2. We use default search for WooCommerce, it searches the product for you however if you are looking to achieve advanced product search you can use any add ons from woocommerce such as woo product search.

Hi, I disabled the ‘Fusion Builder’ plugin so that I can use ‘Visual Composer’ instead. Is there a way to disable the nag screen in my dashboard that keeps asking me to enable Fusion Builder? Thanks.

If you have disabled the Fusion Builder plugin you should not receive the notification, however you can disable the fusion builder for all your post types by going to Fusion Builder > Settings

Hello,
I have imported Avada Classic Shop Demo but I am facing some problems.
Pages are working as they are shown in the demo but Category and Tags Pages layout is not displaying as it have to be shown.

Hi, I upgraded from 3.9.1 to 5.0.2 and now the site is completely messed up. The logo has changed to the Avada logo and it seems I’ve lost all my shortcode settings. I have tried manually retriggering the conversion again ‘Rerun shortcode Migration from version 3.8.5 to version 5.0 manually.’, but this has’nt helped. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have looked on forums and a lot of people have this problem and say it’s not fixable. This is massively disappointing and could cost me a lot of time an effort to get things back to normal, so if anyone can help?
And I can’t raise a ticket as my support has expired, so I was just hoping for a bit of guidance before I look into other options.

Firstly to clarify, Envato introduced paid support back in September 2015, we as theme authors had zero control or influence over this initiative. In fact, in response to paid support by Envato, we (ThemeFusion) decided to Grandfather in any customer that purchased Avada prior to the 1st of September 2015, for hands on support without the need to renew/extend support for that license. Now, regarding updating to Avada 5.0+ and the migration process, this does not even touch your theme settings. If you have issues with that is most likely the update instructions were followed 100%. It is imperative that the update instructions be followed with out deviation to ensure the process runs smoothly.
We have thousands of Avada customers that have updated without any issues. Please check and make sure that you followed these update instructions very carefully, this is very important to ensure you don’t experience any issues

Hi, thanks very much for taking the time to get back to me. I can assure you I did follow the upgrade instructions very, very carefully, which is why I was surprised when this happened. Anyway. I have sent a support ticket so hopefully we can resolve this soon. I appreciate you allowing me to do this. And I should add, it’s a great theme, and generally speaking I have no problems with it, so perhaps it’s just a one off with this new version. Thanks, Giles

As a second question, one I haven’t been able to work out from your site and sales pages; what is the difference (in practical terms that a non-techie will understand) between the treatment of custom posts in the new avada compared to the old? In the old, we would create custom post types in wp, add custom taxonomies in wp, create custom templates to show them in both archive and single formats. Then, we would have control over appearance on a per-post-type and per-taxonomy basis. What is different now?

Looking at a site that currently runs a version of avada from about 4-5 months ago, I have been chatting with my friend Martin about various issues. Apparently he had problems with upgrading to V5 because the site is more or less entirely custom post and custom taxonomy based, with tons of customised templates in a child setup. Luckily, when he did the update it was on a spare domain, so it didn’t cause genuine problems. However, we understand that your standard upgrade process isn’t going to be helpful due to the site setup.
So, I was wondering…. If someone sets up a clean install of the latest avada, not an upgrade, is it then possible to import pages and posts from an older version? Then we would only have to rebuild the custom templates.
It occurred to me that rebuilding the templates from scratch, but simply transferring the data, might be a lot easier than trying to do an upgrade over an existing setup. Any thoughts on this?
Can (standard) pages be imported from the old site without issues? I assume they would get ‘updated’ during import? Similarly, I’m guessing the same would apply for posts.

I can’t comment on Martin’s custom website without having actually inspected it, however, if it is extensively customized as described and providing compliant WordPress coding practices were observed and/or Avada Hooks and filters utilized -> http://bit.ly/1l2r8gW – updating the theme should be fine
Regarding your question about the method of update, we do not recommend that you export and then reimport pages/posts via WordPress. We 100% recommend that you update the installation using our prescribed instructions;p We would also recommend that if you prefer, you can set up and Staging domain with a carbon copy of the live site and then dry run the update on the Staging site at first.
When it comes to updating, please check and make sure that you follow these update instructions carefully, this is very important to ensure you don’t experience any issues

The Avada package downloadable from Themeforest is virus free and so is the Avada theme. Malware can affect your installation through a wide variety of sources, not withstanding, 3rd party plugins, poor hosting security, insecure log in credential for WordPress and/or FTP etc and the list goes on.
We suggest that you contact your hosting provider to assist you in cleaning this up and/or using a plugin like Wordfence (one of many available) to clean up your installation -> http://bit.ly/2eXZsIH

Bug Report : Since 5.0.2 having an image frame as first element of a post make the excerpt show the url, even with the “strip HTML” option activated. User JumpmanLane has already acknowledged the issue 9 days ago. Example here: https://www.cadeaux-pourris.com/blog/ Pre 5.0.2 posts seem unaffected.

Go to Avada > Support tab and look at he bottom of the page for the Avada Patcher tool. There is a patch out to fix this issue

From your experience with buyers, can you please confirm if the Avada theme has been used with the Calculated Fields Form plugin and one of the Directory plugins that are available out there?
No conflicts with the theme if I decide to integrate these plugins?

Unfortunately we’ve not tested that ourselves so cannot guarantee it, however it should be fine.
I did search our ticket system for those keywords and nothing came up, which is a good sign, but also not conclusive.
If an issue does arise, we ask that you submit a ticket to our site so we can check it out and see if we can resolve it or if it’s an issue in the plugin itself, in which case we will let the plugin author know. A majority of the time it is something minor that can be changed.

Hello. Please, what is the difference between “Show Bar and Content” to “Show Content Only” option?.
In theme options I selected “Show Content Only”, I change the background to transparent but still appears a white background instead of transparent. I’m using this function wrong ?. In the options on the page itself is selected as “Default”.

Sorry. My mistake was to believe that the background that was selected was for the whole page but only for the “Main Content Area” (in “Fusion Page Options”). But I want to put a different background to each page. It’s possible?

Hi there,
2 days ago I upgraded the Avada theme from 4.0.3 to 5.0.2. Since doing this all of my posts that use the Fusion Post Slider “Post Slider With Attachments” fusion_postslider layout=”attachments” excerpt=”35” category=”” limit=”50” lightbox=”no” class=”” id=”” / no longer display the thumbnails of the other attached images below the main pane as they did before the update. They are also displaying the “Featured Image” of the post in the slider which they didn’t before.
Please can you advise as to what I need to do to sort these things out? Would really like to get the thumbnails back and also not display the “Featured Image” in the slider.

Hi i have updated to version 5, now the icons in the flip boxes are not showing.
