Top bar text color can be changed from Appearance > Theme Options > Menu > Secondary Top Menu

Do you mean dropdown indicator for menu items that have child menus? If yes then we have an option for this under Appearance > Theme Options > Menu > Main Menu

However in order to add any icon to sub menu items you will require to use custom CSS and assign fontawesome icons using pseudo selectors.

Thanks for the reply. But i need RIGHT arrow button from first child menu. If there are items under the first child menu, then i want to show the right indicator so that when i mouse over the child menu, the second level menu should appear on its right

Hello,
I’m on the current version of Avada and I’ve noticed that the site speed has decreased dramatically… especially when creating post and or updating posts… sometimes the page will hang for a good 1 minute before anything happens or a post or page gets updated. I did a google site speed test and my site is scoring a 42/100… with suggestions to “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” and a list of things related to Avada under that topic.
Suggestions?

Thanks you for the info. I applied the patch on Oct 20 but it didn’t seem to make any difference what so ever. It’s just painful… painfully slow!
Most likley this means the patch was not applied, and your server could not write the files to the correct folder. We’re working on an error message that will let you know if that happens, as of right now it will appear it applied but must not have.
We can get it applied though manually if needed, please submit a ticket to our team and reference this comment, they’ll gladly help.

Blog Grid layout actually use CSS to resize the images, If you want to use cropped (same size) images you need to use some other layout we offer such as medium and large (alternate or normal versions)

Hello! I have written in the days before, about a problem with the update. I followed your info, and it seemed that was in place, instead of clicking the edit page returns the error http 505. You should never receive error 505 on page editor, it must be something related to your installation or any other 3rd party plugin. I want you to please go ahead and try disabling all your 3rd party plugin and only work with Fusion Core + Fusion Builder.
Also make sure you are on latest version of WordPress and our theme that is 5.0.2. Double check your system status too and make sure everything is in green as per this doc post : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/special-features/system-status/

Nothing, not even if I disable all plugins except fusion. Among other things, the css with child theme, were not applied.

Also please keep in mind we were not the ones who made the support policy, Envato was. They made support subscription based, and updates always free. That is out of our control, and any major update is going to have users with questions or possible issues, so if you are unhappy with that please send them a note here: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new ... we’ve done all we can do with the Grandfather system in place, beyond that purchase date we need to abide by their policy as we sell here.
So please check that to see if you can submit a ticket on our site, it would allow us to help you and get this sorted.
It’s difficult to diagnose this without being able to login and see, actually it’s near impossible. The 505 error does not make any sense and could not be theme related.
The only advice we can give here is to check your PHP and WordPress version, both of those should be up to date. WP recommends PHP 5.6 now.
Also, you can turn on debug mode to see if there is any information that give us a clue as to what is going on. You can see how to do that here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
We’d be happy to help you, but are limited here in comments. While we understand your position on paid support, it is how Envato set it up In addition our team does work extremely hard on updates to bring everyone new features and more. I own this theme and like most of you love the look and feel of Avada. I like many of you had issues upgrading to 5.XX from 4. Here is the deal, if it fails disable plugins, all of them except Fusion and Avada required ones. You can re enable them again once you are up and running with the new version. This will save you frustrations and downtime just always make a backup before doing anything.
On another note: I had an issue this week with the menus and my membership plugin making the Edge browser non functional on our site, it worked on everything else just not Edge. Even during Avada’s busiest time, they took the time to help me with this issue that in turn was from my security protocols keeping scripts from running outside of my domain. Your tech, Micheal C. is awesome and help us in a way that I can not even begin to imagine, even while you are slammed you still helped out your users issues even when they might not even be directly related to your product.
If you like what you seen in Avada and are thinking twice, don’t just make the purchase you will love the way your site looks and you will have support unlike any other theme out there. I have bought a lot of Plugin and other themes and Avada is awesome with their support, I will be buying this theme again, for sure. I know with confidence that they’ll be there for you if you have any issues, they were for me. They have helped me a few times in the past and they always fix the issue quickly.
The happiest Avada customer for over a year strong now!

