Hi,

I really like the look of this theme but have a few important questions:

1) Is it possible to customize the checkout fields? I have ‘Woocommerce Checkout Field Editor’ which lets me change the label and placeholder values in the form. It has worked with themes I’ve tried so far so I am hoping it is also compatible with yours. I noticed your checkout hides the label and only includes the placeholder.

2) Is it possible to use a custom functions.php in a child theme? One change I would like to make is to move the price and add to cart button above the product summary in the product page, using standard Woocommerce hooks.

3) Is it possible to have a distraction free checkout without header/footer? I customized my existing theme to achieve this using theme hooks in my functions.php but those hooks are unique to that theme.

Hi there,

1. We have not officially supported this plugin but I know most of our users have used this plugin to modify the look of the checkout by adding/removing fields.

2. That’s possible, using the Child theme is the best thing you can do when you want to modify the theme, and Aurum has a child theme.

3. We can achieve something like this with custom CSS.

Hi there,

we are going to create a woocommerce product page that should be able to dynamically update the product images based on the product configuration. As this includes arbitrary user input (eg. name, birthdate) we need to generate these images on the fly and can’t work with pre-generated images as we have theoretically an infinite number of possible images.

Once these dynamically generated image is displayed it should also appear on the users cart once the user has added the product to it.

Can you please give us some starting point how we can implement this within the woocommerce framework and your theme?

Hey! been using your theme for a while but there is 2 issues i have found.

thisisnvng.com is my website

1. when you hover over the shop tab the image only loads the top and bottom part not the full thing.

2. the api connection doesnt work to activate visual composer so i can’t edit my pages.

Hey, i haven’t really asked for much help during the license period but this seems a bit unfair you guys are pretty much indirectly stating pay another $41.30 dollars to get a simple question answered. I’ve tried to open a ticket but it doesnt let me says support expired. Utter b.s way of making more money for your theme.

We have moved the item support there (as many authors did), is because the theme is shared in many places for free as a nulled and scripted versions in an illegal way so if they have a problem we don’t want these users to have the same privileges as the users who got the theme in a legal way so they can’t register without a purchase code in our support forum.

1— Can you please try to be very specific about the question and explain it more to us, in this way we can easily understand you and give you the proper answer.

You can upload screenshots on this site if you don’t know any other service.

2— Premium plugins don’t allow us to give customers our license number, so on each premium plugin such as Visual Composer, Revolution Slider and Layer Slider update we release a new update to our theme with the latest version of that plugin included, and customers don’t need to worry about that,

You never need to buy any premium plugins that comes with our theme

Just make sure that you are using the latest version of Aurum (2.9.4), we will release a new update very very soon and it will have latest version of Visual Composer too.

We haven’t tested it yet, but we think that it supports PHP 7.0. If not, it will completely support it on the next theme version :)

Support expired, but it seems the following does not work correctly. ‘Item thumbnail preview type: Product Gallery slider’ is not loading correctly. ‘aurum/assets/js/aurum-custom.js’ -> ‘function initShopHovers()’ -> Effect 2 (gallery slides). It append the ’<nav></nav>’ to the element but fails to add ’< a href=”a”>< / a>’ to the nav. Adding and removing the img class ‘active’ is also failing. How to resolve? Not sure if i have to change anything on the theme settings because your documentation is seriously lacking content: http://documentation.laborator.co/kb/aurum/shop-aurum/shop-settings-2/ I created a new subdomain with a fresh WP with Aurum and some demo content, their i also have exactly the same problem.

Hi, Is there a way to turn off the mobile version on this theme? It may sound strange but I really need this option before I buy the theme.

Our theme uses latest Bootstrap and is a responsive site, this is the first time that any user ask for this request. Maybe we will add this on functionality in the future but this option is not available for the moment.

Yes but then i talked to my team-mate and he was saying that is better if we say to this user that this is not possible, because it requires some code changes, and we don’t have that free time to make those modifications.

On the theme demo I see ‘Author Information’ but after installation the products pages dont show such information. How do i get this done because I am using the books demo and will need that urgently

The widgets are overlapping the products categories and subcategories images and content – we have been told back then that you will fix this on next update. I want to use your template but in another language—NOT in two or more languages (as you would with WPML), but only one language that is not English.

Is it possible to host the template in Spanish without using WPML? Do I have to translate everything manually?

It is possible to use the theme in any other language but you will need to translate the theme strings and words that aren’t translated, some words will be automatically translated as they are part of WooCommerce and WordPress which have their translation files included.

To translate the theme strings you will need the Loco Translate plugin which is a free and great translation plugin.
