Hello. I am creating a page for blog entries (it is set to be the default blog page) of my website but the option “Disable Title/Description” is not working. It just happens with this page. Any idea what could be causing this? Thank you for the attention.

Hello Rafael,

First of all, thanks for using Osmosis.

If you have set your Blog page under Settings > Reading, then the in-page option is not valid for this instance. You have to disable the title under Theme Options > Blog Options. For any other question please open a ticket in our Support Forum since we do not provide support in the public comments area. Our support team will be happy to help you.

Best Regards,

Chris

It worked. Thank you very much!

No problem Rafael!

Enjoy our Theme. :)

Hi I love the theme

One small thing i would love is the ability to duplicate a feature section slider item… Would save on having to style each one if they are all the same

  • 5 star theme for sure. If your wondering if its worth it don’t!!!

Hello communiquemedia!

We really appreciate your feedback and your amazing 5-stars review :)

About the feature section, I do not know how can this be possible since our philosophy is to create any feature element on the fly. This mechanism is a little complicated. Anyway, be sure that we will exhaust all possibilities!

Best Regards.

Hi!

My support has already expired, but I was wondering if you could please let me know whether or not it’s possible to expand the spacing of the menu items in the main navigation. Any help would be tremendously appreciated, but totally understandable if not.

Cheers!!

3 minutes later and I already found the answer to my question (apologies), but I’ll leave it here as a comment in case anyone else is curious.

Use this code under Theme Options > CSS / JS Options > CSS Code:

/* Menu Padding Horizontal */

.grve-bottom-header ul li a { padding-right: 30px !important; padding-left: 30px !important; }

Thanks — Osmosis is the best :)

Hey there!

Glad you found a solution and for sharing this. Thanks for your kind words :)

Best Regards.

I can see from the changelog of the latest release (3.2.9) that there is a change on how the theme loads the images for better performance.

Could you please be more specific ? What has changed in technical terms ? What image controls are affected ? Is it doing lazy-loading for the image slider ?

Hello there,

Thanks for your message! This is not about lazy-loading or anything similar. This has to do with the way that the theme loads the appropriate image size(from the available image sizes) per media screen. This is a feature that was embedded in WP a few months ago but we had to make various code changes in order to support it. Shorty, there is no need to change or set anything from your side but I suppose that your site will now load faster on mobiles for example.

Hope this makes sense :)

Best Regards.

Great theme !!!! but i want to know that is there any option of change colour of add to cart button in customizer ?

Hello there,

First of all, thanks for using Osmosis. :)

Hello! Where do you select the menu to use for the second footer area please?

Never mind — just found it under Apperance > Menus > Manage Locations. I’ll leave this comment up in case anyone else has any trouble finding it.

Thanks! :)

Cheers :)

Hello, Is it possible to add a link into your icon box (icon or title) ? Or better, a button into the content ? Also, do you include tables in your layout ? Thank you.

Hello there,

Thanks for your interest :)

Sure you can add a link in the icon box and combine text with button as well. We include pricing tables element but not classic tables.

Hope this is helpful!

Best Regards.

Is it possible to use an outline type button that also has a fill color?

Hello there,

Thanks for your message! Could you please this page http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/buttons/ on our demo?

Best Regards.

Hi, I want change some sub header background ,

An amazing theme. But i’d like to ask , is there a possibility to translate the safe button text?

Hey there,

Firstly, thanks for your kind words and for your review :)

You can normally translate the texts in the Safe Button from the theme strings. For anything more, we would greatly appreciate it if you use our Support Forum instead of the public comments in order to have a more detailed and step-wise guidance.

Hello

How can I control de thumbail size of portfolio item in a masonry or multigrid format?

I want define a porfolio like “featured” to preview the thumbail more larger than the others and set the importance of each portfolio item.

Thanks

Hey there!

Thanks for your message! I am afraid that it is not possible to control this manually in masonry/multigrid. In any case, we would greatly appreciate if you use our Support Forum for any kind of support you need instead of the public comments. Our team will be glad to help you :)

Best Regards.

Still loving the theme. I would just like to recommend a couple feature requests for future updates:

1) It would be very helpful having a way to control how a font displays in all devices display sizes. For example, I notice that after I changed page and post title font sizes, if I scale my browser window down or if I view the website on other devices, the fonts sizes will fluctuate drastically depending on the browser size.

Maybe this is normal behavior, but I spent many hours trying to figure out how to control this though various lines of css. For those who aren’t very good with code and who simply want to change font sizes, I’ve found it to be very tough to tame this, especially with the various page types. Some way to better control this in the settings would be very helpful.

2) For folks who have migrated their sites from a prior theme to Osmosis, the ability to have all of the “related posts” images (section at the end of a blog post) to be the same size would be great. Currently, for whatever reason my old blog post thumbnails show up at a larger size than new post thumbnails. It looks bad.

3) An option in the theme settings to have “related posts” only show text and no images.

4) An option in the theme settings to disable the hover over effect for “related posts’.

5) An option to display all of the “related post” thumbnails in black and white would be a great feature. The many colors of the various blog post thumbnails is a bit distracting when trying to maintain a simple and clean look. I wouldn’t expect this to be a default feature, I just think it would be a cool option to consider adding to the theme settings.

