Thanks for checking out 15Zine. I’m afraid there isn’t an option to put full-screen width ads above the entire site (above header/menus/logo area). 15Zine’s homepage modules could be used to create something kind of similar in terms of layout, Check out this page that shows all the modules available in 15Zine’s homepage builder: http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/home-all-modules/ you can essentially mix and match between all of those modules to build your own homepage, that should give you a good idea if 15Zine is a good match for your project

That was a bug, but it has already been patched up, re-download the theme again now and the child-theme included will work perfect

I’ve re-downloaded the theme (v3.1.2), and still the child theme css is ignored. The only way i got it to work is if i add that on line 157 of “15zine/function.php” : wp_enqueue_style( ‘15zine-stylesheet’, cb_file_location( ‘style.css’ ), array(), CB_VER, ‘all’ );

Oh gosh you are right, that is so weird I thought it was fixed. I will patch it up in the next update for definite. For now, simply remove the

, array( '15zine-stylesheet' )

bits of code (including the comma) and it should all be good.

Ah right I see it now, the reason the pagination isn’t working is because WordPress 100% controls/creates pagination everywhere, and as you added the pagination via the pagebuilder on a page that isn’t set to be homepage/blog page, then the pagination created is for the actual page (paginated content of the page, not pagination for showing posts). I’m afraid as you already have a homepage, the second best thing to do is set the page as the “posts page” in settings -> Reading, and then control how it looks via theme options -> homepage.

Ok i have seen them now in some post styles but they don’t show up in grids and on the cover image in the same way that page views does. Can this be changed?

That is very odd indeed! But the support system is controlled by Ticksy and connects to the Envato API, and I know the API has had trouble in recent weeks, so it might have been done when you tried. Please try again and it should work, let me know if it doesn’t!

2- Ah I see. When you edit a page, you should see a “15Zine page options” metabox, inside there is a Sidebar options tab, and inside that you can select the style of the page, you are likely after the narrow centered version with no sidebar, or a full-width no sidebar option.

And the titles align with the content, so should all be as you hope

Ah yes, that is because of the rebrand, as the author username of the theme is now officially “codetipi” instead of cubell, the plugin thinks it’s a new theme. For this one time you’ll need to update it manually (super easy too), activate a random other theme, then click on the parent 15Zine theme, delete it, then upload the latest parent theme from Themeforest, and then activate your child-theme again. Or if you don’t have a child-theme, activate the normal theme again and you’re good to go. Regarding the wording, it must mean you have a security setting (either plugin or hosting) blocking you from changing files, have you got plugins for security that you can disable temporarily?

You can do something similar on the homepage. If you use the 15Zine homepage builder, you can create a custom links module where you can insert any image/text/url you want. And you can do something like this:

Regarding reviews, you can have a widget in a sidebar that shows posts with reviews from best to worst.

And can you elaborate on what you mean by “page in text with this theme”? Can you share an example or screenshot to better understand what you mean?

By display by the reviews, do you mean “order by highest review score”? If so, currently that isn’t possible, there are some review modules, for example the “Game Reviews” module on the homepage of http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/ is a special module that only shows review posts, but currently you can only set it to show “latest/oldest/random” order. I am planning on adding “by review score” in a future update though, but currently it isn’t possible yet.

Porting from Valenti -> 15Zine is pretty smooth in that a lot of options do port over, however, as 15Zine is a different theme with different features you will need to re-set some things. For example the homepage you’d need to build again, but the pagebuilder is similar, it’s just that 15Zine has different options/modules. But if you’ve done it with Valenti, you will definitely be able to do it quite easily in 15Zine.

15Zine reviews system is also different, but I made it so old Valenti reviews do still output on the frontend in 15Zine’s design. The only quirk is that if you ever want to go back to edit an old Valenti review, you will need to re-create the review inside that post in 15Zine’s new review system.

However, in order to have complete control over your reviews for the future, I really recommend you check out the Let’s Review plugin I made here: codecanyon.net/item/lets-review-wordpress-review-plugin-with-affiliate-options/15956777

Which is an independent and very powerful review plugin with lots of unique design options to choose from and a very friendly/fast backend system, it also includes affiliate options and is fully compatible with Valenti/15Zine. Meaning that you can take your reviews with you to any theme in the future as long as the plugin is active.

Ah yes, I’ve read that Jetpack has some issues with PHP7, I’m sure they’ll update it eventually to be fully compatible

Hm, that’s strange. I simply paste the URL and the video outputs as 750×440.625 rather than 750×422.

Solution: Found that shortcode embeds were enabled in Jetpack; disabled and it now seems to display properly.

I’m afraid that isn’t something the theme can control, the theme modules simply request the posts from X category/tag from WordPress, and WordPress feeds them to the theme, so it isn’t possible to have a system like that because WordPress doesn’t have something like that.
