Hi, our website designer bought U design in 2014 on his own Envato account. We are very happy with the U-Design Theme. Now I want to recieve and install theme updates through my own Envato account. How to proceed?

Once the theme is purchased, future updates are free with that account, so unfortunately the way ThemeForest.net is setup only the owner of that account can have access to the theme that was originally purchased. Since you’re not in touch with the person that purchased the theme originally, it’s impossible to get updates for that license. In general, it’s best for the person that owns the website to have purchased their own license of the theme, that way they will be independent of anyone maintaining their website for future updates or access to support forum since the purchase code is required to register in the support forum.

Hello! I really like the theme and I’m anxious to buy it. However I have a few questions first.
1. The demo content. What’s included? Is every preview I see included in the demo content, or is it something different? For example, I really like this slideshow, http://dreamthemedesign.com/themes/u-design/. Obviously images are copyrighted and whatever but will the essence of the slideshow still be there for me to quickly and easily modify?
2. My site is selling a massive amount of digital download forms. I see that Woocommerce is supported, but I was unable to find an example of what a normal shop and checkout would look like besides http://idesignmywebsite.com/u-design-shop/product-category/yerba-mate/. I like the functionality on the left side, but what are the other customizations possible for product pages.
Finally, are all of the demos listed on http://preview.themeforest.net/item/udesign-responsive-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/253220?_ga=1.243019714.1327388966.1472160955 included in the template?
And if so, are they as represented on those pages.

I do have one final question. Ultimately I just don’t want to deal with a lot of problems. I apologize for the questions, but I need this site to be able to be setup smoothly without a lot of problems.
Here’s my question: Schema I’ve tried to find as much information as I can, but as I was researching these forums I found this question.
“This them appears to remove all attempts to place schema into the site. Is there a way to turn off this?
I need to add microdata or Json data. I have tried multiple plugins and even tried to place the data on the page. How can I make this theme function with Schema?”
The question was answered on another basis and not addressed on its substance. But this question really scared me.
Things I’m worried about that I’ve seen happen: 1. Theme “creates it’s own schema data” but somewhere screws up one of the meta fields so you always get errors on validation checks.
2. Conflicting with other SEO plugins.
3. Conflicting with the schema that I add built with Google’s helper. Basically here, I just take the html of a standard post, mark it up with google, and the use that html for the post. I’ve seen and heard of themes screwing this up, and the question above seems to suggest the theme would delete that work.
4. Facebook open graph etc.What problems am I going to have here with your theme?
Really Important Questions 1. Will this theme cause me problems in the above-listed areas?
2. Nothing’s perfect. If there are problems that exist, have common problems been addressed on your support forums in a way I can use the support answer given and fix my site.
3. Is there any possible way your theme will make any of the above easier without creating conflicts?
Once again, I’m really excited by your theme. I’m just worried because I’ve been excited about other themes, and while most have been good, many still have these micro problems that end up being too time-consuming.

to your first 3 questions. Not sure which thread you read in the comments but must have been an older one, currently the theme offers the option to enable http://schema.org/ tags if you’d liked to, it’s optional. As far as the theme removing any schema, I’m not aware of such issue, if this happens I can guarantee you it’s not the theme but most likely the WordPress native content formatter which you can use a couple of lines of code to disable or use a plugin to disable the default WP format filtering.
I’m also not aware of any conflicts with popular SEO plugins, usually I recommend Yoast SEO as I’ve tested the most with the theme and there are no issues, I also use it on some of my sites that require SEO. Same goes for Facebook open graph, I’m not aware of any issues, and the theme should not interfere.
Our support forum is a great asset to all U-Design users, we put a lot of effort to provide the best support and answer all questions. The forum contains over 20,000 support threads that we have already resolved and a FAQ section.
Overall the theme is very flexible, it offers own hooks/filters API which when used with a “child” theme becomes a powerful tool to customize your site and not having to worry about breaking your customizations with future updates.

Version 2.1.1 of All in One WP Migration introduces new compression algorithm. It makes exporting and importing 10 times faster. Unfortunately, the new format is not back compatible with backups made with earlier versions of the plugin.

Is the recent version compatible with Wordpress 4.6? If not, where can I download a version of WordPress 4.5.x or WordPress 4.5. I tried to install the theme on 4.6 and it keeps failing.

I can not install the demo data…. Every-time I try to log in to get the demo data, it returns a white blank page…. I have been trying for 2 days on 3 different computers and different browsers…. WHY MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO GET THE DEMO DATA?? PLZ reply back with a method on to gain this information without wasting any more time….

I have a pre-sales question. What 3rd party plugins are required to run your theme? I’ve installed some themes that require up to 10-15 plugins to provide functionality, which makes updates a pain.
For any of the 3rd party plugins (ex: Revolution Slider), are security updates free?

my theme includes Rev. slider, Visual Composer and Essential Grid plugin, however, those are optional, you don’t need to use them if you don’t want to and the theme will work just fine. As a matter of fact I purposely setup the theme’s main demo and some of other demos to not use any of those plugins but just the theme’s core features.

yes, you should be able to update fine assuming nothing hack-ish was done to the theme, meaning they didn’t customize it by modifying theme core files, because if they did then after the update you will loose those customizations as all of the theme files will be replaced with new ones. If they just setup the theme using the theme’s default options and features then you should be fine. You may purchase your own license of the theme from HERE.

Sorry, my bad! Yes the forum is for users that have already purchased the theme.
To your previous question, the PureVISION menu is run through that child theme you have, it should continue to work after the update. If for some reason there is some issue with it we can either help you fix it or you could also try to theme’s default menu which is clean, link based menu featuring modern design to have the main menu these days

I just did my normal updated of the theme on a site that has been up for 5 years and you had a note that the Flashmo Grid slider was being discontinued shortly. I replicated the slider in Revolution Slider, but it will not show up on the home page. I have used revolution slider in 20 of my client sites and several of my own, so I know exactly how to create one. ... I am using the regular U-Design Settings area to inset the slider. I do not need support generally as I a senior media designer and do not want to have to pay $41 support to fix something that appears to be a bug in the new version of the theme. When I switch back to the Flashmo Grid, it works just fine.
I was able to get it to show up … but there is a conflict with several plugins.. still trying to figure out which ones

I built an entire site and everything looks great so far on Chrome, but now that I have checked FF and IE latest versions, nothing looks anything like what I have in Chrome. Everything seems to be white and the menu items up top are all blue. It has been a couple of years since I have purchased the theme, but I am just now finally getting around to actually using it, hopefully you can answer my 1 question.

Hello. Is there an automatic update theme feature that will update the theme automatically without us having to do anything every time there is an update?
We have noticed with other themes that some will automatically do the upgrade ourselves and some we have to go into the backend and update ourselves (not very automatic).

The theme offers 1-click update, basically it’s the same as any of the WordPress themes with the exception that you’ll have to provide your Envato API only once in the theme’s settings.

We would like to “set it and forget it” so it automatically updates without having to go in to the backend.

no, no such option. I don’t think it’s a good idea to have that option as imagine if things break on your site for whatever reason as a result of the update (eg. conflict of the latest version with some third party plugin that you have, etc, etc) then your site will be down and you wouldn’t even know, well you’ll probably find out from your clients, which would be the worst possible way to find out
So, IMHO the update process should be supervised. Not to mention that if the author wants to communicate an important announcement through the WordPress Dashboard before or after the update by popping up a notice, you wouldn’t know about it if it’s all automated.
