I realize I am out of support but I think the answer to this question would be important to many people.
The search results page in the demo returns a messy description. For example searching for “portfolio” returns “0 Card Mockup clean case 43 Slider Portfolio without title 0 Stationery Mockups Extended 20 Video Media Classic Case 0 Vintage Wines 23 Feature Slider 32 One Page Style 21 Vertical Gallery sticky sidebar 7 Video HTML5 simple case 9 Classic Designs with a slider media 0 Advanced Style header below 4 Featured Image classic style”.
Is there a way to return a more appropriate search result?

Thanks for your message and for your feedback! This happens because of the shortcodes in the VC. I think that you can easily have the content you need in the search results if you fill the excerpt field.

Hello, I have a question about loading images in portfolio gallery. Usually I have portfolio items with over 200 images and they aren’t displayed until everything is loaded – that can take a lot of time on low bandwidth connections. Is there any way to show image miniatures as they loads, without waiting for everything to load up?

I’m trying to use the blog layout into a custom template file. I’ve copied the content of the index.php page and changed the loops to use my own query. The result is not reflecting the blog settings of the theme, but shows only each post with default formatting. Please let me know what I need to achieve my result.

I cannot verify any issue in Osmosis in almost 2500 installations and I am pretty sure that it is not a theme related issue in order to help you here. Such issues (uploads) are mainly related with the server settings (maybe memory issues). The guys in the Support Forum can check your installation and guide you but it seems that your support is expired (even if you just installed Osmosis?). Anyway, can you use the email form in our profile?

I installed it one year ago, but I have a time to update my website. But i don’t know why, when I upload it, It give me error message, HTTP Error. So I try to clean my web with uninstall everything include wordpress and database, I want to build a brand new from zero again.

Is there a way to force it to use https instead ? My website runs over https and I’d like every external links to be secured. These schema.org types are the only remaining http links.

Hi, I am trying to set up portfolio pagination, but it’s not working. I have changed portfolio slug to “gallery”, so my portfolio address is site.com/gallery. When I am trying to go to next page by clicking “2” it goes to site.com/gallery/page/2 and displays Error 404. What can be wrong?

Hi! I am not able to confirm such an issue in Osmosis. Save changes on permalinks screen is enough when you change your portfolio slug. If you use our support forum, the guys will check your installation. It probably deals with your installation.

I found a mistake – I have changed portfolio slug to “gallery” and also named one of my sites Gallery – that’s where the mistake was. When I changed page name to something else everything started to work properly. Anyway, thanks for help!
There is a specific instruction for this where you set the portfolio slug. This must be unique. Anyway, we are happy you sorted it out

One of our sites was automatically upgraded to the latest version of the Osmosis theme – this caused the site to have the following error:
Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a[href*=#
This caused the site to display only the menu and slider – no content on any of the pages. We used the following page to temporarily fix the issue:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-45-uncaught-error-syntax-error-unrecognized-expression-ahref/The issue seems to be that after the upgrade of either the theme or WP, it was calling the wrong jquery instance.
This is just a note so you guys are aware of the issue. Thanks!

Thanks for your message and for your feedback! However, please allow me to clarify a couple of things that you are probably missing
Firstly, the latest Osmosis version 3.3 is fully compatible with the latest WP 4.7 and of course with the WP 4.5. So, I suppose that you are outdated. The WP automatically upgraded (there is no chance to get a theme update automatically without a prompt message) and you received this error because of the outdated theme. It is always recommended to update the theme and its required plugins before you update the WP.

Can I have two sidebars on a page? One sidebar on the left, middle column page content and a sidebar on the right?

You cannot have this as a predefined layout but you can add widgets left and right in columns with the Widgetized element via the VC. As predefined layout you can have left or right sidebar.

I am having problems with my logo in the header. It is displaying the blue box with the question mark. The image loads in WP uploads and under “header options.” I have verified that the image is in the folder through cPanel where it is suppose to pull from.
I have updated to the latest theme and WP. I have also updated all plugins, and cleared the caches to make sure it wasn’t something there.
I was wondering what else to try or where to look. I have searched these comments and elsewhere but have found nothing with a similar problem.
Any help would be appreciated!

I just simply love this theme. Will typekit be implemented in the next update? Do let us know roughly when. Can’t wait to check it out.
I have a few suggestions to make it even more awesome.
1. The ability to turn off stuff like bb press and woocommerce etc. So it doesnt show in the options and not bloat with scripts unnecessarily.
2. An option for header logos to be centered and sticky would be awesome.
3. A drag and drop option to design post templates

Thanks for using Osmosis and for your kind words! Our developer is working the implementation of the typekit fonts for our themes, not just for Osmosis. However, we are not able to estimate the time for this.
1. I am not sure if we can do something with the options. On the other hand, theme does not use the WooCommerce CSS,JS when you disable the plugin.
2. The option for the centered logo is already available http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis-corporate-v3/ , we will check the sticky option.
3. I think that it is unnecessary as you can use all the handcrafted Osmosis elements via the VC to create the layout you wish.
