It is primarily a business theme first and foremost.

We don’t have any demo pages using WooCommerce shortcodes. As I’ve said, this is more of a business theme rather than a targeted eCommerce one. It might be better checking out our WooCommerce themes Adrenalin or Suave for what you need.

Hi, I’ve been asked to look into your theme to see if it can do the following:
When I click on shop in your template, it loads the grey header image with ‘SHOP’ as title, when I click on a category e.g. ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ it keeps the same background image and changes the title to the category name.
What my client is asking for is two things. When they select a category, such as ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ can we change the background image to a custom image. Does your theme allow this as standard? If we assign the category with a thumbnail image, how easy is it to tweak the template to pull the category thumbnail image to display as the background header image?
The second question is, can we display a different title name from the category name? For example, again if we click on ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ it loads the title at the top of ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ as well as lists ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ in the product category own the left sidebar menu. We want the category to remain as ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ so it display in the menu and slug as this, but as for the page title at the top, my client would like to state something different, e.g. ‘GREAT MINDS’. Is this possible to do within the theme, or is there a workaround, such as if we were to enter ‘GREAT MINDS’ in the category description, we can call this to the header title instead.

1) Yes, understand what you need but it’s not a feature of Factory at present. We have other WooCommerce-centric themes where you can add a product category image.
2) Again, this isn’t a feature – you’d need to change the code to load in the category description rather than than the title.
For customizations such as these I’d recommend the guys at codeable.io – they would be able to help you out.

Love the theme! One question, How can I change the color of the menu item for the current page I’m on. Right now it’s the same color as what I’ve chosen as my main color for the site, but it needs to be white because of the colors chosen. Thanks!

Replace #000 with your preferred color
You can add the code above to Theme Options -> Custom code.

Hello Simon,
This theme looks very promising for a new industrial site that I’m working on. I have two pre-sales questions:
1. I understand that the theme is responsive. I would like to increase the overall width of the .container from 1120px in the demo to about 1400px. Can I do that from Appearance > Theme Options?
2. I read that the theme is child theme friendly. Is a child theme included in the download zip or do I need to create one?

- There’s no Theme Option around this, you’d need to tweak the grid yourself, preferably in a child theme. We can give you some guidance on this.

Hi! This theme looks really awesome… We’re just about to buy it for out project, but I have some pre-purchase questions… When clicking in “Solutions”, I can see a browser widget in the left side, with the same items as the top submenu items under “solutions” (Agricultural Processing, Chemical Research, Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum and Gas, Power and Energy). Is it possible to add sub items to this browsing menu, for example under “Agricultural Processing”, or it’s just one level browsing widget? Can we set in that widget other browsing items even if they don’s appear in the upper nav menu?

That widget uses the free version of a plugin called Advanced Sidebar Menu. https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-sidebar-menu/ The free version only allows for 1 level to be shown. There is a pro version that allows for child/sub items to be added but we’ve not tested or used that ourselves before.The plugin works on the parent/child relationship of pages – but menus are their own unique entity so they could be different if needs be.

Love the theme thanks! I’ve added the facebook page onto the right side menu, the client wanted it to look that way – that being said I want the link to open a new page rather than take the user away from the website. How do I modify the link? Thanks!

If you’ve added a regular link to a widget you can do this:
<a href="#" target="_blank">Facebook</a>
The _blank bit will open it in a new tab.

None of my pages on the menu show that checkmark box. Not pages, not custom links either. I just looked at them all. Only shows

Go to Appearance > Menus and click ‘Screen Options’ at the top.
Ensure ‘Link Target’ is ticked. WordPress hides a lot of useful options within this.
