Hello! I just bought the ark and it is awesome! However, your support ticket process is horrible and too time consuming. I just have a simple question. How do I adjust the slider height?

Thank you for your feedback. About the support ticket process: It’s actually pretty common, that when user open a support ticket, he forget to say something important. If he says everything, then he usually provides wrong WP login, which does not work. If he provides correct WP login, then there is this .htaccess protection. Our support ticket system is designed to preventing these errors (and many more). By this way, we are able to solve about 50% of tickets within the first answer, which actually saves your and our time as well. So the ticket openning system is actually great for you and for us and so far we are pretty satisfied with it. If this is a dealbreaker feel free to grab your refund.
About your slider height question: we have around 10 slider types in Ark theme and you forgot to write the important fact, which slider do you have on your mind?

Actually, re-reading my first comment, I was too aggressive as well. I apologize. The support ticket process really isn’t horrible, I was just working late last night and was in a bad mood. Your support ticket system is actually great. I totally understand what you mean now, it definitely is structured to save time in the long run. The refund bit wasn’t meant that way, we say it when we sense the customer is highly unsatisfied, it helps to ease their frustration by knowing they have an easy exit without losing any money. Plus we have a company policy that anyone can ask for a refund at any time if they feel like it. Other vendors usually require specific reasons and argue with you during refund process – we don’t.
I am glad you can see the form is designed to help both parties solve the question as soon as possible. But we understand that some things could have been done better and I think we just did that yesterday as I have explained in my previous reply. So no worries, we are happy to have you on board of our Ark and it’s great to see that you enjoy using it as well. Hello I bought the ark theme 1 week ago, bought the extended 1 year support, and ordered the installation…and still I have nothing working. Now the installer is telling me the problem is in the Theme… When I try to upload it´s unable to unload an an error is displayed … Where is my 1 year support? where is my express installer? I´ve already paid for all that….Help!!!

You need to realize, that the installer guy has nothing to do with us. There is no connection between us and the incompetent guy who tried to install your theme! It’s 2 different services.
1.) Ark is best rated theme across whole marketplaces. it works and works smoothly. If you have problems with install, please feel free to open a ticket at http://arktheme.com/open-ticket and we will get back to you asap
2.) I would recommend you to upload your theme via FTP. Google “upload wordpress theme via FTP”, there are tons of articles about this
3.) If you experience any issue, just open a ticket and we will get back to you ASAP. As you can see from our ratings, our answer time is tremendeous

Help me to fix this problem: Somehow, The themes quick save function does not refresh my site content automatically . And at the same time another problem i found That, I can not Customize live from theme>customize option . It says: Non-existent changeset UUID.

1.) Quick Save – this is really unusual, but it will be related to your server environment. Please open a ticket and include your FTP login, we will take a look: http://arktheme.com/open-ticket/
2.) Live Customizer – Ark architecture has been made “right” after 9 years of WP experience. It’s only theme in the world currently, which has been made right the way it should be. WP Live Customiser is a classic demonstration of “fast hack” from WP community, which has not been though trough.
So the “Live Customiser” could be only supported, if we screw the theme up, like all our competitors… Since we have different (right) architecture, it cant be supported, because its technologically not possible.
But we have all the Quick Save features and Sitemap features, so designing your site is actually pretty simple, fast and straightforward

i created a template page for my pages. i want to show same content on 100s of pages . but when i select the custom template i created in ark theme folder . page shows nothing. how can i add a template to my pages .

There is our Sitemap system behind this, which is another layer of creating every page of your website in our builder directly. You can use it for designing your custom pages, in the way which never been here before. Here is video example. You simply create new “Layout” in the sitemap, design it to your wish and then assign to page.

I have set ARK theme options to Default Classic – Center Aligned I have set Sitemap “Page” Header to Default Classic – Center Aligned
I have gone to Headers and edited the Default Classic – Center Aligned Header settings both wrapper and header content to have an new background image. Your placeholder image continues to be displayed.
Please advise what I am doing wrong.
Never mind – I’ve found that the images exists in title bar and not header.
Does Ark have an ajax login feature? Any idea if your multimedia is compatible with shoutcast/icecast radio broadcasting? Thanks!

