I am noticing that my hero image on the mobile device isn’t responsive. It’s my hope that the hero image doesn’t have to be so tall. It appears that the 600px I set for the desktop version appears to be the same on my mobile devices. http://s663455391.onlinehome.us/

The amount of text you have in that section is what’s dictating the height – if you want it to appear smaller, you can adjust it like so:

Good ole media queries…was thinking about that. So I am a up and coming web developer. So did this change the font size of everything in the .subsub container.

Hi, I’m running all of the latest: Salient 8.0, Wordpress 4.7.3, Woocommerce 2.6.14 and when my customers add a product to cart and try to increase the quantity then push UPDATE, the page refreshes but quantity does not update to the new quantity or dollar amount. I’ve tried on all browsers, clearing cash, private browsing, etc., but no luck. All other plugins are up to date on my site.

Okay, looks like I resolved it. Wanted to post here for anyone else having this issue. I am using multi-site and have the plugin Wordpress HTTPS running. I noticed in the HTTPS plugin settings in the multisite admin dashboard, FORCE SSL EXCLUSIVELY was checked. I unchecked it and saved and it works fine now. Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble.

In the same page you say that:
“Make sure you’re using Salient Visual Composer v5.0.1 or greater to see the studio in its full form, earlier versions won’t show preview images & won’t have categories.”
But the VC version available with the last version of your theme (v7.6) is the 4.12.1.
How can I get the Salient Visual Composer v5.0.1 ?

I have issue with masonry portfolio items. Some of images are overlapping each other and I cant seem to figure out why. I have tried to edit featured images to exact sizes for wide tall, regular and it still doesnt work. Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Hi there. For some reason last two images on my page that are sizes 200×310 266×400 are streched and look really big on the web browser? Last time I looked they were OK and now suddenly this. Hey berry88, if you enable the option for fullscreen on the project header it will react to the users screen size – but for a non fullscreen project/page header there’s no way without custom modding to have it react the same as a percentage based padding row

Short question, is your theme fully compatible with the Yoast SEO plugin? Because SEO tools like semrush can’t seem to read/reach the .xml sitemaps. Any idea why?
This is the error given by the xml sitemap.
“XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document”
- There are probably several lines of whitespace preceding the <?xmltag To be sure this is the case, follow the steps on this page.
None of the other plugins caused the error, we checked. And the .xml sitemap worked when we changed themes. But when we changed back to the salient theme it gave the same error again. Hope you guys can look up what caused it.

A guide by Yoast says to check if it conflicts with plugins or the theme, so we deactivated all the plugins. and the sitemap still didn’t work. Then we changed back to a standard wordpress theme, and the sitemap did work. So it seemed like it had something to do with the Salient theme.
We really hope you can help us discover what causes it.

Just when I was about to buy the theme, I noticed that there aren’t any details about the compatibility with WPML or Slider Revolution. Don’t know if I asked this before, as I intend to buy several themes for my project and use them together in a wordpress multi-sites setup and I follow the development and updates on more then 9 themes. So, is Salient compatible with WPML and Slider Revolution? Also, I need a newsletter plugin. Can you give me an advice on what plugin should I use? I really don’t like MailChimp (don’t know why), instead I like Mailster (codecanyon) a lot. They can’t give me any advice if their plugin will work smoothly with Salient but I hope you can give me more details. Salient is compatible with slider revolution. I can’t guarantee 100% compatibility with Essential grid, I’ve seen users using it but I haven’t done testing myself. In general most third party plugins will work but it’s possible there could be styling conflicts as with any theme. For WPML, we’re not on their officially supported list but many users are using it and Salient is translation ready

I just updated to Salient 8.0 and I’m running WP 4.7.3. For some reason, after I updated none of the Visual Composer row background colors or images are showing. Additionally, the page header image and text color are no longer working. I tried creating a new page from scratch, but it has this same broken behavior. Looking at the code, the background color/image selections I make in Visual Composer are not making it into the element’s inline style.
To compensate, I’ve defined the background colors and images manually in the CSS so that they are showing, but this is cumbersome and much slower.

Altering the masonry layout alignment would require custom js development at this time. Unfortunately CSS alone wouldn’t be able to handle it
