good. BUT.. I have already bought quite some themes and I have seen many documentations. There are documentations with videos, with examples etc. Your documentation is really more or less only a screenshot of the theme options. I think 1 or 2 persons of your team should take 2 days to modify the documentation. The documentation is the most important part of the theme. Each theme is different and has different tweaks and options. It’s not like a Microsoft program, when you know Word you also know Excel. Themes have much more options.
However, you are right that your support is quite good.
The documentation “problem” was only a suggestion.

After deactivating and then activating again all plugins some things are missing on my site, such as the blocks, some widgets in the footer (address etc.) and the social icons under the footer (next to the logo). Also, the address is different now, showing the title in the same line as the address and not above. How can this be?? I check both redux-option files (the current one and a saved one of some days ago) and both are the same! I already left a ticket on your support, but maybe you can respond faster here. In the ticket, you said that WPML support staff deactivated your all plugins and activated again, so it means you have lost the data during this period right? Sometimes it happens when your server did not respond properly and the plugins configuration and all data saved by plugins was deleted. If you have taken the backup of your site then please restore it otherwise you will have to set the widgets and the other options again. It is not the theme issue.
Please go to the Theme Options >> Skin >> Click the Save Changes button and then compile the default CSS and Default plugin CSS files. I hope you will get back your data you have saved in the Theme Options.

Well, you have replied to my ticket, yes, but only saying “what exactly is your problem” and I wrote it again. The main problem was missing data in the widgets and I think this is a theme problem. It’s not settings, it’s not a plugin. The widgets (footers and home page widgets) lacked the things that have been before, such as the contact address and blocks. It’s strange that these have gone. STILL the social icons below the footer are missing. HOW can I enable these? I have enabled to show social icons, but they are only at the top, not at the bottom.

I uploaded a new version of your theme and I couldn’t find the slideshow-page.php last time I removed all the code within that page and it got rid of the feature image. but now I can’t find that slideshow-page.

Is there a way to access a porto sort item using a url? I have different products in a sort filter on a products page and would like users to click on a button on the home page which will take them to that particular product on the sort filter
On the homepage, you can use the Go Button VC element in which you can define the specific URL.

There is no option in the theme but you can add the year as well from PHP files. Please go to wp-content/themes/porto/inc/functions/post.php edit this file go to line number 226 or find the “porto_post_date” and add this code in the php tag : <?php echo get_the_time('Y', get_the_ID()); ?>

If you want to add the post.php file in the child theme then you should create the same directory as the parent theme. You should create wp-content/themes/porto-child/inc/functions/post.php
