Hey, some nights I struggled with WPML. Finally, I found it to be a bug in the theme of the latest version 4.2.2 The7 and WPML. I tried different themes and they work. I am frustrated by the fact that translations of the page are not saved. The behavior is different every time. Sometimes they manage to save the first, second or third attempt. The behavior is unpredictable. Do you know about this issue?

You can use any demo. You can mix and match them. There are no limitations as long as you do this on one site.
I have updated theme and when I am going to save “strips” options, I am getting error message “dt-the7/inc/extensions/wp-less/lib/Compiler.class.php on line 133” due to this reason website template is looking worst. Please help me out.

Hi guys, just a very strong recommendation: you are loading full-size images on blog lists. I have this set as my homepage, and its causing a major performance issue, even with browser/CDN caching, you name it…..why load them if they’re not needed and shoot for a smaller scale version instead. Here is link to Google Insights running your demo’s blog list page, which right now scores a 63/100 on desktop, 56/100 on mobile. As you can see the major issue is image compression. And PS I am aware of the lazy load feature but even still this test is with it included. I have a couple of marketing plugins requiring script running above the fold (that are needed), so with those and this the end result is very poor. Blog list pages are a pain for most authors: you have to account for images responsiveness. When a layout collapses to a single column view you need a bigger featured image. And then there are high-dpi (“retina”) images. That’s why we have to keep them oversized.
I will ask our guys to take a close look at what our fellow authors are doing and if there’s a viable solution – we will implement it shortly.
Thanks for the quick reply. And I agree this is a nagging issue for the reasons you mentioned. I was mainly wondering if it were possible to use one of Wordpress’ scaled down versions vs a larger, “header” type size mirroring the original upload. Thanks again.
It’s a bit more complicated. Theme uses modified version of “Aqua resizer” class to create different sizes of images based on context in which those images are being used. You can contact our support and ask our programmer, Daniel, how/where to alter the image sizes.
Thanks again. No problem I can take a look at where they’re being sourced easily enough. For me, I try to shave more time off if I can. I do acknowledge that blog pages on most commercial themes mirror this issue. Very few pass the grade in this sense, if you know what I mean.

Hi guys, Quick question. I am using the boxed version of the site and I have used some custom css to make the background of my navigation to be a different colour (green) but there are tabs on the side that remain white (the page background colour). How do I make those tabs not be white without changing the page background? Thanks

Hi there. Still my favourite theme! I’ve got The 7 4.1.3 running on one of my sites. The Visual Composer has just stopped working after updating my Wordpress version. My question is, as there are hundreds of pages and portfolio items, if I update The7 to the most recent version, will it mess up the site’s current settings? I really can’t afford to redesign the site at this stage but need VC to work! Can you let me know what the best course of action is? Thank you so much.

Hello, I have an issue where a menu item that has a drop down menu is highlighted when on the home page, which I don’t want. I have tried every setting/configuration to get rid of it. I want to add a Home button to the menu, problem is that when someone first lands on site both the Home and Menu items are highlighted, I just want the home button highlighted. You are referring to the “Main demo”. It features a ginormous menu that will seldom be used on real-life website. On some computers in the point where menu switches from stationary to floating mode noticeable scrolling “jerks” can be observed. If you cannot reproduce the issue on other demos, you can purchase theme safely without worrying about scrolling jerks.