Hello. Got into some problem here – I activated my theme on the Server. But on the Ark->Dashboard, it says – Thank you for updating to the latest version. Before using the theme, please activate your License to fully unlock the power of Ark.. And at the same time, on the License Activation Tab, it says – Your License has been succesfully activated for this domain. You are now enjoying the full version of Ark!
Any ideas?

Off-topic, but you still sell at $29! You are better than many others here that I have used thus far, and they sell at much higher prices. Dont you think the less price underrates your awesome product? *Just curious.

There is Mega Menu functionality. It can be activated in WP Admin -> Appearance -> Menu. Here you can enable the functionality on the first level page. Then you simply add your items as a sub-menu items and you are good to go

Hello, I have just purchased Ark but when I try to edit one of the demo pages with Fresh Builder it shows a loading wheel with the message “It can take up to 2 minutes after updating the theme due to advanced caching” and nothing happens. I’m working on local server (Mac – Mamp)

The problem is that after installed the theme, I want my site to be like demo (i imported main demo), but it seems that there should be more steps to finish.
But your documentation doesn’t say anything about importing demo to make site completely look like demo.

I mean, i’ve already imported it, but… Menus for example aren’t imported? Should I create menu structure manually? It’s a tough task for 260+ pages.

Menu import currently does not work due to bug in WordPress importer. It’s a task we are intensively working on as well and trying to find out suitable solution. In the meantime, if you go to WP Admin -> Pages -> All, you can click “Screen Options” at top right corner. Here you can set 999 posts per page and see all pages.

Using method you mentioned I would see only pages that were created, yes. But what for Menu? As I know menu is customized in Appearance – Menus via drag-and-drop function. And that’s hard to drag and drop all that pages.
And another question on menu. In the demo i see so-called headings in sub-menu. (may be menu categories). Here is what i;m talking about.
In the demo you see “Pages” menu element, and when menu appears there are categories – About pages (and a list of pages of this category), Business pages (the same) and else. How do I create such wide menus with this categories inside?

1.) Yes, official WordPress importer is having bug in importing menu’s. its not our fault and there is not much we can do, but we are still trying to find solution.
2.) Fullwdith menu – in WP Admin -> Appearance -> Menu you can enable the fullwidth menu as a option on top-level items.

1. We’ve uploaded a custom header plugin and it isn’t showing up is there anything we can change within the theme options to get it working?
2. Some of the elements don’t respond well on mobiles, is it possible to hide individual elements or rows or columns on mobiles and if so which?

Your theme certainly looks intriguing, because it supports dual sidebars and not many themes do so. The question is: can you have 2 sidebars in blog and take the full width of the screen? IMHO there is no point in having 2 sidebars in boxed mode, limited to, let’s say 1100 or 1200 pixels width (as I saw it in the demo).

Yes, this is one of the areas where Ark really excels. You can even create your own custom grids from scratch. We have all bootstrap elements (section, row, container, column) and a sidebar element available in Fresh Builder. This is great for advanced users, but we of course have simplified elements that are used by beginners. We tried to cover the widest spectrum of users with Ark. And you can create the whole website using Fresh Builder, not just an inner content of a post like other solutions on the market.

A quick question before buying: We’re looking in to getting a theme that works wwll with a recipe site. Searchable ingredients, possibility to rate recipes, a lot of filtering etc. Would this be a good theme for this?

We are developing built-in support for creating your own custom post types which will integrate very well with the already amazing toolset that Ark offers such as the Fresh Builder. This upcoming feature could allow you to create a recipe site of your dreams with the built-in tools instead of relying on some 3rd party code/plugin.

Well I’m not sure how to answer you, but I think that honest answer would be the WIN WIN for both sides. Your rating is subjective and means that you don’t like the WooCommerce pages. We are satisfied with them, otherwise we will not be supporting WC at all. There is one upcoming change, which allows you to design your own WC single pages in Fresh Builder with more user comfort than now. But overall we do not plan to do any changes you asked about. If this is a dealbreaker for you, feel free to get your “no-questions-asked” refund
