Hey tmanschap, a search bar is included in the non sticky mobile header version as seen here: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/ if you turn off your sticky header in the Salient options panel you will get that as well 
Hey there, quick question, is there any way to have the logo image change after you scroll down and header shrinks? I see in settings where you can make the same logo smaller, but that’s it. Is there a snippet I can add in the code to have the image change upon scroll? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

this would only be possible without custom development if you used the transparent header option. Since that will allow the dark logo to be used which you could use as a different variation

Original problem: Loaded the service demo and everything worked perfectly until I tried it on my phone—most of the center-aligned text is strangely aligned and padded towards the right. I searched everywhere I could but found no alignment or padding settings that could be causing it. Finally realized that it’s somehow dependent on the contents of the textbox. One text string is displayed perfectly centered on mobile, but if I duplicate the fullwidth column, keep it in the same fullscreen row, and change the text to a slightly longer string with a longer word it’s displayed slightly padded to the right. I could probably fix this by making the text smaller but I like it how it is.. just centered

the current version of Salient (7.5+) now has a field in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab for adding in your API key. Once you provide an API key for google maps it will load.
If you’re already providing an API key, please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on themenectar.ticksy.com/

I wanna report a bug. Can you please provide a fix for it? Ok when you put the animated icons in the tabs. For example take this theme. http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-corporate/
... and put the icons from “Stunning Looks & Functionality” section to the Tab one. “Page Builder” then switch to view the other tabs. “Imagine”, “Statistics” then go back to the “Page Builder” again where the icons are. The icons will not show anymore. Because of the animation effect they will not load again.
Can you please provide a fix for it? So when the tabs are switched the animation reloads?

HI, you provide great support buddy! Thanks… I have tested it without animation and it still like that. It does not work when you put it inside the tabs. The text shows but the icons get lost when you switch the tabs. I’d be happy to record a video and explain my setup if you wanna give me an email or google drive address.

Another question… I am using the new Fullscreen rows on a page and have the Nectar Slider as the first row. I am also using the permanent transparent header option, However, when I view the page on a mobile device the header reappears. Is there a way to keep it transparent? I’ve tried a few things and get the header to go transparent but the mobile menu disappears, etc.. Please let me know what I need to do. Thanks

Is there no other way? I’m able to do it with Firebug (live code), but can’t seem to re-create the proper CSS in the Salient Panel. Also, I used the following code and it made the header transparent, but now I have a white “header” at the bottom of the page. Perhaps there is way to now remove that?

The issue is that the fullscreen rows subtract the height of the header on mobile so ideally it would need a js modification in addition to the custom css that actually makes the header transparent

Hi, I love your theme and am almost ready to launch my new site! I am trying to create a blog where I can have some of the masonry thumbnails open a lightbox when clicked (stays on that page), and some posts go to a page laid out with elements using Visual Composer. I just need help with the thumbnail to lightbox option. Is that possible? Not all my posts will have content — just an image.

As of now this would only be possible if you were adding the image into the post content area with a link, the option in the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality for “Auto Lightbox Image Links” would work

Hello guys, great job with this theme! As a happy customer, i would like to extern a bug:
when you use the classic enhanced style + standard buttons, all of them would be rectangular, but inside a post, the categories are round, although they are rectangular in the blog section.
I am having this issue right now, so please fix this for the new version.

Awesome theme guys. I’ve been using Salient for several years now. Never ran into an issue or any problems – until now.
I have an issue where a plugin is using the trix-editor. The spacebar scroll is not overridden. When clicking the spacebar instead of adding a space within the editor the page scrolls.
I realize my support has long expired – but I was hoping you would help considering I’ve never requested any support.
If you are not able to provide direct support – I understand that – Can you guide me to the script that overrides the scroll for inputs, textareas etc. I may be able to modify if to include the trix-editor.

Never mind guys. Found it. For anyone else experiencing a similar issue. Open /salient/js/nicescroll.js (take a copy).
Reverse the minification (Beautifier – you can do that here http://jsbeautifier.org/)
Go to line 1018 and add your tag/element to the if statement.

Is there a way to add a button to the description box within an icon list. I tried adding shortcode and HTML but nothing displayed. I would like to put a small description of Icon List #1 with a “Learn More” that links to an anchor link further down the page. Thanks.

That textarea doesn’t parse shortcodes by default – it would require modding the nectar/nectar-vc-addons/vc_templates/nectar_icon_list_item.php

After latest update, we have to refresh every page for it to load, otherwise, the previous page still shows despite the URL changing. Seems like an AJAX cache/not refreshing thing. Any ideas?
I should add that this doesn’t happen with the stock 2016 and 2015 WordPress themes

I went into folder css/fonts/svg/ecommerce_diamond.svg and changed the icon to a different icon but it did not work. I still see the same diamond icon. I have even tried uploading a different icon with a different name. For example demo.svg and changed the shortcode that you currently have to:
[icon enable_animation=”true” color=”Accent-Color” animation_speed=”Fast” icon_size=”” animation_delay=”” image=”demo.svg”]
but still no changes.
Am I editing the wrong svg file in the wrong directory? How do you edit these icons?

I am having an issue with the “Recent Posts” no longer showing the feature image on any of the style options after updating from Version 7.0.9 to Version 7.5.02. Or maybe it was the updating of Wordpress to Version 4.6?

We’re having a strange row/wrap/footer issue on a new install and page. Posted on support over a day ago and no response, but seeing help posted here. Essentially, our first row is staying open for the entire page through the footer. Please see the support ticket for details and login info.

We purchased Visual Composer and replaced the theme nectar composer as it has more features available, how ever have since discovered that its caused havoc with CSS items. Are there any plans to have the theme nectar vc offer the same features as VC?

At the moment im using their buttons builder, very cool and allows nice customization along with the google headers feature. I prefer to have the ability to customize the colours of headers and control what html element is assigned to it, ie h2, h3 or

Instead of using the sidebar template have you tried using the default and making a two column layout with the widgetised sidebar VC element? This should allow everything to function correctly

This is a good theme and I understand you have a lot of people wanting support but the support you offer is far too slow and vague, and the theme is filled with bugs. I’ve been waiting for resolution to a problem for nearly 2 weeks now, so it’s frustrating to see you answering more recent questions before answering mine. I would appreciate if you could look into my emails again and offer support for the issue. The videos should have working controls and I shouldn’t have to wait this long and ask multiple times for you to offer a solution for a simple function that your product is advertised as having. I only have 3 days of support left so I’d appreciate if you could resolve this issue before then.
