Dropdown menu color keeps reverting back to the default teal no matter what colour I set it to.

Hey again, currently i’m seeing it as the dark blue – do you have any way I can see the issue?

Cheers

I have F12 – Empty cache & hard reload to no avail.

When navigating back and forth through fullpage row sections it ocassionally shows a blank page and further navigation is disabled.

Hey dessibob,

Have you tried to use the option for “Disable Fade Out On Click” in the page transitions tab within the Salient options panel?

Tried that no change. It seems to be the Home link mostly. Clicking on the links one by one is fine but when you start clicking the links backwards thats where it gets stuck

Hey ThemeNectar,

I’m trying to incorporate the portfolio masonry layout on the home page of the “Ascend” demo into a page that is set as “Full Screen Row” (love this feature btw).

However, no matter what I try, have 2 regular, 1 wide, and 1 tall/wide element results in the 2 regular + 1 wide side by side, and the tall/wide under neath with a huge blank spot beside it.

Any suggestions on how to get it to snug up to each other like on the Ascend demo while in a Full Screen Row?

Also, just as a heads up, tried using the button element style “Regular with Tilt” in a “Full Screen Row” and it through a JS error that appears break scrolling to any other rows.

Hey, you can use a plugin like this to reorder with drag and drop https://wordpress.org/plugins/intuitive-custom-post-order/ change the order of your projects to have “Test portfolio item” second instead of last

Hey ThemeNectar,

How is this handled in the Ascend demo? It doesn’t look like there is an additional plugin used there when I check it on my local demo site. Or were the demo posts placed in specific order when they were added?

If I use a plugin to change post order it will affect the portfolio page itself as well (which I don’t want) instead of just the page with the VC element.

P.S: I’m not in the habit of loading outdated plugins and it looks like the one you mentioned hasn’t been updated in a year. :(

Hey,

1. The portfolio items happened to be ordered that way

2. If you want to only affect one instance of a portfolio and not others it would require using a different categories for each i.e. one for each location which you want a different order for. There’s also other plugins for drag&drop ordering – I just know the one I linked above doesn’t have any conflicts :)

Hi, please! I can not display a Gravityform in a site. Is there something wrong? (I have tryed with VC and shortcode in text) Thanks!!!

Hey isiscomunicacio, please share your URL in regards so I can take a look :)

Cheers

Hey! Try to add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

.gform_wrapper {
    display: block!important;
}

I just updated to WP 4.6.1 and now in the page builder when I click to add an element nothing happens.

Hey taboouser, make sure you’re using the latest Salient Visual Composer as well (4.12) older versions are not compatible with the current WP

Cheers

The theme is definitely sleek and easy to use and the demo options are great. I based my site on the ‘App’ demo and it works great except in Microsoft Edge where it just jumps very quickly to the first screen – making it impossible to navigate and read any content – is that some sort of compatibility issue that can be resolved?

I just checked how your site behaves in Edge http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-app/ and it does exactly the same thing – just jumps from screen to screen every second!

Hey zichrini,

I currently can’t replicate this on edge on my setup, could you please let me know the version you’re using?

Cheers

all my help requests disappeared ! when I click the link in the email it takes me to nothing ! just the comments page!

Hey Andrew, are you talking about on here or ticksy?

There is a wired problem I am getting on a site I am working on, the contact forms simply dont allow to enter any text. here is an example…

http://atidivnew.wpengine.com/contact/

Hey techsupportit,

The latest update to CF7 changed the default starter form to wrap the elements in labels. To fix this for now make sure the inputs are not wrapped. Here’s how it should look: http://imgur.com/a/q2JKk

The next update will add compatibility for the new default structure & minimal form inputs

Cheers

I don’t have a wrap around. This is how the form is like now, please have a look and confirm. http://imgur.com/a/pQbvJ

You have the labels wrapped around the actual shortcode when it should end after the text, compare the screenshot I provided above with the one you just sent :)

Home Slider not working on Safari.

It’s only image and caption and works fine on other browsers. I have checked another site i worked on with the same theme and that one works fine.

Please help! :cry:

Thanks ChrisToshi

By the way i did purchase the theme just on another email account!!

Hey ChrisToshi,

Could you please share your URL in regards so I can test as well?

Cheers

Hi, there.

We bought your theme. It´s realy great.

We installand with demo contend “Onepage” and all fine, except google maps not working.

Here is the error message form console:

Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error

js:37:391 _.kb()js:37 Hm/this.f</<()common.js:50 _.mw</<()common.js:199 qm/c()common.js:44 <anonym>

What´s wrong?

Reagrds.

Hey born-design!

The current version of Salient (7.5+) now has a field in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab for adding in your API key. Once you provide a valid API key for google maps it will load :)

Cheers

THX. I will figure out now how to generate and how to use. Regards, BD.

You’re welcome :)

Hi, how can I resolve the responsive of this demo: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/4363266?_ga=1.15031538.595435537.1473070767

specially the last page (the product view), If I resize the browser window big to small to big, the background image not resize correctly.

Thanks.

I see the issue occurring now only when resizing from desktop to mobile and back – i’ve noted to sort it for the next release

Cheers

yes that is!! ok, thanks.

