It would be possible to use this theme to create a candidate database with filters for internal purposes only?

We are a recruiting agency and what we would like is to create a database of all our applicants, redirect them to create their profile on this site (with custom options like hair color, eyes color, etc which should be filterable)

Do you think it will be possible with this theme?

its possible, but note two things:

1) to add extra options like hair color, eyes etc. can be implemented with custom code (not difficult but require some PHP/WP skills) or there is paid third party addon.

2) these extra option will not be added to the filter. There is a filter plugins (like FacetWP) for that but we didn’t adapt them to the theme. Its in our future plans.

We have other theme, Modellic, it uses FacetWP wilters and it allow to add unlimited options with WooCommerce interface easily. But submission form is just a contact form in that case, so you will not have candidates in the DB automatically. Will need to enter details manually.

I have deleted all job applications and all resumes and purged everything on the back on of the site. Then I re-registered to the site as a new candidate and a new employer. As a new Employer, I added a new job. Asa new Candidate, I applied for the new job just posted. After the new candidate application is submitted I get the following messages on the screen.

“you have already applied for this job” AND “your application has been successfully submitted” both at the same time. I have sent you a screen shot. any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated

1) yes, admin any way have an access to all applications and CV’s

2) yes, its a simple setting

3) yes, maybe some help from our support will be needed to implement the language switcher.

Hi I’m looking at updating the theme.

Are there huge changes to the backend and site i.e can I simply copy over css chnages and it will work in custom css?

Also I have neber used the job functionality but need to now…..

We just want an Employer to be able to submit listings but only we will receive the application email and not them. Then we will contact them if the canditate is suitable. Is this possible?

Hello,

no CSS changes will not work. I recommend you to backup the site, and update it and see what happens. Create a support ticket with list of issues after update and we will help you to solve them.

Avoiding the employers to receive applications will require some customization, becuse its the main idea how it suppose to work.

Hello. I’m in the process of testing the site. I have created a few test accounts 1 as Candidate the other as Employer. There are 2 issues here:

1) As a candidate when I apply for a job it gives me two messages. The first one “You have already applied for this job.” even though this is a brand new account. The second one “Your application has been sent successfully.

2) Getting the Job alerts to work after then have been activated has been a little challenging. the Candidate account is setup with certain job criteria. I post a free job as an employer with the exact same criteria as the candidate and the job never shows up in the Candidates email.

Please let me know how to better approach both points.

I’m having difficulty setting up the Login/Sign Up page. The registration half is not showing and I’m at a loss. I’m talking about http://www.xycareers.com/kenya/ and http://www.xycareers.com/kenya/my-account/ specifically.

Thanks. It has helped. Both login and registration are working on “my account” page now. Just that, I wish I could put “login” on one side, “registration” on the other side, just like on your demo page. But what I have now is not in that grid form.

Pre-Purchase Question: Hello, I’m looking at a few Job themes and need this functionality: When a Candidate submits for a job, the admin of the website (or another designated email) needs to be made aware / receive copy of submission in addition to the destined Employer. Is this possible currently? If it requires child-theme modification: what would the process be?

Plugins Note

Before you proceed with import, there is an important note. This theme has required, recommended (bundled with theme or available for free) and optional list of paid third party plugins, in case you need extra functionality provided by them.

If you did not installed and activated one or several of these plugins (you may just don’t need them), after demo file submitted you may see messages starting with “Invalid post type…”, “Failed to import…” etc. Its not an issue, just importer skip the content types WordPress doesn’t know about. For exampe if you did not installed a WooCommerce plugin, it will skip all products, because product post type is not registered. Or is there is no Resume Manager addon, then resumes will be missing of course. The other content will be imported fine.

Hello Team Coffeecream! Couple of quick pre-sales questions:

1. Is there a dummy/test account for both versions so we can see various functions such as Resume Search, Jobs/Candidate Dashboards, etc.? 2. Can companies add more info (brief description, other social links, etc.) on their individual company pages? 3. Can there be 2 types of Category Filters (Basic Mode)? 1 for job type and 1 for the type of companies?

1) you can just register as employer or candidate and then login and see what is inside.

2) there is such plans, but its not priority right now, I can’t tell when it will be implemented.

3) as it says in the description:

Below is the list of optional paid addons (not included in theme package) that you can use to fully replicate our demo functionality. The total cost of all addons is $125 for core add-on bundle (all listed below are included in this bundle, so you can save a lot of money) which includes 13 official addons, $32 for Job Manager Geolocation, and $18 for Resume Manager Geolocation.

All noted. A few more questions:

1. So the total cost of purchasing the Advanced version of the theme (everything included as in the demo) is $125? Or is it $59 for the theme PLUS $125 for all the add ons? (Sorry but I just want to make sure.)

2. Regarding where CVs are stored: So aside from the hosting I purchase from iPage for example, I’ll need company like Amazon AWS for example where the CVs will be stored? (This is something that I am not familiar with hence your help/advise would be greatly appreciated. )

3. Is it possible to initially not offer the CV functionality & just have job seekers create a portfolio but with the “Contact” function/button? (Example: http://www.coffeecreamthemes.com/themes/jobseek/v2/resume/owen-brock/)

4. About the ability for companies to enter more information about their company, I really hope you would be able to implement this soon as this is one of the things that’s missing in the other job board themes. Most especially, this would help those who bought the theme entice more companies to post jobs on the site. I think even by limiting the characters to a certain number of words or letters for example would really add more value to the offer.

5. In line with item #4, how about allowing a company to select an industry which can also be used by job seekers as a filter to finding jobs?

6. Lastly, can someone register as both employer & job seeker using only one email address?

Hello,

1) theme is a theme, you buying it from us via ThemeForest. If you need addons you buy from third party site, its not connected with us in any way. So you pay for a themes, then fro addon bundle or separate addons, and for 1 or 2 geolocation addons (because its made and sold by another developer).

2) I don’t see any reason to buy some servers for that, it will be enough of hosting space to keep resume files, at least for beginning.

3) yes

4) yes, we know that and we will working on that, but I can’t promise you that it will be available soon

5) the main task if to find a job, correct? Jobs has categories and tags, I think its enough for filtering purpose. Sticking a company to some industry sound weird.

6) no you can’t register 2 times with same email.

Where is the 1.9 design?

Sure the 2.0 seems is nice… but my client definitely bought the theme when looking at the 1.9 design.

I had 1.9 running, and it was running smooth, but I’d like to stay up to date. I upgraded to 2.0…

No longer using the cssjockey membership module?

It has changed so much I almost feel you should have released this as a new/different theme. Any way to get the old look back?

I can not submit a ticket because my url is a new extension url not recognised by their ticket application form…..I guess I will solve the issue on my own….until I make the final decision to ditch this theme…....coming soon!

Our upddate is a completely new version of Jobseek theme, much lighter, built with Less CSS, rebuilt from scratch to increase performance.

Do not install it if you are happy with your current version and your customisation, but if you want to install it, you will have to customise it again.
