I’m afraid that users will not navigate to the end of the page on the mobile, because to scroll to the next “slide” the person has to give two scrolls.
Can you disable this in Mobile? Leave site with default scrolling? Or make it more sensitive?

There is indeed an option to disable the full page functionality on mobile – if you don’t see this option in the page full screen row metabox you’ll need to update your version of Salient

Yesterday I bought one of your themes, but it was a problem with my purchase, I had bought it with my account and not with the account i should bought it. Then I made a Refund request, but I didn’t have any response yet, so today, I decide to cancel the refund, but i don’t know how to do it. I have tried today to download the theme i have purchased, but it didn’t download, I guess is for the refund process.

Presales question: 1) If i buy the theme again:) is it possible to Import the landing page from the”photography” demo and then import other pages from other demos???? I dont want to install the whole demo because i like certain features from certain pages of several demos, is that possible?
2) if i take the photography demo landing page as an example (http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-photography/), can i attach links to the photos displayed so they can take the user to several places on the site? Can i also add on the landing page blog posts as well as certain products from ecommerce shop all looking in the mansory style layout on the landing page of the photography demo layout so they all mesh together same style?

1. It will be possible in the upcoming update, but for now you’d need to import both demos
2. You can give each image a custom link to lead wherever needed, but there’s no way to automatically add products and blog posts in an image gallery as blocks – they’d need to be added in manually as images and then linked accordingly

I was wondering how you acheived this as I don’t understand how it was made using Contact Form 7 and how you were able to make all the inputs on one line.

I wonder if you could hlep me with a problem on mobile. I’ve added a Quickview to your Woocommerce products shortcode (using carousel) on this page – http://www.site6.brisbne.pl/ (the products at the top of the page).
Quickview is working nicely on desktop view and tablet view when you click a product, however, on a mobile phone, the quickview lightbox doesn’t work. I’m thinking it’s a conflict with the carousel but I don’t get any errors in console – the quickview simply doesn’t activate on click. Is there some option that carousel does differently on mobile compared to desktop view that might block the quickview?

You’ll need to edit the productCarouselInit in the init.js file – as that carousel element changes the tap functionality on mobile devices and prevents links from triggering unless it’s a standard page link (to avoid accidental clicks when swiping on mobile)

I wrote a while back saying that the Salient Visual composer was not working well in my pages. I found out Yoast was the problem. Well the problem is back but only in portfolio items.
I can see the VC part, but there is always a shortcode text box above it (that old wordpress standard box). I can’t seem to edit my portfolio pages correctly.
I deactivated all my plugins, deleted the salient VC, reinstalled form scratch. Still nothing is working. It only seems to be doing that when I add a new portfolio item. If I edit an existing one. all is good.
Please help! P.S.: My support plan expired as mentioned last time.

Hi, I noticed that the plugin I’ve been using to display custom menus to different types of user, Nav Menu Roles, seems to no longer be working. Seems others have had this issue after upgrading to WP 4.7.x — see here and here.
I’ve confirmed this seems to be an incompatibility with Salient as it works as expected when I switch over temporarily to a default WP theme. I can temporarily fix this by installing this tiny plugin as a patch, but would be great if it could also be fixed in an upcoming Salient update Thanks!

Hey, because you have it entered inside of a Visual Composer text block, VC is parsing it and adding it to the excerpt – this would occur outside of Salient just using VC as well. A workaround would be to remove it form VC and add it into the single.php file where desired to avoid this
Hi there, fantastic theme I’ve spotted something with the mobile menu, not sure if it’s me or a small bug:
On mobile, when using the slide out menu if you go into a submenu and then close the menu (by pressing the X), when you open the menu again with the hamburger, it appears to be stuck in the submenu you left it on, the Back button doesn’t seem to work.
If you refresh or navigate to another page it’s fine because it loads the top level menu again and behaves as expected. It only appears to happen when you close the menu when you are within a submenu.

Hi there, thanks for coming back to me, I’m narrowing down the issue.
Some of the custom CSS I was using to fix another issue seems to have caused my problems.
So I’ve reverted and I’m now back to my original issue – the slide out menu doesn’t seem to format itself correctly in RTL languages. The Back button has some strange formatting across 2 lines and tucks itself up under the close (‘X’) button.
I’ve tried floating this button left so that is appears in the same place on the English part of the site but this is what got me to the original issue I posted about.
Any ideas please?

I have installed a fresh copy of the theme on my local machine. I am not not importing any demos, just creating my website from scratch.
The mobile navigation the fresh install is using is the one shown in the corporate theme. Example: http://imgur.com/a/Vfq1P
How can I change it and make it look like the Modern Creative theme. Example: http://imgur.com/a/Vfq1P
I could not find a way to do that in the settings.

I purchased Salient a number of years ago and have used it at least 10 times – best theme ever btw! However, lately I’m having some issues with the numbers and navigation arrows on my minimal testimonial slider and cannot seem to figure out what is causing them to break (go to http://176.efa.myftpupload.com/ and scroll down towards the bottom). I am using the latest version of Salient (7.6) and have the latest WP version installed (4.7.2). Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Can you see any good reason why the nectar slider has some sort of strange shake upon slider change here: bcomesafe.com? You have to wait a couple of seconds for it to rotate.

I am looking for the social icons for the secondary header in v7.6. I can find them in the footer, but not the header.
I usually just replace soundcloud with fa-houzz or fa-yelp or whatever the icon the client wants. I am just not finding it in the header.php for v7.6. >.<

I have been having issues since I purchased this over a year ago. I noticed since I installed this that my website is so insanely slow. I don’t understand why or how to fix this. Does anyone else have issues relating to this or any suggested fixes. I don’t have anything complex on my site, just large images. My site is www.jokermartini.com I need help please!

1. You have images on your page over 1MB in size, one of them is 4MB https://jokermartini.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/curly_paintswatches.jpg – that is in no way suitable to be displayed on the web – you should be aiming for under 400kb, please compress your images properly
2. You have not enabled gzip compression, page caching or minfication on your setup – these are crucial for a high performing website, not just with Salient. For this I recommend using a plugin called W3 Total cache

I’m working on uploading smaller images, however i noticed even when i change the images and click ‘Update’ it takes several minutes sometimes for the project to update. So not only is the site slow but so is the admin back-end. If you run my website using googles site analyzer you’ll see scripts from salient are blocked: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
Hey, to reduce the penalty from “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” in Google page speed, you can enable javascript and css minification in W3 total cache – images shouldn’t take minutes to update after uploading new ones unless they’re cached. Have you verified that this happens even when clearing your cache?
Ok great info, thanks ill do that. I’ve started reducing and compression my images and that has sped up my website and admin page all around.
Just for added info, GoDaddy blocks the W3 plugin from being used on their severs since they handle the caching and stuff on their end automatically. However I’ll lookin into some other plugins for enabling mini css and javascript enabling. thanks
