I was simply explaining how to get your filters to display in a horizontal fashion, there is no exact style match you can achieve without css in regards to the site you’ve linked as that site is using custom visual composer elements to generate the section – which are not built in to Salient by default

2. So how would one go about getting the css for this? I’ve noticed you helping some others here with css scripts to help customize their sites, is what I’m asking a more complicated task? If so, are there any css learning resources you can recommend? (sorry, I’m really new to all this… don’t even know where to start).

3. Yeah I’m using the default portfolio page template. I’m not even sure Visual Composer is working because it doesn’t seem like I can customize very much, and with this being the first time I have ever installed it, I’m not sure what it is supposed to look like. A lot of your resources such as your Youtube Channel and PDF manual are outdated and only applicable to older versions. I’m not sure what admin credentials to provide. My site isn’t online, I’m just running it via Xampp… if that helps?

2. The Page Builder tutorial still completely applies to the current versions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4mt0lOJ888 however if you’re still unsure if you’re using a page builder element, please provide a screenshot of the backend edit screen on your page for your portfolio

If you’re importing a version of the Salient options that was from a setup prior to 7.0 into a setup that is 7.0+ where the new options panel was implemented, it won’t work unfortunately – you would need to update the old setup first before exporting the options

If you’re upgrading from Salient VC 4.9.2, you’ll need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version (4.10) in Appearance > Install Plugins – This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.
