This is a common problem with the more complicated responsive templates. The problem does not happen only on Tersus. Testings show that the problem does happen on other complicated responsive template.

Wait longer and let Muse finish the loading process. After a while the preview should be loaded.

Usually it will take about 3-5 minutes for a responsive template preview to load depending on the complexity of the website, and also the computer processing speed.

The problem have been reported to the Adobe Muse development team. They are aware of the performance problem and hopefully they are working on making the app performing better.

1. It really depends on how you integrate the existing widgets and compositions with the additional ones that focus more on video production. For example the image slideshow in the portfolio gallery can be replaced with the Vimeo or Youtube video widget. There are actually a few clients that are using the template for video production company website.

2. If you never use Muse before. Honestly, it can be quite challenging. However having said that, a lot of my customer have never used Muse before but still able to finish their website with this template.

Hi,

After inspecting the website I found that the double scroll bars problem only happens on certain breakpoints.

To prevent this problem, make sure that there are no objects placed beyond the page document edge. Usually the bottom edge. The footer elements have to follow the same rule too. Sometimes even when an object is placed just a few pixel after the bottom edge, this problem will happen.

This is actually a performance problem with the Muse app. It only happens with the responsive templates and not on the alternate layouts. Based on my experience, I’ve explained this problem with other customer before. Please read below.

Hi this is a common problem with the more complicated responsive templates. It doesn’t happen with the adaptive or alternate layouts ones. To make sure that the problem is not unique only on Tersus, I have actually bought a responsive Muse template here for testing, and found out that the problem does happen on other complicated responsive template. I wont put the name here but if you want to know which one, you can email me at soulmemoria@gmail.com.

Actually the preview for responsive templates will load but it takes a very long time. As you’ve mentioned, the app will freeze for quite some times. During this time, try not to do anything and juat wait patiently. I have also found out that this has nothing to do with how good or bad your computer is though better machine will still perform slightly better. A lot of people with high end computers have reported the same problems. On my side, it usually takes about 3-5 minutes for a responsive template preview to load. There are others that take shorter and also longer.

I have reported the problem to the Adobe Muse development team and have also seen the same kind of problems reported a few times. They are aware of the performance problem and I believe they are working on making the app performing better as this is one of the famous problem being reported. Hopefully the next stable release will be a lot better.

I’m sorry for the trouble, but for the time being, there isn’t much that can be done to fix this problem. I’ve tried a few things but it doesn’t seem to do much in term of speeding up the preview load time. The only things that work is by taking off elements and pages to make the templates ligther. Try to preview one template and do nothing on your computer. Give it some times. You should see the preview do load although taking a very long time.

Hi,

Is there any warning shown regarding the contact form problem? If the form is not working, it’s probably has to do with the PHP support. Make sure that your hosting server does support PHP scripting language. This is required for the contact form to work. Some basic hosting subscription package may not include PHP support. Sometimes the setting is not right. This is the most common reason for this problem (contact form not working). To fix this, you may need to contact your hosting server provider.

For the map, can I know what is the problem with the map? The custom map may have problem showing the right coordinate for certain locations. If you encounter this problem, please use the Muse native map widget.

Hello,

Some icons in the templates are generated from the Font Awesome fonts library. These include some navigation arrows and also social media logos.

The mentioned problem can be fixed by installing the Font Awesome font package. The steps or process of doing this can be seen in the Main Documentation.pdf file. Just open the file and go to the Font Awesome section.

Hi,

For the alternate layout templates, there’s a special workaround for the tablet and phone menu. From your description, the problem could lie with the menu composition container which is a State Button.

To fix this, open the Main Documentation.pdf file and go to Pin to Top Workaround For Phone and Tablet (Alternate Layout Templates) section. Read the two pages information.

This could be a problem with the lightbox container width. There’s a simple fix for this.

Okay first go to the Tersus – Design 12 folder and open the Additional Notes -Design 12.pdf file.

In the PDF file, go to the last page (Page 12). Read the instruction in the page.

Hi. Yes this is true for the ‘responsive’ templates.There are also ‘adaptive’ or ‘alternate version’ templates. In this type of templates, there are 3 version of layouts, which are the Desktop, Tablet and the Phone layout. All three type of layouts have to be edited.

Slow preview loading time is a common problem with Muse responsive templates. This is particularly true with the more complicated ones. A powerful machine will help but the are also reports of slow loading time on high end machines. Though personally from my experience higher CPU power and RAM do help.

For your information, the same slow loading time problem doesn’t happen with the Alternate Layouts templates.

Hi, for problem no 1, make sure that the State Button where the menu is put in is not covering the page. Resize the height so that it’s shorter.

For problem no 2, can you share the preview link? I’m not really sure how the problem look like.

In terms of the overlay, I ticked it, there are still an overlay of my image. I have four images in total, but there is only two image has the overlays (the right sides).