You’re welcome :)

Please, I know I’m out of support. But until now I had not emerged me the problem I have.
I have been finished product and I find the following problem:

Hovering like an icon for all products appears. Right now I have a product Sold Out but still leaving the same icon.

In panel options > WooCommerce > Product Style > I have pricked Add to cart text on hover .

Is there any way to remove the icon and exit Add to cart or as appropriate in each case?
Another problem is that mobile devices do not get to see the icon.
It appears correctly in Add to cart Icon on Hover (Classic) , but I do not like this system because I want you to see the price from the beginning.
:grin: Many thanks. I am delighted with it.

Hey digrafo!

There’s a new shop style coming in the next update – I would recommend holding off on these customizations until then since it won’t be too long :)

Cheers

OK. Many thanks. I love SALIENT.

Glad to hear!

Quick question – Is there a way to display the portfolio in a single column? Like a traditional blog? If not, is there a “Single portfolio item” element that I could repeat 5-6 times to achieve this look?

Thanks! (Love the theme btw)

Hey alfredsalib!

Unfortunately there’s no single portfolio item – but css could help with this. Please share your portfolio URL so I can take a look at your setup

Cheers

I just updated to Wordpress 4.6.1 and updated Salient to the 4 August 16 version. I had this problem before the updates. That’s why I chose to update just now.

When I click on “Page Builder” and then “Add Element,” the “Add Element” window opens up, or pops up. But, I’m not able to select anything. I click on elements, and nothing happens.

I disabled all of my plugins to see if they were the issue. I don’t think so. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

Hey RoseJoan!

Are you also using an up to date Salient VC (4.12)? Any older version of the plugin won’t work with a current WordPress install

Cheers

No, I was not! I updated Salient VC and all works perfectly! Thanks so much!

Glad to hear :)

Hi,

It’s my first time with Silent theme and it’s great! :) I had couple of issues but I almost solved it myself. Only one issue left.

I have all sections on one page, and only Contact page is separate page. When i’ m on home page all sections in header menu are highlighted. I was trying solve this on many ways but without succes. Can You help me please?

Hey rajuldz, that’s great to hear!

Could you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on :) themenectar.ticksy.com/ Also kindly let me know the ticket ID here once you’ve so

Cheers

Hi,

I’m already open the ticket on Your site. The ticket number is #909518

Hey Salient!

Just having trouble loading a web page. Every time I try to load https://cantedpictures.com/through-rose-colored-glasses/ the image at the top of the page refuses to load properly. When I inspected the problem via Chrome, it said: “Refused to load the script … because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: “script-src ‘self’ ‘unsafe-inline’”

To my knowledge, I haven’t changed any setting or played around with any script for the page to misbehave. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance :)

Never mind! I discovered that the error occurred because of my JS minify settings. :)

Hey cantedpictures, glad to hear you’ve sorted it! :)

Hi! I use the portfolio feature to create nice image buttons. But this causes me to have pages like this: https://serverblend.com/portfolio/contact-tech-support/ Empty pages, with just the image.

Google have picked up on these as they link to https://serverblend.com/portfolio/contact-tech-support/feed/ which results in a 404.

Can i safely 410 redirect these pages to the page that the actual portfolio button links to? Or will it brake the image or workings of portfolio?

Cheers!

Hey, are you using Yoast for your SEO plugin? If so, there’s an option to index certain pages :) https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-do-i-noindex-urls/

So you’re saying its best just to no-index them rather than redirecting?

Hey, I just providing an alt solution – if you wanted to do an actual redirect for the single project page it should not break the image/content in your portfolio grid

Cheers

The latest update is out of this world- entirely blown away. Massive congratulations.

That said I wanted to reach out and see what you would recommend for a full page splash entry. To say differently, I want to try and create a welcome mat sort of page where it takes over the whole window, and then offers a button you can click through to the “landing page” so to speak- anything you’d recommend?

Thanks Liyte!

You could use the new full page fullscreen rows feature and hide the dot navigation, leaving only one fullscreen row which could hold any content you desire :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3P1BsTitnE

Cheers

Hi I have uploaded theme demo-content. But theme show old Salient navigation in header not like on AppLanding page with center logo ect. Thanks Peter

Hey Peter,

Could you please share your URL in regards – and please let me know if you’ve imported the demo via demo importer tab in the Salient options panel or if your just uploaded the .xml dummy data file

Cheers

Whys is it so difficult to style contact form 7 in Salient?

Im just trying to get to this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pz69lu9o8l2gi07/Screenshot%202016-09-28%2015.34.57.png?dl=0

And the CSS (which works elsewhere) refuses to make a difference. Is it something specific to your styling of CF7?

input.wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-text.wpcf7-validates-as-required { background-color: #ffffff; }

input.wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-text { background-color: #ffffff; }

textarea.wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-textarea { background-color: #ffffff; }

Ahhh, so a freind has solved this: Without the important tag Salient just ignores the additional form styling. Hope this helps soemone else!

/* Make contact form 7 background white*/

input.wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-text.wpcf7-validates-as-required { background-color: #ffffff!important; }

input.wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-text { background-color: #ffffff!important; }

textarea.wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-textarea { background-color: #ffffff !important; }

Hey, glad to hear you’ve sorted it :)
