I’m going to use this theme for my existing blog. And I got a few questions.
1) Can I remove the excerpt? I just want title on the homepage.
2) I don’t want the feature image to automatically show on the post as the first image. Is that how the Foot works? On my blog, the feature images are not necessarily on the post/article. Please see http://momentsjournal.com/
3) Also I want the post would look like as my existing blog: Text first with ads on the right, then images. Is that gonna work?
3) Can I increase the width of the post content to show 900px image instead of 875 as default?
3) Do I need to install the demo… is it needed?

1. I can help you with that.
2. The theme has an option to hide the featured image for each post.
3. The layouts can be visible in the demos, anything else will require custom work.
4. The content will need to be increased not only the image, so some changes will require to the main files. This will be something up to you.
5. Up to you if you wish to install the demo content, is not required at all. Mostly the demo content is for customers that are new with WordPress.

I think my main issue is Featured Image: Are you saying that the option to disable the featured image is on individual post? And Not a 1-click option for the whole theme? My blog is existing and all the posts have featured images.
Or maybe you can give me a code to disable all featured images to show on the posts?
Yes, all featured images from article page can be disable with a simple line of css that can be added via Theme Options > Style Settings > Custom CSS. After you purchase the theme, submit a support ticket and I’ll be glad to help you.

Thanks man! But I think this theme is not for me. I just realized only the featured image is 875px wide and the rest of the images on the post are 720px wide max.

I like the ‘Foot’ theme but the titles on slider and boxed card are not crawlable(or do-follow link) by search engine bot. On firefox I hav “NoDoFollow’ addon installed. The blue indicates do follow link http://i.imgur.com/0Tt8Ni0.jpg. Unlike your ‘Pin’ theme where the titles are all crawlable http://i.imgur.com/lH9h0AV.jpg

Is this mean you won’t update the Foot theme? You did it again on your 2 latest theme. The titles are not crawlable on homepage. So your Pin theme and video theme are the only SEO-friendly theme.
I always update all themes with new features. Please instead of saying something from an addon, please take a look at the source code and you’ll see that is the same. I know perfectly how to build my themes, thank you.

The theme use predefined “Homepages Templates”, for the simple purpose to display the latest articles as per demos. Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option to display articles from certain category instead of the latest posts. For that you’ll need to modified the homepage/s file/s manually.

Yes, there or 3 or 4 requests about this, unfortunately I don’t see the purpose on doing that at all in a home page without using modules. All my themes use masonry / grid style, displaying the latest articles as any normal blog / blogging theme. What you want can be accomplished in 1 min, take a look at this tutorial or you can use this plugin. If you need help with this, submit a support ticket and I’ll be glad to help you.

All demos are the same but with different predefined homepage template as is mentioned in the Documentation. In order to change them, create a Home page or edited the one created if you’ve imported the demo content.

This is a great theme. It takes a bit of focused effort to set up, so read the instructions to make your life easier. After that some custom mods may be needed to tweak to your wishes beyond what’s in the box – using custom CSS and Template edits – which is where more advanced knowledge is a plus. With this in mind newbies might get frustrated, but others will find it easy enough to fit to their bespoke needs. Thanks to the author for a nice job.

Interested in your theme. I see where a non-registered user can “submit”, but I also see where a user can register and login. If anyone can submit, why is there a register and login area? What are the differences being a user and a logged in member? Thanks.

Mostly the anonymous submission form is for anonymous users, that’s because the theme doesn’t come with a user profile page (to edit / delete the articles submitted) as can be seen in the demo. The login / Register system doesn’t have a scope, is added there because there is a demand about it, for forums, etc. So if you don’t want to use it, you can just disable it.

I see your hamburger menu on mobile device – and I’ve seen this menu before several months ago on your demo – maybe longer. It looks much better now – it now looks like the hamburger menu lines match the theme color. Was this a recent update?

Hi, we really liked your theme. We were searching for a both sidebars theme with certain features! To help our final choice, we kindly ask you the following info:
1) On a MacBook Air 11” (1366 pixels wide), we see that the left sidebar is 250 pixels wide. This is almost perfect for us, because we need both sidebars 300 pixels wide. Are these widths the same even on slightly narrower screens, eg. 1024 pixels? And on wider screens? However, is there a chance to have a 300 pixel left sidebar, as the right sidebar?
2) On the same computer, the featured images seem to have a maximum dimension of 525×270 or 480×385 pixels, depending on layout. Are these fixed dimensions? Is there a mode to reduce the 480×385 images to 480×290 pixels? We need to recycle (without hassles) hundreds of featured images of our actual theme (their size is 652×290 pixels).

1. Please test the demo/s in different screens size for a better understand. As for the sidebar, unfortunately there isn’t an option to increase it, so you’ll need to manually change the style.css file. This will be a small job for a freelancer.
2. Unfortunately there isn’t an option for that, so you’ll need to manually change the style.css / functions.php files. As for your old images, you can use this plugin.

2) We know that with various plugins like the one you suggested, you can not enlarge images already uploaded in WordPress media gallery; it seems that the internal functions of WordPress used by these plugins, can reduce, but not enlarge the pictures. And this was the reason of our second question
If the size of your images are (652×290) and the size of the featured image of my slider is 480×385 = you are reducing them from 652 to 480. So that plugin is what you need. Please read your question again, you haven’t mentioned nothing about “enlarge the images” only that you need to reduce them.

If we want have 480×385 images, we have to rescale our 652×290 photos to 866×385, and then crop them. If we resize only, we obtain 480×213 images: really not good for your theme’s requirements. And after resize, we no longer have images compatible with 525×270 format. Thanks anyway
The plugin will not resize your images from 652×290 but will resize the images from the original image you’ve upload it the first time, that can be bigger. Also, if your images are smaller, you can always make use of object-fit: cover; You are welcome!
