Please note that this page is created automatically by the Events Calendar plugin and can be edited in Theme Settings – General – Content tab. Here you can choose settings that will be applied for your events page like Bottom Sidebar Layout by Default, Heading Background Image by Default and choose the Right Sidebar for the Events Calendar Layout Type.

In order to display two different calendars I can recommend you to create events with different categories. The matter is that each category has a unique URL (e.g. [yoursite]/events/category/category-name/month) and you can send visitors directly to the month view (or any view for that matter) for that specific category.

Got it. But how can I put this calendar on my page? Because the main one I got simply the URL that is default. This one I need to put inside a different page… How can I do that?

Also, is there a way to make the events not clickable? I mean, I don’t want people to see any details as location and organizer. I just want to show who’s getting older each day.

I was doing it by table, just simply putting a column for the day and one for the name. But the thing is that I want the table to show the current day or month and hide the others… And this will change as the days go by. Just as the calendar does… That’s why I need the calendar to work haha.

To add the calendar to the page you can use the [tribe_events] shortcode like [tribe_events view=”list” category=”test”]. Please Note that the [tribe_events] shortcode is only available within Events Calendar Pro plugin version.

Making events not clickable isn’t presupposed by the Events Calendar plugin functionality and requires some custom coding. I can recommend you to add the custom CSS code below to Theme Settings – Elements – Custom codes tab:

Sure, the Events Calendar Pro plugin isn’t required for the theme functioning, there is no need to install it in the case you don’t need its functionality.

Concerning the third-party plugins – in fact we haven’t tested mentioned plugins compatibility with the theme, that’s why can’t guarantee it. Though we can’t deny that such plugins might work properly with our My Religion theme. Appreciate your understanding.

Excuse us for a delayed response – a part of our team was on a short New Year vacation, this is why it took longer to respond than it usually does. As to your question – the theme comes with a custom cmsmasters composer plugin – it is rather flexible and thousands of customers love it. The theme does not support third-party composer plugins like the one from wpbakery. Still, many people come back to purchase a second or third theme with our composer. Also My Religion theme comes with a custom cmsmasters Donations plugin.

Lets review all of them.

1. To remove the unneeded data from the Sermons shortcode please uncheck the boxes in Metadata settings. To remove this data from the open sermon please proceed to Theme Settings – Single Posts – Sermons and uncheck relevant options.

2. For superior performance on Retina displays, logo image is added in two sizes. It is recommended that you add an image for Retina logo twice larger than your default logo.

3. We have not received any similar reports so far, that’s why we would appreciate if you submitted us a ticket so that we could take a look at the issue from your end – submit now. Just please make sure to add all the needed credentials to your ticket.

4. In fact the mentioned issue can’t be fixed from our end as our demo-site functions properly as far as hundreds of sites made by our customers with the help of the theme so the problem you have isn’t caused by the theme functioning. All the theme files are optimized already and the issue you have is most likely connected with your hosting provider or third-party plugins you activated. We kindly advise you to contact your hosting provider to figure out what can be done to make site loading faster (perhaps, to change hosting plan or even provider). As I’ve mentioned previously, theme files are already optimized and alas nothing else can be done with theme code to speed up the uploading. Appreciate your understanding.

5. In fact Donation button links to the donation page by default. If you need to set the Donations page with the form like on our demo please proceed to Settings -> Donations and choose the Donations Submit Form Page from the drop-down list. To edit the Donations page please proceed to Settings -> Donations -> Form and choose all needed settings.

6. Please be sure that you are using the latest theme version 1.0.4. To update the theme just download the newest archive from the Themeforest, unzip it and upload the new theme version on your server (please make sure there are no nested folders). You can rename the theme you used previously (for example, adding “-old” after the theme name) – in this way the old theme will be backuped on your server. Besides there is a need to update Content composer plugin included to the theme. Please delete the previous plugin version and install the new one from the my-religion\framework\admin\inc\plugins folder. It should be helpful.

Is it possible to change the authors name on the sermons section? I mean, to put a whatever name I want about the author of that sermon… The thing is that in my church we have lots of writers and I wish I could write their name as the speaker or the author.

The matter is that “Sermons” is a custom post type and at every post type posts are posted using the username of the one who created the post, so that afterwards you can see user archives.

The solution I can suggest is to add different users with needed usernames and post the posts using appropriate user. Another solution is to disable author at the Sermons Shortcode Settings, and add the information about the speaker at the Sermon page simply as a content. Appreciate your understanding.

To remove the Cart icon you can simply disable the WooCommerce plugin.

Concerning the Google Maps – the matter is that a while ago Google changed the way Google Maps should function and now API key is required (it wasn’t required previously). Please add your key in Theme Settings – Elements – Custom codes tab. The key can be generated here. Here is a video instruction so that you can see how the key should be generated. Please be sure that you activated the Google Maps JavaScript API and Google Maps Geocoding API.

To make the size of the contact forms fonts bigger there is a need to add custom css code. Could you please send us a request here and our support team will gladly help you.

Usually such the problem occurs because of server restrictions and only hosting provider can remove them. As a possible solution we’d advise you to upload plugins manually via FTP. All theme plugins are located in the theme archive, here’s the path: /my-religion/framework/admin/inc/plugins folder.
