Hi there on my website I had the following code setup in a text box:

[vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”footer-area-2”]

And it was pulling in the content from a footer “sidebar” into a text section (listing 5 latest blog posts). I updated to latest Salient last Friday, and latest VC today and now it’s just showing the code not the list of latest blog posts.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Also, the Text with Icon images are suddenly showing really big (like original upload size) instead of a small icon size like they used to. I have temporarily fixed this using Custom CSS code box, but it relates to the CSS I think: .iwithtext .iwt-icon img

I’ve set every available option under fonts to have latin-ext subset but no luck. Also I cleared cache to make sure it doesn’t interfere. How can I solve this?

Hello, after import demo data of Salient 8.0, the menu item (pull right) has no background color. I checked settings with http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/pull-right-nav-items/ and everything is set as in documentation. I figured it out it’s missing class=”button_solid_color_2” in #menu-item-477, but I don’t know how to add them to the code. Thank you for help.

I uploaded the latest Salient and the visual composer doesn’t work and this also happened before I updated to the latest theme. This is odd. Here is what it states now: There is a new version of Salient Visual Composer available. View version 5.0.1 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. Download new version from CodeCanyon.

Salient 8 is failing to install on WP 4.7.3 for me. It just asks are you sure want to do this and tells me it fails

I have a few issues with the theme that I need resolved.

1) I would like to add a symbol (USD, CAD..) beside the price so customers know what currency we are using. How do implement this?

2) When I add items to my cart, and click on “view cart”, It takes me to a page that says, “your cart is currently empty”. mobile version seems to be working fine with pc version having issues.

3) When at checkout page: when you are choosing wether to pay with “paypal” or “credit card payment” The emblem/icon for “credit card payment” does not show up properly. (however, the paypal icon shows up fine)

In your shortcode​-processing.php, $image_src = wp_get_attachment_image_src($bg_image_id, ‘full’); is defined. It would be nicer if the image size would not be full, but somewhat smaller. ​ I am trying to set up a site with multiple sliders on, but that renders the page very slowly.

Theme updated to version 8.0

I’m having trouble with the slide-out navigation. The “close” option for the mobile menu (thx). Also, when you have a secondary menu in the header, the Hamburger menu is not aligned properly. You can see the mobile issues in your own preview of the Product demo, it doesn’t work. Also, with the secondary menu in the header, the spacing throws everything off in Mobile display. When using the Parallax effect for full screen columns (see your Product demo) the next column doesn’t get triggered because of the added height from the secondary menu.

Here’s what I’m looking for help with…

• Fix Mobile menu when Secondary Menu is active • Fix the Mobile menu when you select a link or try to close the menu (doesn’t close) • Provide a solution for the secondary menu when in Mobile (add the secondary menu items to slide-out menu when in Mobile and hide header or something similar)

Also, I purchased the “support” for $35 to try to get these issues resolved and no response other than “possibly this will be fixed in the update” which it wasn’t. Not too stoked on the support with this theme, which is unfortunate because this theme has some really nice features.