6) On the blog page, beneath the post title now appears a comments icon and the # of comments on an article. I don’t recall ever seeing this until a recent update. I tried hiding via css but with no luck. An option to disable this in the theme options would be great.

Anyway… these are just some things I’d love to see implemented. I know all or most of them can easily be done with simple css, but for folks like myself who suck at coding, these features would save may hours. Thanks and keep up the great work. I see your new Blade theme is looking very nice.

Hello there,

Thanks for your kind words and for your feedback :)

1. We already provide an amazing way to control your fonts on devices in Blade, you can read more details here http://docs.greatives.eu/tutorials/blade/theme-options-in-blade/typography-options-responsive-typography/ . We will check the possibility to add this feature in Osmosis as well but, honestly, I cannot be 100% sure if this is possible.

2. This has nothing to do with Osmosis, as you will get the same result with any other since themes use different image sizes. Shortly, it is impossible to get anything different than this. The well know solution here is to regenerate your thumbnails – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ – or reupload your images when you activate a new theme.

3. I have just added it in our todo list :)

4. Same here!

5. No promises here. I have to discuss it with the other guys.

6. We will check this.

Hope this makes sense. For anything more, we would greatly appreciate if you use our Support Forum in order to have a more detailed and step-wise guidance. By the way, Blade theme is our most powerful theme… till the next one ;)

Best Regards.

Hi, does this theme include a revolution slider purchase code in order to use free premium slider templates?

Hello there,

First of all, thanks for using Osmosis.

Revolution Slider plugin is bundled with the Theme and is 100% functionable but in order to use the premium slider templates that Themepunch provide you have to purchase a separate premium license. For any other question please use our Support Forum since we do not provide support in the public comments area.

Hi there,

The best theme I ever worked with, no doubt. You can use this template so well as a basic when you have to make a live website from PSD.

The only big problem, the theme is not compatible with some plugins I wanted to use:

“There is JavaScript error on the page: plugins.js?ver=3.2.7:504 Uncaught Error: Couldn’t cast `[object Object]` to a date object.

from file http://www.forskolin.pixeltoday.nl/wp-content/themes/osmosis/js/plugins.js?ver=3.2.7"

Other things: Because of the use of ”!important” in the responsive.css it’s not really possible to override these styling in the child theme css. Things like the font size of headings, of the copyright text and the height of the featured element/title I have to change in the responsive.css itself.

Hope you can fix the Javascript error in the next update.

Keep it up guys!

Chris

Hello there,

Firstly, thanks for your kind words! We are really glad you like Osmosis :)

About your issue with the external plugins you need to use as you can easily understand there is no possibility from our side to ensure the theme compatibility with any plugin there is out there. I am pretty sure that it is clear enough. For anything else, please use our Support Forum as we are not able to provide support here for many reasons. Our support agents will be happy to help you.

Hope this makes sense!

Best Regards.

I would to have horizontal pricing tables instead of verticals, what can you recommend? The options are unbelievable.

Hello there :)

If you have already purchased our theme please use our Support Forum as we provide support only there. We’d be glad to help you.In general, you can have what you see in our demo http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/counters-pricing-tables/

Best Regards.

Two quick questions.

1. Where do I find the code to remove/disable the “This theme recommends these plugins…”

2. Where do I edit the Newsletter Modal so I can add a gravity form on make it click to an email address or a internal webpage?

Thanks! David

Question: On your portfolio window shades… is it possible to have a logo that would disappear upon hover? Instead of type appearing on hover? If so, how would you go about doing this? Thank you!

Hi!

I’ve got my website already translated into two languages – English and Czech.

I’ve translated all the pages and all the portfolio items.

But when I’m on single portfolio page (in English) and click on the portfolio grid on the top right menu it takes me to the Czech portfolio grid.

Is there a simple way to fix this?

Thanks a lot!

David

Hello again :)

Now it makes sense! I think that you just need to translate the portfolio_backlink under WPML > String Translations. You can read more details in our KB http://docs.greatives.eu/tutorials/osmosis/extras-osmosis/translation-wpml-multilingual-plugin/ and on this related article https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/ . Please also check this related screenshot. For anything more, please use our Support Forum as it is out of our policy to provide support here. Thanks for your understanding!

Best Regards

Thanks for help!

I forgot to mention that I’m using Polylang, not WPML.

Well, anyway – I still can’t figure it out. I tried to translate the string portfolio_backlink (which by the way has the same translation for English and Czech – don’t know if this is a problem), I tried to edit .po file, nothing helps.

If I create a brand new page with a new portfolio – how do portfolio items know to which portfolio they belong?

I understand that you don’t provide support here and my support for Osmosis is gone. I’m thinking about buying it again though because I just have to make this work.

Thanks again!

Check your email please ;)

hello, I want to know if there is a template for virtuemart joomla. Thanks!

Hello there,

Unfortunately, we create only WordPress themes :)

from moderntribe?

Hello there,

Thanks for your message! Without being 100% sure, I think that I have seen this plugin with our theme in a customer’s site. However, honestly, we have never tested Osmosis with this plugin. For sure, Osmosis is fully compatible with the Events Calendar, both free and pro.

Hope this is helpful!

Best Regards.
