I’ve had trouble with an excerpt of blog posts not showing up when shared. It show only coding and not the tesxt I wrote. I don’t know anything about coding, but out of curiosity I did a View Frame Source. On all but the blog post pages, I can find the text from the webpage in the code. However, for blog posts, no text shows up, just the coding.
I’m wondering why that is (if it can be explained rather easily) and if that can lead to other potential problems besides not sharing right on some social media platforms.

Hey one9ooh6, have you modified the theme files at all? It seems there’s some unclosed HTML tag somewhere – if you didn’t it’s possible that a third party plugin is causing it as well

Hi, Where can I find the php-files, to customize the elements of the page builder please ? I want to copy/paste them in the root of the child theme, to modify them. By using the child theme those changes in the php files will be applied when the main theme is updated ?
For example I want to customize the output: template-home-4.php > “recent projects” > “Meta below thumb w/ links on hover”
I tried to find the proper files to do this, but I can’t find it anywhere …

Salient Visual Composer template files reside in: nectar/nectar-vc-addons/vc_templates
Any shortcodes that existed prior to integrating VC are processed in nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php

The Contact Form 7 is an integral part of this theme since day one. I was wondering, how can I style the ‘submit’ button just like the buttons the theme’s using. For example, use the ‘see through solid on hover’ style for submit?

That specific style should take custom css, but you can style the submit button to a basic nectar button in the Salient options panel > form style tab

Hi, I like the “logo clients” slider. But it only shows every logo beautifully vertically aligned, when they are all *exactly” the same width and height (which is uncommon with logo’s in real-life). How can I have the logo’s beautifully ordered and aligned and spaced vertically also ? I used your demo content importer, and uploaded logo’s and they appear all over the place. THANKS !

Hi, The method of “one portfolio image”-post for one picture with tag is very slow, and unhandy. I would like to add a slider with a title and with images on the homepage. 4 images should be visible page wide, and the slider functions with clickable arrows. When I use the module ‘Recent Work We’ve Completed For Our Amazing Clients’ I hae to use portfolio categories which is not handy, and add each item separately. Thanks!

The portfolio post type requires projects to be created just like posts in a blog – they’re all separate entries in the overall post type. If you just need a slider or image grid you can use the visual composer image gallery element http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/galleries/

I have a problem with content position in IE11. Content position is set to ‘Middle’, but is pushed to the top of the page.
I’m on the latest version of Salient and VC. How to fix this? If you need URL I have to share privately.

I found that activating the “Activate Fullscreen Rows” option in the Page Settings solves this issue, but ideally I’d like to run the site without this functionality (ie only choose the full height setting in the row options).
