My homepage is not loading. I get an error that your page content could not be converted etc. I have gone through the conversion multiple times and it still doesnt work. The website broke and I had to restore it.
Please advise on how to get this fixed?
Also there is a new update for the theme, when I try to update it I get the following error:

You should have no issues with conversion as far as you don’t have any broken shortcodes on the page already, however regarding the issue with update i want you to please go ahead and try to update using our FTP method as mentioned here : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/ftp-installation/

How do I know if there are shortcodes broken? I have used the demo and just replaced images and text. Is there a way to find these broken shortcodes?

Hi, is there a guide or tutorial available to show me how to get the drop down menu to look the way you have it on your Classic Shop under Categories? I’m able to get static images on the drop down menu, but they are not aligned correctly, even though all 4 spaces use the exact same coding, and they can not grow like yours grows. https://avada.theme-fusion.com/classic-shop vs. http://a26.a76.myftpupload.com/

hi,, i’ve been wondering about the performance with this theme, i already use the version 4 of avada. i have quite a lot of complex pages (the structure, i mean), and around 30 ~ 40 posts in my web. and since my posts increase over time, the web is getting slower and slower (like heavier and sometime shows database query error because it took too much time). i’ve checked the database and a table which i don’t remember the name had around 10K rows, then i researched about this table and it’s the data structure for the pages and posts. i wonder if every other buyer of avada experienced this, or is this a flaw in wordpress engine.
i’m thinking on upgrading to Avada v.5 but i’ll be asking first beforehand to avoid even more problem when upgrading. will the performance increased? like query time or something? or not? if not, is there any advice on how to increase my site speed? like use some kind of plugin?
fyi, i don’t use shared hosting, i use quite decent VPS, wordpress version is 4.6.1. avada version is 4.0.3. there are only a couple of plugins that i used, like for contact us and language, but i’ve never experienced any slowdown issue with these plugins with avada before my pages and posts grew in numbers.
overall avada is a great theme, i really like the fusion builder, but it’s like a double edge sword, i made more complex layout, and it might slow down my system. hahaha.

There is an option that will use the database to cache dynamic CSS files. This shouldn’t cause a database issue for a site with only 30-40 posts, but you can check if that option is enabled and disable it if so. This can be found in Theme Options > Dynamic CSS > http://prntscr.com/diajrn

Hey. Where is the Avada/assets/images/shadow-bottom.png image used? Google fetch marks it as error, and Google crawl as a non-existent page..

It’s located here: http://d.pr/i/Ddor ... and is a shadow for one of the elements, and it is used for the page title bar. There is a top one and bottom one. It should not be marked as an error though, if it was then the “shadow-top.png” would be as well. Non-existent page means you are not using page title bar on that page.
If you do not use the page title bar, you can remove it.

Hello,
after updating to WP 4.7 I have a blank page after logging in on admin page. URL shown: mydomain.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F
First I restored a backup to WP 4.6.1 and the site again worked properly, after that I again updated to WP 4.7, than the blank page appeared again on admin area.
First I used Avada 5.0.3, today I updated (via FTP) to latest 5.0.5, but the problem still appears.
It is a live site so I will restore to WP 4.6.1 but pls. note there ARE problems with theme and WP 4.7

After reading the previous post of Gazza_Rad I decided to try to remove W3TC from my installation via FTP. I found that it caused the problem, the WP database upgrade was not able to be completed! Since both Avada and W3TC are well known and respected products, I hope both dev teams would work on a solution… Best

Yes they are, and they should work without issue as we have thousands of users who use it.
Are you up to date with W3TC? They stopped development on it for awhile then finally released a new version.
Also, it is a very advanced plugin, the configurations are all dependent on your own server and setup, which means one size does not fit all, so it could just be a configuration item that needs changed.

Hi Guys, thank you for the awesome theme! Question: I upgraded to the 5.0.5 version but the theme repeatedly wants to perform the two initial upgrades to the extent that I can’t work on my site because it keeps doing it over and over again. May I ask how to fix this?

Can i add videobackgrounds in the headers?

That is not a possibility, however what you can do is simply assign a slider to your page with video background and then make your header transparent so it looks like its set in the header.
An example can be seen here : https://avada.theme-fusion.com/fusion-slider-full-screen/
The header is white here at the moment but it can be set to transparent and the height of slider can also be reduced.

We are moving away from using sliders/carousels on our websites.
Do any of the demos have headers with image backgrounds with large text and buttons that are configured with the fusion builder?
I want to learn how to use the fusion builder to place text and images in certain positions.
Any help would be most appreciated.

You can use our Container Element and assign a background image to it, after the image is assigned you can place a text bock inside the container and that should give you the desired result.

Hi, I have a quick question, I know my support ran out but the question I have is relatively easy and I was hoping you would be nice enough to answer? I have the Fusion Slider on my website and the images are not in the Parallax container. I am wondering if the image can be alined to the bottom of the container so that you always see the top of the image no matter what size the page is instead of having the image centered. I can’t seem to find that setting so I don’t know if it is a slider setting or a line of custom CSS. Thank you very much!

Theme Fusion comments are mainly for presale questions and not actual support. However, there’s not a setting to change the position of the Fusion Slider’s image. However, if you add the image to a Container element as a background, you’ll be able to set the image’s position.
Note that the background image will also have some clipping as the container’s shape varies from the image’s aspect ratio. The greater the difference, the more clipping will occur. You can read more about the “why” behind that here > http://bit.ly/2hyNZ1N

1. We need the output of random pictures in the footer winget 2. The grid output of a series of photos on the page (As in the demo about the hotel, but there in the footer photos are taken from the pages of records.) In your demo, it seems that the photos are added one at a time in the hands of each block, and do not undertake series.

There’s not currently a feature in Avada where images are randomized before they’re displayed. You can choose what categories to include in your gallery when using the Portfolio element as a gallery. You can see that gallery type demod here > https://avada.theme-fusion.com/3-column/
When adding a gallery this way, the images in the the grid are the featured image of the portfolio post. Those images can be clicked and will direct the user to a post where more information about the image can be shared.

For the technology theme, a. Can one change the native theme colour? The olive-ish green is nice, but i’d like to go for a dark grey/ black background color with bright font/ headers. Is this doable? b. The technology theme doesn’t have drop down options in the menu or new pages. Just wanted to confirm if one can add pages to this theme and add them in the drop down menus from parent tabs. Could you please share images of how the pages would look and what design options are available? c. If at some point I switch over to the classic theme, what would be the best way in doing so without affecting the search engine rankings or messing up the site navigaiton?

To answer your questions:
- Yes you can, this is done in the Theme Options
- You can easily create a drop down menu. The Technology demo does not have this because it is a one page demo, meaning that when you click on a menu item you will scroll down to that specific anchor point on that one page. - Well, if you decide to change the menu structure or hierarchy this will affect your Google SEO and your site in the SERP’s. Changing anything on your site will have an affect. How much of an effect will depend on what os changed. Just changing the sites styling etc will not have a negative impact

once i disable it i get back the correct theme option yesterday after disabling it it clears all my theme settings

Curious… have a featured image AND an embedded video on blog posts. I’d rather just the featured image appear on Blog Element, then within the blog post, replace the featured image with the video. How would you make it so the blog element does not display both as a slider?

If you have embedded the video within the post then you can disable the featured image for single posts by going to -> Theme Options >> Blog >> Blog Single Post >> Featured Image / Video on Single Blog Post
