Ammar. Why don’t you add the exact location of the where to update manually in that link?

My support is expired but luckily I found the answers on the Avada forum from other equally frustrated users.

Avada is a great theme but it’s very complex and can be very difficult unless you’re a experienced user or professional. Especially when your team doesn’t provide information that’s is easy and straight forward for everyone to understand.

As much as I like the theme I can’t recommend it as the documentation is often way too complex and lacking.

As I said the theme is nice but documentation is lacking. It’s to complex and I feel it’s aimed for professional users. I bought it based on sales and ratings I ended up being a little disappointed.

My rating is not based on this encounter alone, but on design, features, and documentation. Plus the fact that you advertise it as unlimited designs which I don’t think is entirely true. When you advertise like you do everything should be idiot proof, but it’s not.

I’m sorry but my opinion is that most users would be better off buying a specialized theme rather than Avada.

Your support team is great though.

Thanks for the feedback. What we’ve seen in the past year from our customer base, many brand new to WP is why we advertise as we do, it is the feedback we receive. Overall 5 star rating for 4+ years and #1 selling theme during that entire time is why. With that being said, you can’t please everyone, but once you learn the options system, yes you can build virtually any design. Just look at our 22 demos online https://avada.theme-fusion.com/demos/ ... each of those are built with our options system.

The options system is based on globals (Fusion Theme Options) vs individual overrides for both Fusion page options and Fusion Builder. This setup along with the amount of options we offer is what allows you to build professional sites without coding.

We are always improving our documentation because Avada is constantly updated and enhanced/improved. The docs do not have an exact replica of what you see in the backend because it’s not needed. But we are in agreement, our docs can always be better and that is why we constantly add to them. Our goal is to make everything user friendly from the theme, to docs to support to our growing community. Just with 5.0 alone we released 50+ new doc posts (also includes updates to a few older ones) and we are still publishing more.

If there is a certain topic you feel we need to add to the docs, please do let us know and we can add it to the list. We love customer feedback good or bad, we take it very seriously and is a huge part of why we have stayed in our position for 4+ years.

Also you mentioned your support is expired. when did you buy Avada? I ask because the new support paid policy is enforced by Envato, however if you bought before they enforced it we are allowed to do what we want, and we did this: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/grandfathered-support/

Basically if you bought before September 1st 2015, we grandfather you in for free support :) Now take note, it will say expired here on Themeforest because based on their setup it is, but on our site it is not.

Hi, i have an problem with all my pages “Your page content could not be converted. Most likely it was created with an earlier (pre 5.0) version of Avada. To update old content to Avada 5.0 or higher, you must go through conversion.”.

I update from 4.0.3 to 5.0 but not is working. How to fix this?

That simply means you did not run the conversion process, i want you to please update to our latest version 5.0.1 first and then go to Avada > system Status and rerun the migration from there please.

Hi i there are a problem with some codes and it is do not work the problem is

Sound good, when you do move to a hoster, check out BlueHost, WordPress Engine, Host Gator, etc… just keep in mind with hosting, you do get what you pay for. Cheaper “shared” plans do not give you a good level of resource, they will work fine, but it just depends on how fast you want your site to be.

Was about to buy Avada for the new version, and saw that TEC updated itself as well. Is 5.0 compatible with all the new Event Calendar changes or if we bought it now would we need to wait for a compatibility update before we could begin implementation and go live?

Thanks for the quick reply! The church demo is running The Events Calendar v4.3? I’m sure we’ll start using Avada support once we buy a license and begin development. Just want to make sure that before we take the Avada plunge well be able to get to work immediately and not need to wait for a new update.

I have double checked with our developers and we are running 4.2.7 on our church demo, however events calendar plugin developers work in collaboration with our developers so we always stay compatible with them, I have also installed and activated the latest version of ECP 4.3 on my own live site and it works like a charm so you should definitely be good to go :)

Update went fine. I am not sure about your new registration process though. Those 4 boxes I am suppose to tick allows you to know everything I have bought? Download purchases I have made? Could you explain what information is transferred by selecting these?

As of Avada version 5.0 the 3-step Product Registration process has been replaced with a new Token Registration method. This change was precipitated due to Envato soon deprecating their old API in favor of new and improved API management. This new setup allows for a faster, more reliable and secure setup. Token Registration will be required to receive automatic updates, Avada demos and premium plugins (to install and update the Revolution and Layer Sliders) as explained here -> http://bit.ly/1GrzAgY

The fields that you need to tick does not give us access to your personal information other than it only allows us to verify, through Envato’s API, that you have purchased Avada, How many times you have purchased Avada and what your username is so that we know and can match your username to support and whether you have downloaded Avada from your Themeforest account

Hi. After updating Avada to 5.0.1, it says my Envato token is invalid.

I removed existing token and recreated one. But in vain.

How can I solve this issue?

Do any of the sliders offer an option to automatically post/expire a slide? I would like to design a changing marketing banner for the whole year and have it automatically update itself based on the date, but I am not sure if any of the sliders offer this feature.

Im afraid this is not a feature yet in any of our sliders, however revolution slider that we provide with our theme is one of the most popular and advanced sliders and you can talk to their support if they have any option like that though i can’t find any in the options panel right now.

just wanted to chime in here, we did do some tests with this plugin and it worked fine https://wordpress.org/plugins/amp/ ... we did not go into depth but initial test for customers who were asking past. Just need to make sure it is setup properly.

I just upgraded to the latest Avada! I hate it! I use to be able to increase each column automatically up or down (eg. 1/2 to 3/4). Before we were also able to see the layout a lot clearer than this update. I trying to move a column next into a container above another set up columns but it won’t go. It just keeps jumping out of the container. How frustrating!

You can still adjust the width of your columns in the new page builder. In the top left corner of each columns is a square the the column size inside, “1/2” for example. If you click this, it will bring up an interface where you can change the width of the column.

With the new builder, every element has to be inside a container. So instead of moving the elements outside of the container, you would insert a new container above your current one and then drag the elements inside of it.

Ok, great I see that! Whew! But why is it so slooow? What can we do to prevent it from loading so slowly with barely any images on it. They are also optimized.

Is there a bug with the new version that is causing the social icons to not show in the header? The contact info is showing, but I can not get any of the social icons to show. They were fine before the update.

Does Avada work on WordPress Multisite? I mean do I have to install the theme once and can us it on my sites (subfolder)?

Hello!

Yes it works on multisite, our entire demo setup is on a multisite :)

You can install it on the parent site and use it on your subsites, however if each site is different in content you do need one license per site per Envato’s license rules. But for example, if each site is just a different language or sub site of parent site (meaning still same type of content like for a company site that has various branches) then only one is needed. Hi there, I just updated one of my sites to 5.0 and it showed the updated as successful but once I loaded a new page the whole site was down and I couldn’t access anything front end or backend. Thankfully I was able to use my host to revert back to 4. Any suggestions on what might have caused this as Im a bit nervous to try it on any other site.

Hi thanks for your answer! So, my client’s web was made with your theme 1 or 2 years ago by another company. Now, we’re working to improve it! Then, I only need to know what is the path to add a customized icons, in order to add it to flip boxes as awesome fonts (just writen a customized name, as actually we do as “fa-heart”, for example).
