I already bought the Porto 3 Theme from SW-Themes. There is no info on the site, that Porto 2 can’t be updated to Porto 3. Changelog even mentions all versions back to version 1.
I need to upgrade my website content, otherwise I’d have to rebuild all my pages from ground up with Visual Composer.
Please give me advice how I can handle this problem.

As you have purchased Porto theme You can start using and building your website on it. But it is not possible to update the theme of a different author with the different Author’s version. For more help about the “Spyropress porto theme” please contact theme author. This is the best info we can provide you.

It appears that my hosting provider does not support max_execution_time above 30, but porto requires 180, so it appears that my hosting doesn’t match requirements. Please tell me how crutial execution time is and is there a real need to change my hosting?

Hi,
Max execution time is very important for any theme or site. You can not import demo properly without it or your plugins are not working properly without it. So you have to change the hosting service and should use the max_execution_time more than 180 because most of the theme requirements are higher than the 30 seconds.
Can you please contact us through our support system so we will make at least 1 try to increase the max_execution_time for you. If we will not success then you have to change your server.

How can I get my category pages to sort into columns, I have selected 3,4 & 6 columns in Theme Options > Woocommerce > Shop & Product Archive > Shop Page Product Columns. but they don’t seem to make any difference

If you like to remove this section you can do it by selecting blog page layout to full width from Theme Options >> Blog and Archive. Thanks

Ok, if you want to use the sidebar layout then you have to remove the sidebar menu widgets from Appearance >> Widgets >> Blog Sidebar and remove the widget which you do not want to show on your blog page sidebar.
OR
Please go to and edit the blog page and from view options deselect the sidebar menu from sidebar menu option.
OR
Please go to Appearance >> Menu and deselect the sidebar menu globally for the site.

the search for a product using the search form is VERY slow!! My site is optimized, A + B grades with webpagetest and fine with pingdom and the site is fast enough (not the fastest, but ok). But the search is VERY slow!!! How come?

Hi my support was expired, so I’m writing here.. I check my site with different browsers and find out that your theme is working well just on chrom. with other browsers I got error message from “theme.min.js”, I took a look at the file and it’s full of errors! please check your files with JSHint or somthing before publish them. you can even check your live preview with edge/firefox, and see that it’s not working…

I think you have installed extra plugins other than theme required plugins which are creating confliction with theme JS files. Our theme is working absolutely fine and perfect with the IE, Edge and Firefox. We have not yet received ay complaint about the browser issues.

Almost all of these options are available in Porto. Ecommerce features are handled using famous WooCommerce plugin and the wishlist and newsletter signup features are also managed with bundled plugins in the theme.
Some of the options may need slight tweak to make everything work as desired.
