To create a new custom sidebar section, please follow below steps:
1. Please navigate to Theme Options > Sidebar Options, then click create sidebar, then input sidebar (ie: sb1), then click save changes.
2. After then, please navigate to Appearance > Widgets, then add widgets into that section.
Now you can assign it into where you want.

I like both of the food blog layouts, but I prefer vertical/portrait orientation for photos. Can that be easily adjusted on any homepage and most specifically on the top of the new Food demo?
Also on that same demo, there’s a banner ad placeholder right below that top photos. Can I add large text or graphic there instead? Thx! Beautiful theme.

1. The theme will automatically resize the thumbnail for carousel when you upload images.
If you want to change the ratio of thumbnails, We need to change some line of PHP codes in functions.php file.
2, Yes, the theme support script code advertising and custom image, you can create image and add into ad widgets.

1. To change the category icon color, please navigate to Posts > Categories, then select a category you want to change, and click on edit.
After then, please scrolling down the page, you can input the hex color into Category Color Picker,
2. You are using the header style 2, so the logo cannot bigger than navigation bar. Please navigate to Look Options > Navigation Options > Navigation Height then input the height you want. You also can change to header style 1, the logo will be displayed full size as you want.

“translation-ready” is mean the theme can translate to your language if you don’t use English.
For WPML, that plugin allows you can publish a multi-language website ie: English and Spain, it doesn’t relate to translation functions and at this version, the theme doesn’t compatible with this plugins.

The theme uses title post font for all other headings, so please navigate to Look Options > Typography > Post Typography, and then you can change font family value of post title font option.
