You can do this using a plugin such as s2 Members.
You can attach pictures using a BuddyPress extension such as rtMedia – however I’m not sure if this works with the private messages. You can install BuddyPress for free on any site and test this for yourself or speak with the plugin developers.

Hello, I am wondering if we can add RSVP ( YES/NO) to events? I saw the add-ons but I am looking this very specific function that will display on the events page. I tried some other RSVP plugins but they require me to import the attendee list. I don’t want to do this in a big community for every event. Please let me know your solution. Thank you

The theme is great, but in the documentation it is not explained how to change the color of one of the items in the main menu. In the demo, the login and register buttons are a bit darker than the rest, but how to accomplish that it is not explained in the documentation, where it clearly explains how to add the icons. Would it be possible to update documentation to explain how to change the color of one of the menu items? Thanks!

There are two reasons why this is not included in the documentation.
The first is, it’s just not practical to include information on how to change the colour of every single element on the theme. Just think about how many things you could change the colour for – how could any documentation include all that. All theme colours can easily be changed from Theme Options > Styling.
The second reason is there isn’t actually an option to change this, this is just a dark overlay over the main header, you can change this colour using CSS. If you want more help on this you’ll need to renew your support and open a support ticket at https://ghostpool.ticksy.com

I was trying to log following problem with the theme: If header height desktop > header height scrolling, then the logo of scrolling header is not vertically centered anymore (it sticks to top instead of being vertically centered). Using Socialize 2.19.1 on WP 4.7, height desktop was set to 80px while scrolling was 50px.

Your ad says the theme can “also provide an Advertisement element that allows users to insert ads anywhere within your content or sidebar”. Can we add ads (e.g Google adSense or whatever ads) to a set spot of loop pages, say after or before the 1st, 3rd and 5th post in a category loop or a search result page?
Is the header menu (or main menu) sticky and sticky on both desktop and mobile?

In order to set up an ad in the post loop you would need to edit the theme code, or use a plugin that does this.
The header menu is not sticky on mobile devices.
I found Socialize from my classmate. He was using this theme before switching to another one for some incompatibility issue with other components in his site. Among all the themes he showed me, Socialize seems one that will work for my website idea, but I want to make sure I can really add ads to category loops and search result pages (inside the loop, not at the top or the bottom of the page) before making the purchase ‘cause that’s important for my site. I’m wondering if you can suggest a couple plugins that will work with Socialize to achieve that? And i’ll ask my classmate to test them out for me. Thanks
I’ve not tested any so I can’t recommend any particular one unfortunately. What I can say is that any of the plugins should work but you’ll probably need to edit the theme code to insert the plugin tag.

Based on the layout on the Demo, i am worrying that the websites will look void if I customize the theme for each of my requirements.

The homepage layouts seen on the demo are the only one’s that come with the theme as standard, but the theme uses the Visual Composer page builder so it’s super easy to customize the layout to make your own community page. You can add, edit and delete any of the elements on the homepage with a click of a button.

1) I would imagine so. This depends on the directory plugin, if it allows you to add listings to the homepage then this should work with the theme.
2) Yes absolutely.
3) I’m not sure how a theme would be optimized for Adsense, but it certainly has ad spaces and works with Adsense.
4) Yes, you can change any page to use three, two or one column.

The theme only has a layout option to add two sidebars to a page (three columns) but you can use the Visual Composer page builder which comes with the theme to easily insert 4 columns into a page and add ads to a column.

Would there be a reason why when i make 2 different posts and choose video that one I can see the video on the home page and when clicked the text all i get is the video post and no video just a link and the 2nd post the exact opposite. Both are using video from Vimeo. The 2nd post I cant see the video on the home page but when you click on the text I see the video on the post side ?

I just wish this theme could support facebook video for video posts like Cactus Themes does so well with theirs (Video Pro Theme and NewsTube, True Mag), I bought this but stuck with video pro because of this simple feature as i do a lot of stuff through facebook video instead of youtube and vimeo

i can just use a theme i already purchased to do that without the cost of a developer. I think you should implement it out of trend, with facebook live streams and such its a useful tool to just embed the video in there.

I can’t replicate any issues, what problem are you having specifically?
I thought it might be WP 4.7 – your info does state WP 4.6.1 so I changed back to that. If I try to install the Socialize Plugin Zip I’m getting an error stating that it cannot be found at – /home/viddicou/public_html/wp-content/themes/socialize/lib/plugins/socialize-plugin.zip
Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.
Plugin not activated. A higher version of Socialize Plugin is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.
Bit strange as I can see the plugin in the file manager.
I think I found the issue – your latest version has the Socialize Plugin as an archive rar file but no specification that it’s a zip and therefore WordPress couldn’t locate it.
You’re right that’s the issue. I’ve submitted the theme again to fix this in the download. To fix it yourself, zip the “socialize-plugin” folder located at socialize-theme/socialize/lib/plugins/ or just manually upload “socialize-plugin” folder to your plugins directory.

Like the theme, but it’s slow. Really slow. Tried ALL the optimiztions you’ve mentioned, but it is still crawling, even when hosted on a VPS, with nothing else on it, and a fresh install.
Trying to contact you via support ticket, but when I go to do so, and select “Socialize” it does not do anything. Verified with Envato, so no idea why. Not amused at all, as I’ve had to do multiple reinstalls to try and fix this slow theme to no avail.

You’ve had this theme for over 7 months, why did you wait until now to raise this issue?
I have to say it’s unlikely to be a theme issue, if it was then everyone else would be experiencing the same thing and they don’t. With nearly 1500 buyers, very few have ever raised this issue and when they do it always turns out to be a server issue.

What exactly do you mean by The Events Calendar integration? Is it themed/styled to match the rest of Socialize? Does it support Community Events and are these integrated into the profile, user account sections?