1. Since the new update I can’t see the WP insert image size option so I have to upload the exact size that I’m planning on using. There is no option to resize the image if I want something smaller. Why not adding an image size option on image frame shortcode?!
2. New install with most of the features disabled and 1 page style design takes around 5 seconds to load. No extra plugins enabled! With gzip compression on server! If W3 Total Cache is installed with the recommended settings then it drops to 3s. This is unacceptable for 46 requests and 1mb page size. The host is not the issue here as I have other themes loading at blazing speeds. What’s going on?!

1. We do register a few thumbnail sizes that WordPress will use in the image srcset parameter. On most modern browsers, this means that a smaller image will be loaded if possible, allowing for a more responsive image element. This new addition to WordPress means that the image size selector isn’t really required. However, if you would like to see it added, please send your suggestion trough to support@theme-fusion.com with “Avada Suggestion” in the title so that it can be reviewed by our development team.
2. Unfortuately it’s impossible for me to really comment on the speed of the page/site without seeing it and being able to login. Do you have any slider elements on the page? These are generally the heaviest elements you can have and will add quite a bit to the overall loading time of your page.

You can simply disable the Fusion Builder plugin if you wish to use another page builder. In regards to speed, I can’t quote any speed tests as I don’t use the Visual Composer plugin, but I’m very confident that the Fusion Builder will be much faster and more compatible with Avada than the Visual Composer plugin.

You shouldn’t have any issues updating to Avada 5.0.2 from Avada 4.0.3. When you process the update, a conversion will run and migrate all of your old shortcodes to the new builder format. Avada 5.0 introduced a lot of new features and improvements. Please be sure to read this article before updating so that you’re aware of the important changes:

Hi, how do I edit the “Tag” page. If I click on a tag for a blog post and it sends me to a page with all the blogs with that associated tag, there is a main header image that I’m trying to get rid of. Any thoughts? I can’t “Edit Page” as it only gives me the option to “Edit Tag”

Tags and things like Categories are called “archive” pages that are automatically created by WordPress, they are not individual pages you can edit.
If you have a header image on there, then it’s coming from most likely theme options since it is a global setting. Currently there are not individual options to customize them, they will pull from theme options.
What you can do is use custom CSS to target it and hide the image, our support team can help you with that. Just mention this comment on themeforest and submit a new ticket for us.

Hello, I want to use Avada classic shop without to selling products. Site will be only for presenting products not to sell. Is that ok and simple in this demo to disable cart, add to cart, payment, ec. Or is it better to use other demo. Thank you

In theory yes, you would just not set a price for each product, if no price is set then there is no ability to add it to the cart. The top cart icon can be disabled in theme options also.
And you could use any demo you want for this really, instead of the classic shop demo, you can use a different one and for your products use our portfolio element, or use portfolio with classic shop
That’s the beauty of Avada, anything you see on a demo can be used.

But yes we expand our demo library constantly, we have 22 now and have another 15 in the works or so. In addition, our demos are more thought out, more finished would be a good way to describe them. They are all professionally designed by known designers, catered to a specific industry and setup all through our advanced options system. So a lot more goes into our demos than others, we prefer quality over quantity, yet at the same time we fully understand customers want a broader selection, for which we have in the works

I just updated to Avada 5 and now my portfolio page does not show all the categories. I have it set to show several categories but it only shows the categories for the first 12 photos. The categories will pop up if I show more photos. How can I get all the categories to display?

That simply means you are using Infinite Scroll as your pagination, please remove the infinite scroll as pagination. This can be done from Theme Options > Portfolio > Portfolio Pagination.
Also, portfolio categories will only appear for the posts that loads on front end, if you select a lower amount and not all post categories are covered in the no. of posts selected they wont simply appear.

please can you give me some clarity on the new token process. I am very confused. When installing avada 5. Do I have to generate 1 token for my user account and use it for all the licenses I purchase, or for every license I purchase, do I generate a new token? Thanks Matt

You have to create a new token for each of your Avada purchase using the token registration system and use that unique token to register each license.
