I have checked the download, but the required plugins are not part of the package. I get the error:-

This is solved – I had activated the Child theme (on purpose) so the installer for the additional plugins was looking in the wrong place.
By Activating the original (parent) theme – the plugins were installed.

You can hide background image to any device by adding device resolution. Below example has mobile horizontal size resolution custom css. If you want to hide from tablet then change 767px to 979px. You can edit backgroiund color from blue to any other color’s rgb value or remove it for default customizer setting color.

Please add above css in admin > appearance > customizer > Custom CSS > Add Custom CSS box.

Sortable portfolio is good for 15-20 items and for more items we suggest you to use “Classic” portfolio which has horizontal menu like sortable portfolio.

Oh, yes, thank you! I changed it to classic portfolio and how can I show categories on the top of the classic portfolio page?
You can create classic portfolio navigation with following steps.
1. Go to admin > pages > add new – add portfolio pages. You can keep all portfolio page title same but exclude categories in each portfolio page. For example in portfolio 1 – keep category one uncheck and check all other categories.
2. Now go to admin > appearance > menus.
Create new menu and add all portfolio pages in this menu. Replace page title with category names to display in horizontal menu.
Now go to admin > appearance > menus > manage locations ( you will find two tabs on menus page – second tab is “manage locations” )
3. Select menu name in “Classic Portfolio Page Horizontal Menu” dropdown. Save Changes and Refresh any portfolio page which will display horizontal menu with category names.

You can edit this image by following steps.
1. Mouse over on “Single Image” text which has tiny image or left column in visual composer. When you mouse over, you will find green color small menu which has icons and text .Click on “pencil” icon.
2. Popup box will open. Click on red icon of image thumb to remove demo image and then click on green color “plus” icon to insert new image.
3. Insert new image and click on blue color “Save Changes” button to save new image.
4. Update page and check front end to view new image.

Also, the demo import is not working, I cant seem to find the Method 1 – One Click Demo Install so I followed the steps for Method 2 – XML Import – Full Content of Demo Site. I’ve done the xml several times now the result that I keep on having is the Request Timeout.

Hi, I didn’t install the child theme, I upload and installed kids-world the parent one
We are agree with you because previous upload had missing zip file which we already fixed but somehow it was not changed from themeforest server so we re-uploaded it again today.
If possible please download installable version only Or we will do it all by getting admin login details.

1. If you installed and activated “child theme” and then trying to install plugins then it will not install because child theme doesn’t have these pluigns.
You have to deactivate child theme, activate parent theme and then install all plugins. One click demo will also work after this step.
After finishing initial setup you can start theme customization with child theme activation.
2. Plugins are necessary to use all features including one click demo install. If you don’t install required plugins then you can’t use shortcode, visual page builder, meta boxes etc.

But this answer was not very helpful! I’m working with the parent theme. It’s clear to install all neccessary plugins, but that’s not possible, so I’m waiting for you! I told you, that the error is completely correct “A valid URL was not provided”, because there is simply no zip-archive for the Pre School Shortcodes in the theme included! So the error is correct.
I paid a lot of money for this theme and can not install it completely.

When you added support post then we re-checked theme zip file and found it has all plugins. Please download installable WordPress version. I am not getting your question. Can you give us where you find this reference to create new PHP file so we can give detail answer of this question.
If you want to do any changes in theme templates like events, classes, testimonials etc. then you can follow child theme installation steps and then go to FTP server, create new folder or copy template folder from “kids-world” file ( you can copy from your local pc of latest version theme file’s “kids-world/template” folder.
This will tell WordPress to follow first child theme’s template files and skip parent theme template file.

I’m trying to get custom, duplicate-able pages that are styled similar to the “Classes” page. Basically I want to have multiple versions of this page for different things, so that I am not limited to one backend “classes” category to place these events in. Is this possible to do in visual composer? Or can I edit files via FTP to add additional “post type” so that I have more than just “classes” or “events”?

You can create multiple categories and then exclude categories to create unlimited classes for diff. purpose.
If you don’t want class format then you can use visual composer for classes single page.
If you want to display text with right column format to any other pages then you can use services icon style. Below is an example to display icon with box like classes table style. Copy below code and paste it in text editor “Text” mode ( not “Visual” ) and then click on visual composer’s “Backend Editor” blue color button to view it drag n drop format. ( when you copy and paste then don’t forget to check “pre” tag before and after the code )

Creating new custom post type and display like classes template is little complex to explain in support chat. If you have good skill in php then you can use below hint to create new post type
Open ../wp-content/plugins/pre-school-shortcodes/post-types/ Folder.
Now in this folder open all 4 php files.
Give new custom post type “myclasses” or any other name than “classes”
Copy and paste all code of Classes post type in all file and add next to classes post type code and changes classes to new post type name, same for category slug and metaboxes.
When you create new classes custom template then change post type classes to new post type name.
Its little complex but you will get overview of how custom post type works. You can also refer YouTube videos to create new custom post types.

Thanks for the response. I figured this is what it was. I have been attempting the php editing and can see the new post types in the back end, and add categories and such, but after publishing and trying to view the new page I get a 404 error. Which file do I need to edit / recreate in order to get a page that will list the new post types similar to the classes page?
1. Please try “Flush Permalinks” to fix the issue. ( you can view video tutorial with this tutorial in YouTube )
2. You have to add template file in template folder with template name like clssses.
3. Please check post type name is new post types in template file, this should be match “exactly” with new post type names.

-I would like a page similar to http://kidsworld.premiumthemes.in/classes/ . -Ideally it would say “DIY Projects” at the top, for example, instead of Classes. -At the top of this example page, where it says “Play Group”. “Primary”, and “Story”, I would like to place my own categories of DIY projects that would show up instead. -I would need a different template for these pages that would not include the things such as age, cost, class size, etc, but instead have my own text. -This would also be reflected in the post itself.
I would be willing to change the classes/events templates as well if that would be easier. Thanks for the assistance.
If you want to change only in URL then you can use theme filters like this example : click here
If you want to add more custom posts then PHP and WordPress functions knowledge is required or you can hire any good developer from envato studio because we can’t explain each steps because of complex custom work.
Hello, A question regarding sorting items (classes) among themselves: at our web site https://clck.ru/ATbPJ we need them to be sorted manually, ex., by date/time of the post, however changing this does not affect at user end at all. We also tried installing various plugins such as “Simple Custom Post Order”, it does work fine on any other web site except this one. So, how do we sort classes?

You have to edit class post “publish date” to sort because class metabox date is only for display purpose and doesn’t play any role in WordPress query.
If you want to display post as per “Simple Custom Post Order” plugin sort then you have to do simple change in classes template file. Create new folder “templates” in child theme and add “classes.php” template file ( copy from parent theme ) .
In this file remove below code line #94
