Easy Feature Request:
I love using image backgrounds in page header with transparent navigation. However, it only applies the “transparent light” class to the div.
Several of my background images are pretty light, so this default light styling doesn’t work well. I know I could overwrite all the applicable element’s CSS in the custom CSS for the page, but between borders, nav text, logo, hamburger icon, etc. it would be SOOO much easier if I could just select the “transparent dark-slide” class for the div.
Would be awesome to have a select for dark/light in the header options for the page!

Not without custom css – but you could make a regular page row (which allows for color overlays) function as the page header area as the corporate demo shows themenectar.com/demo/salient-corporate
yup but then you lose the scroll effect (parallax) and the header text effects

1. Right now this would require modding unfortunately – but i’ve noted the idea for the wishlist
2. Could you provide an example of what you’re referring to through a screenshot mockup or another site that has this so I can better uderstand?

As of now this would require some custom development since even if you moved the borders inwards with css the sizing would need to be adjusted and the header calculations would also need to be changed

I am using the logo centered menu with menu on each side. when the screen width gets down to 1024 the menu items create a new row/overlap. It appears to switch to mobile menu at 1000px
Is there an east way to have it drop to mobile menu at 1024 instead?

The easiest way to fix this would be to use css to shrink the size of your nav items slightly in that viewport range – if you could shae your URL i’d be glad to provide an example

I am using Zephyr material design theme on my website (around 50 pages), i want to switch to Salient theme as it seems more robust.
Zephyr also includes Visual Composer which i have used to create to all my pages, can i switch to Salient without breaking things?
Actually, my website is in product and generate good number of leads, and i do not want to switch if it’ll break the site.

Hey amkillshot, if the theme has custom visual composer elements that are theme specific, they will not longer function in Salient – also if you’re using custom post types in the theme it’s possible the content wouldn’t come over perfectly. Without seeing your actual site it’s hard to say though

If I only have one row of portfolio items after filtering, then attempt to select another filter, the dropdown disappears back to the top once the mouse moves passed the height of the first row of items. Is there any way to manually fix this?

What browser are you having this issue on? So far I can’t get the filter dropdown to do this when switching between filters

I’m using Chrome. The issue arises when a filter only shows one or two rows. For example, if you filter Atlanta then CC…only one row falls in this category. From there if you attempt to filter again, and move your mouse beyond the height of that row, the dropdown disappears back up. In other words, if you try to filter “Denver” or “Grand Rapids”, you cannot.

It seems you’ve set it up for three columns but added more than 3 parent nav items. CAMISETAS, JAQUETA / MOLETOM and SHORTS / CALÇA should be the only direct children and each of those should contain a list of relevant nav items

1. Do you already have the search field code you’re trying to place? If so you could add that in a visual composer row which could be used as a header section
2. You’d need to supply the code for this – there’s nothing built in the theme itself for a custom form system like that
3. Yes, you can have subpages of parent pages

When using the logo shrink-on-scroll feature, it works just ok on Chrome and it is terribly jerky on safari. I have looked through the transitions, and everything seems to be covered as far as compatibility goes.
