I’m trying to copy my site to a new server and am having trouble getting the theme to look the same as it did on the old server. I had made a lot of changes from the default porto settings, and I thought copying the db tables over would have done the trick. But when I turn things on it looks like a default porto theme. Are settings stored in the file system too?

That might work for a normal install but I’m trying to move a site out of a multi-site install to a single site install. So I’m trying to manually upload tables to save the settings. But that hasn’t worked.

Sorry to say that you have purchased the old Porto theme created by “Spyropress”. We have developed this Porto theme with the author named “SW-Themes”. You can not get the latest files until you will purchase this new theme from the new author. We have not created the older Porto theme.

First of all thanks for using interest in the Porto theme.
1. No, Porto theme has no .mo and.po files for the Arabic Language, but you can easily translate the theme’s default English Language files or we will give you the .mo and .po files of Arabic Language.
2. If you want to use all the settings of the Corporate 3 Demo then you can change it from Porto >> Install Demo >> Click the install button on the Corporate 3 Demo then select only the Theme Options checkbox and uncheck other and click Install. In this way, you can get all the corporate 3 Demo settings.
3. If you are using the WPML plugin then you can hide the flag from the WPML plugin settings. Under Languages> Language switcher option>What to include in the language switcher> uncheck the flag.
4. Please Edit your page and from Page Options >> Banner Type set as Revolution Slider >> Select the slider from Revolution Slider option and update your page.
5. There is no need to activate or purchase the new license for these plugins. These plugins are already included in the theme package and already purchased the license by Smartwave. This activation message for those who want to update the plugin directly from their websites. In our case, you can receive the updated plugins always with the theme update release.
So no need to activate it, just ignore the message and feel free to use it.

The skin css permissions issue is really annoying. I have followed all the necessary permission granting of the skin_1.css, skin_rtl_1.css and the changes still don’t display. I really think you guys should go back to the drawing board with customizing in your theme options. I have wasted more time troubleshooting problems than building a site. Please remove this aspect of your theme! It is a great theme aside from this.

Hi, Im having serious issue with Mailpoet plugin. Whenever I input email address inside the newsletter box and press “subscribe”. It shows this error message: “Oops! There is a problem with this form: textStatus:error errorThrown:Not Found responseText: We’re sorry, but the page you were looking for doesn’t exist.”

1. Yes, you can disable the filters from mobile device by using this custom CSS code:
@media (max-width: 600px){ ul.portfolio-filter.nav.nav-pills.sort-source { display: none; }}
2. Yes, you can add the selected categories to show on the page by using the Porto Portfolio VC element, in category ID field add the selected category IDs to show the portfolios.
You can find the category iD from the URL of the Portfolio category, edit the category >> in URL you see the Post ID which you can use as category ID in the VC element.

when viewing a portfoilo type post is viewed on a hand held device. the scrolling “featured image” section (left sidebar position) appears as the first element displayed. Is there a way to either hide that element on hand held or change the position it occurs in the scroll?

You can not change the position of the sidebar but you can set it as a navigation on the mobile view from Appearance >> Theme options >> General >> Enable the Show Sidebar in Navigation on Mobile option.

I’m having trouble saving changes to the Body Font in the Typography settings. It’s set to 12px and 13px line height. If I change the font size and/or the line height and save it, the page reloads and it’s set to the same as it was before the changes. However, if I save the color setting and save, it takes just fine. I’ve tried to compile the css to see if that helps, it does not. What am I doing wrong?

If you want to translate these words and other English words then you have to translate the theme’s default languages files into your language. You can find these files inside wp-content/themes/porto/languages folder en_GB.po and .mo files.
