The Salient VC is a theme specific version of VC, you can install it from appearance > install plugins (make sure you deactivate another versions you may have on first) – if you don’t see that option please open a ticket in regards https://themenectar.ticksy.com

I’m having trouble with the slide-out navigation. The “close” option for the mobile menu (thx). Also, when you have a secondary menu in the header, the Hamburger menu is not aligned properly. You can see the mobile issues in your own preview of the Product demo, it doesn’t work. Also, with the secondary menu in the header, the spacing throws everything off in Mobile display. When using the Parallax effect for full screen columns (see your Product demo) the next column doesn’t get triggered because of the added height from the secondary menu.
Here’s what I’m looking for help with…
• Fix Mobile menu when Secondary Menu is active • Fix the Mobile menu when you select a link or try to close the menu (doesn’t close) • Provide a solution for the secondary menu when in Mobile (add the secondary menu items to slide-out menu when in Mobile and hide header or something similar)
Also, I purchased the “support” for $35 to try to get these issues resolved and no response other than “possibly this will be fixed in the update” which it wasn’t. Not too stoked on the support with this theme, which is unfortunate because this theme has some really nice features.

Hey KarenZack, if you’re using a child theme with the header.php file in it, you’ll need to update it to reflect the current version of 8.0

Loving Salient 8. Thanks for the update. Quick question about the ‘Video Lightbox’ play button animation – is there a way to get the ‘attention’ directing ‘pulsing’, on the play button, on a standard button?

As of now that wouldn’t be possible without custom modding, however you just use the new style without any inline text to end up with just a play button

Hey, you change the “portfolio” to be any word you desire from the theme options, but removing it all together would require custom modding for WordPress as by default post types are put in the slug for the single pages

VC doesn’t offer a way to do that – you’ll need to always fill the columns up to equal 1. Use this in the custom column layout “1/12 + 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/12”

Hey without seeing the actual URLs I can only give my best guess – have you tried to verify the responsive settings are the same in the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab?

Flashing Header before loading animation only on Product Pages
I know my support has expired, but I was wondering if you would like to just give me maybe a hint, or some sense of direction just so I know where to look at …
I have a website I created http://www.vinotecatohani.ro that seems to have some problems (very small and maybe for some undetectable) but I find it very frustrating personally:
- it happens only for products (product pages)
- when I load a product, just before it displays the “loading animation” it flashes the header (empty) and the website logo (just for a very brief moment)
- but when I return to that same page it no longer happens…
For me at first it looked like some sort of caching problem, but I don’t have any caching plugins or functionalities installed, neither the wordpress default caching is activated…
Then I started looking at plugins, I eventually disabled all of them, and the problem still persisted…
I have been browsing the internet for like 2 weeks now and I simply cannot find any help from older tickets, threads or discussions…
I also played with the combinations from Page Transitions Salient Options, but the problem persisted in every case. But you can see it most “eye catching” when “Fade Out On Click” is enabled.
I honestly have run out of options… Please help me, it would be very much appreciated!

The top row in your screenshot is using a nested row inside of it, this would come in handy if you wanted multiple rows inside of one row. The benefits of this would be one background could extend to contain all child rows

Hi there,
I have a question about the portfolio settings in Salient. We have 140 portfolio items devided into 8 categories + ’’all’’. As it doesn’t make sense to show/load 140 portfolio items on the homepage, we want to set the max projects per page on 12 or 16.
When we put the project per page on 16, it shows 16 on the ’’all’’ category. When we go to the second category it only shows 2 items, the 3rd category only shows 1 item and so on.. (only the 16 projects from ’’all’’ will show.)
Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
We want the starting category ’’all’’ to show the latest 12 or 16. The 2nd to show all to a max of 16, the 3rd to show all to a max of 16 and so on for the remaining categories.

Hey mathias94, that would require a fair amount of custom development as you’re looking to have the filters pull in new projects rather than what’s already on the page. The plugin isotope can only sort what’s currently loaded
I installed WooCommerce Additional Variation Images but it is not working. I selected the “Default lightbox functionality” for the “Single Product Gallery Type” and it changes the images as expected. However the Lightbox does not work. Clicking on the featured image brings up the lightbox but only shows that image. Clicking on one of the variations (thumbnails) opens that image in a new window in full size. If I select “Gallery slider with zoom on Hover” which is what I really want, then the additional images won’t change (only the featured image does). I realize it is a compatibility issue (since it works fine on other themes. Can you provide code to get this to work? Please lmk… Thanks
BTW, I have the Enable Lightbox for product images checked in the Woocommerce settings (I tried turning it off but makes no difference)

Hi I bought the Salient theme, but I see no standard possibility to insert a simple responsive table for opening hours. (the pricing table function does not supply what we seek). In the “text block” editor, there is no “table/row/column” functionality. How can this be done ?

8.0 added in an element that could be used to create responsive tables called “Horizontal List Item” in your Salient studio, you can add an example a full table created with it by searching for the “Career Table” template

Almost immediate reply from support… In case anyone else has this problem, another plugin was apparently loading an older version of Redux Framework. All I had to do was install the standalone plugin (Redux Framework) from the Wordpress repository and all is now well.

You’re welcome When checking the scripts/css files that were being loaded (you can see that in the developer tools) I saw that that plugin was loading one which was overriding all the icons of Salient

It looks like the code hadn’t copied when I moved the site from staging, so it is all fixed now. I do have another random question though. Is there a way to sort the portfolio posts randomly upon load and refresh–instead of by date? I’ve asked a couple of devs and they can’t figure it out. One suggested asking you.

Here is a little problem – I am using “No header & footer” feature with Page submenu element. I made an ID name for one of the last rows and placed the same ID name with # in front of it in one of menu links. I also have enabled “One Page Scroll Support” in the Salient panel, but it doesn`t work that way. I need to make a landing page without original header menu, but with custom menu + scroll. How to do it? Is this feature works only with the original header menu?
