Hello all,
i use the doctor template. I want to show all the doctors from different ctaegories(e.g gastreology, orthopedic etc). Above the doctors i select filter , so a nice filter with tabs (categories tab) is shown.If i press in some category , only the doctors from this category are visible and that is correct. My question is that in filter categories , the categories name have been sorted alphabetically. i want to be shown with manual order or order id. how can this be done ???
Also I want in doctors profile to create a new field like a facebook like button or rate star, So the doctors woth more likes or stars to be shown in the list first and not alphabetically…
Is there a way ???

1. yes, you can change the order by using the 3rd party plugin Simple custom Post Order. https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-post-order/2. Sorry to say that you can not do this. There is no option in the theme to do that.

Product Short Description text is getting squashed on the single product page of the items as its removing the extra line breaks / (1 enter) to insert a empty line with out text to separate text.
It is rendering it ok on the product archives page when displaying it as Grid

Actually, you have removed the line break from the text editor that is why it is not showing on the front end. I did not removed the line break from the Product Short Description text WP removes HTML < p > < /p >< br > tags form the Product Short Description text when saving the page.
The Single product page should process the Short Description text as it dose on the product archives page when displaying it as Grid its showing the Short Description text there fine.
So why is it only crushed the Short Description text on the Single product page and not on the product archives page when displaying it as Grid where its showing the text fine ?
Please try it on your test website.
Step to reproduce:
1- create a new product.
2- in the Short Description box add a full paragraph with empty line in between the paragraph.
3- save the page
4- go to front end Product archives page and display it as Grid.
5- you will see the Short Description keeps your line spaces fine there which is GOOD.
6- click on the Product so you see it on the Single product page… there you will see the Short Description is being crushed / no empty line space in between your paragraph…. NOT GOOD.
So why is the front end product archives page displaying as Grid.shows the short description text ok but not on the single product page ?
My bad by Grid i mean List View !

Yes, the child theme is the best way to save all the customization in your site. We have already included the child theme in the theme.zip file which you have downloaded from ThemeForest. There is no need to create the new child theme.
For the graphic changes, if you make the changes from Theme options then your changes will not lose after the theme update never.

If you set any settings from the Theme Options then it will remain always save and not will remove after the theme update. Or if you have added any custom CSS in Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS section, it will also remain to save always after the theme update you will never lose anything from Theme Options.

Yes, you can activate the child theme after made the customization in the theme options of the porto theme. When you will make the changes in the theme options then the theme generate the new CSS files in wp-content/themes/porto/css/ folder with _1 file names.

To which email address? mysql log are increasing to infinite just when u start importing demo content. The server is running nginx / http2 / php7.1-fpm. This process get stuck just before the end and during this time log files (/var/log/mysql) can increase to 30Gb or even more.

So please before installing the Demo change the PHP version and after install the Demo you can revert back to PHP 7 version for the fast speed. When I load the sample data, it loads most of it – but get stuck on “processing menus” – have tried it three times. The result is that the Home page is not complete and neither are the menus.
Is there a way how I can load the sample data COMPLETE like you have it on your system – i.e. Shop 1?

Portfolio items do not appear in the order in which they were created. Is there no option to set order in portfolio?

1. You can use this plugin to change the order of the portfolios: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-post-order/2. Porto Building Project is not the 1st portfolio it’s the last one that is why the previous arrow is showing on the page. Actually, WP shows the post date wise in descending order means latest added post will show on the first number but it is added in the last. I hope I am clear now.

Regardless of whether a project is re-ordered using this plugin,The last project on wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=portfolio list will always appear first on www.mydomain.com/projects/ regardless of its creation date
