Just noticed another bug after updating to 8.0 and now 8.1. On the carousel module when having more than one option (example: Todays deals, Recently viewed) when you click to display arrows (none) it shows the arrows out of place and when you choose the option to show arrows in the (top) or (bottom) positions the arrows disappear and are not present. A fix is much appreciated cheers!

Hi again DA, i wanna propose something in your next update. Now most of the product pages in other themes not only opencart but also in other platforms have the extra thumb images at the left side and not under the main image. Is it possible to take it into consideration? I have read many pages here in comments and i see some other people ask it. Thanks again

Hi, yes you can disable most functions to run it in catalog more and you should be able to have Affiliate links, those aren’t related to the theme and they don’t have catalog options.

Hi guys, as other people have reported after getting 2.81, I also have the same problem, when an item is added to cart on mobile version, the pop-up confirmation is no longer centred half of the box is off screen to the left, I don’t have any support left, but as other people have mentioned it, it must be some issue that’s not isolated to one store only. I Don’t really fancy buying support just for one little issue like this, as i can probably fix it with the custom CSS later, but just thought I’d let you know.
To the user “pesowon” who also had the same problem as me, I found a custom CSS fix after playing around.

When i open product page and click on ‘Write A Review’ link then it open the review tab below but it does not scroll a bit down so most of the customer get confused. if we can scroll a bit down so customer will be able to view review tab then it will work perfect.

Hi, Thanks for the 2.8.1 update. I can see “Compact Header” in the demo store but it’s absent in the downloaded version. Is it not available for 1.5.x or is it yet to come? Also, can you please share a screenshot of how it will look like?
Hi, that is still under development and we don’t have screens with the completed stage unfortunately. It will be available for all OC versions and will probably come in one of our near future updates, along with some new skins/demos.

Hi, with the new update on my main menu the very last top level category description doe not show any formatting for “bold” etc.
In the opencart back end it shows formatted bold text in places but wont show bold on front end.

The category is scoot / skate / toys it is the last main top level category but if you view back end screenshot the description has some bold formatting, but on the front end screenshot nothing appears?

I see that, well those description fonts are overwritten form the admin in Journal > Settings > Category Page > General > Description Font. We did this to allow you to use more font options from the admin interface and not rely on code.
Best way to address that is to wrap the text you need styled differently in a H3 and then style it accordingly from the H3 option in the category description settings.

ok, another thing I notice, the space between the last sentence of text and product compare bar? Which setting now adjusts this?
That option appears to be missing. There is a Description Padding option but adds spacing equally around all sides. We will add individual padding options for top – right – bottom – left in our next update coming very soon and just add some padding in bottom.

Hi, not sure what you mean with the slider link, please send more details. Make sure the sticky menu on phone is enabled in Journal >Settings > Header > Menus > Main Menu > Mobile Menu > Sticky Menu/Cart on Phone. Turn the option off and on again, you may just have a cache issue. It’s working fine on our end, please see Demo 1 on your phone or desktop.

The entire carousel module is being changed in 2.8.2 so that should be addressed as well.

I have question after i update the JournalTheme v.2.8.1 on products page when you try to Add Cart button the pop-up notification is not center in the mobile screen. Hi, I just want you to know, that when you go Settings> Product Page and Save I’ve got this message in browser (Firefox and Chrome):

I also want you to know, that on Product page, Additional Images, when is activated Carousel Mode and Carousel Autoplay on Firefox, this settings give the images strange behavior – strange lines on waves (with 5-6 additional images on product page).
Additional Images on Product page work fine with these settings and Chrome.

Hello after updating to journal 2.8 images are not showing up in the menu via firefox and new item text does not appear in menu in google chrome but simply shows the circle. Could be other bugs as well please fix as we are updating to live sites. Thanks

Had to disable JS minification to restore functionality.
Carousels from previous versions are not working. Product gallery feature is not working, neither is cloud zoom on product pages.
It has been 3 hours since I have raised a ticket expecting a reply and I am still awake at 1 AM here restoring previous backup.
C’mon guys was expecting better than this from the devs of bestseller theme.

Funny how you assume we’re from the same time zone. You’re up at 1 AM but did you ever think it may be 5 AM (or PM) in our time zone or that we may have other tickets in front of yours that need the same attention? Just saying…
With that said, the minify issue is coming from the theme, you may have a javascript error on your page caused by some other script or mod which is probably not compatible with the current theme version (if it wasn’t there before).
Regarding the carousels, etc. they happen in older Opencart 1.5 versions (like yours) and we are releasing another update (2.8.1) tonight so stay tuned for that and they will be fixed, we’re working on this through the night.
Standard support reply from other authors on Themeforest is actually 2-3 days but we stood by our policy of 24h response time for years and over 24.000 tickets. You should not expect a reply within 3 hours because we deal with many thousands of tickets and all are answered in the order they are received, but all within 24h. If you happen to file a ticket when we are nearing the end of the queue you may get a reply in 10 min or 1 hour but please allow for up to 24h. Your ticket will be addressed when it comes up in queue, after all others in front of you are dealt with.

Anyways, on the minification part, it is stil there after updating to 2.8.1. This error was not there prior to updating to 2.8.0. And I have not installed any new modules in several weeks.
The carousel issue seems to have been fixed with the update. However, cloud-zoom is not working on product pages. And clicking on a product image is opening the image URL directly, without any gallery options, as previously used to happen. I am not sure what I have missed, since Cloud Zoom, Carousel & Popup Image all are enabled in Settings > Product Page.

Hi, you need to disable the Journal Push Options from Journal > Settings > Product Page > Product Details > Product Options > Push Options.
